The reason is because the biggest cities in the us tend to be run by democrats, and bigger cities tend to have more crime, its simple math. Unless you can prove that the reason they have such large crime rates, is because they are run by democrats your point doesn't stand. The point about that isn't even true, murders in republican cities have also risen 26% in the same data period as well, with Lexington Kentucky Crime rates rising 84%.
