A guard cries out: Halt! Who are you?

The front rider dismounts and says, pointing at his mounted mate:

"I am the humble steward of his royal majesty, King Æthelrod."

Silence ensues as the gate rolls open.

"Welcome to Caer Sidi," the guard said. The steward got back into his horse's saddle and rode in. The sun shone, the birds chirped and the flowers smelled lovely. It was another beautiful, peaceful day in The Potato Kuggel of Minas Tyrrith.
