I assume the countries hosting the World cup shouldn't vote.

We are quite excited for the World Cup as well. Wishing your team the best of luck.

Hello Britannia Prima, it is with great honour that Corsiantia has been given the task of hosting next year's World Cup.

We are honoured that we have been choses to host this famous competition, some additional information is that the results for the final 16 knockout stage will be announced soon.

The United States of Ikrasen will not be attending this world cup unfortunately as the current Civil war within the country has ment that it cannot put forward a team.

Another controversy is the decision of The Southern Republic as many within Corsiantia are debating sending them an offer to attend but are unsure as it is a colony of Carlist Catalonia.

The Supreme Admiralty has stated that each Province shall host a game within or near its Capital to encourage "National Unity" in the knockout stages with the final being in the capital Heliopolis.

We thank everyone for nominating us,

Thank you, you as well

Uberian National News Agency
Hello fellow Uberians! I hope you're enjoying yourself this week, as we will be recieving some extra snow this week! Better get your Hot Cocoa ready!
Today, We will be starting will our weekly Fun Fact!

UFF#3
The Uberian Ruboid has not been the first currency, or the second... or the third for that matter.
The Uberian Currency has gone through 13 different forms! The first was long ago, they were called Tangers, and were small orange spheres, and the bigger and darker they were, the more it was. Some other famous currencies were the Inliño which were peices of pink paper that was square, The Quaraviñalo, which is the longest currency name, and the most famous one was The Hej, which were small flat circles made of leaves, compared to the Ruboid, 1 Ruboid is 147,331 Hej's.

Wow! Isn't that crazy, I'm glad we have the Ruboid, a stable currency for once in, well... Awhile!
Anyways, we have some good news from the National group called the UNOWA (Uberian National Ocean and Waters Administration)
The UNOWA help study and monitor the Oceans and Water.

UNOWA is proud to annouce, that from the usual descrease annually in the amount of marine life surrounding Uberio's border has finally changed for once, normally every year marine life decreases 0.08% and these past years having huge numbers, with 2018 having it gone down 2%.
but this year, the marine life reports went UP around 0.03%!
UNOWA is celebrating this, but there is no time for rest! we ask all Uberians to keep doing what they can to help save marine life, and bring it back to its orignal glory! we are close to achiving a come back of all marine life in the region!
But it doesn't only have to be us! It can be other nations such as Achias and Ashwood Donner, and even Diluvia!

Isn't that just amazing! Everyone can make a difference as long they try! Maybe I'll even write my own article instead of some random response lol...
Anways, Until next time folks!

United through war, Yet standing through peace, Uberio stands in the glimmering spotlight of the dark world around them, showing those at the bottom there is a life that grants all, to all. Long Live Uberio and Allies.

I have decided to switch nations for greater RP freedom.

Erm, I just legalized polygamy, and also you can marry anything now... :nerd:

I've legalised Polygamy for ages, it's frowned upon in many places but it is still legal.
Mainly because I need people to actually need Corsiantians settle my Arctic territories and my Colonies.

Same, and for the same reason. I need more population in my Oceania territory.

My population doesn't necessarily care about marriage, love is love, of course there are some limits such as child marriages and forced marriages, as stated in our UDP if i remember correctly. It's been a small issue for a bit, and so we answered, so I mean, More people in Siberia I guess.

We do not permit polygamy within our borders, as it goes against the teachings of the Deus Mechanicus, or the Machine Spirit. However, we do not discriminate against those who do practice it, as love and marriage is a minor area of concern of our culture.

ooc: apologies for not being as active recently, its my last semester of finals ever before I graduate Uni!

Polygamy is also frowned upon in Diluvia. And by frowned upon, it means that you'll probably get dragged down to the streets and beaten up if your neighbors ever find out. That explains why we have a smaller population than actual Brazil (well, that and the inexistence of favelas in Diluvia, as irregular constructions are illegal)

That’s cool, Do you want to be a teacher?

Achias wrote:That’s cool, Do you want to be a teacher?

That’s the plan yes! Eventually I want to get my masters and doctorate so I can become a tenured professor, but that’s years off

I hope you achieve your dream. 😊

Can't tell you were I live exactly (it's very specific) but I'm doing A levels (the same as a high school diploma, it's just I don't live in the USA) and might be going to Uni in the future but that's well over a year away at least.

I'm doing History as well, in fact I've got my second history exam tomorrow.
So I will be quiet busy for the next two weeks so I guess the world cup might be a bit delayed.

Today in Corsiantia.
A vicious storm and a tragedy, the worst weather the nation has seen in decades has hit the country bringing significant rain and 70mph high winds with 600mm falling in just a week.

The Great Lakes Huron and Superior have had a large influx of water due to the sheer amount of rain and rough waters has caused them to flood low lying towns and Cities along the lakes and rivers that feed into it.
Which has decimated many local communities.

Most notably the capital of Corsiantia, Heliopolis and Thunder Bay (The Capital of Kanadario Province)and Milwaukee (The Capital of Wisconsin Province) who have experienced minor flooding.

The National Emergency Response Control has stated that residents must evacuate or begin putting up re-enforcements to prevent the on coming influx of water predicted to come downstream to the St Lawrence river due to the predicted amounts of water.

As Toronto, Montreal and Québec City coastal or riverside communities are predicted to be hit in soon as the water moves downstream.

At least 128 people have been confirmed dead and 36 missing and many more people with injuries.

During this untimely event 67 people died in a tourism boat disaster at the world famous Niagara Falls.

While on a routine voyage across from one side of the Niagara river to the other to visit Navy Island (a memorial site to the Corsiantian and the old US Navy fleet) , the Buffalo Ferry had hit an underwater rock which damaged the engine causing it to lose power.

The old Anchor was ripped from its chain causing the boat to drift down the river as a significant speed.
Due to the rapids of the river, and rough weather, from the lakes came down into the Niagara river and the boat was unable to escape or launch lifeboats eventually going over the edge and plummeting down the falls.

Only 23 people were able to be rescued by two military helicopters in the area before the ship went over the falls killing all 67 people on board.
Many Reformed Nebuchadnezzar, Achias and Tubrita tourists died while on a vacation to Corsiantia in the accident and who's bodies were could not he recovered.

In Heliopolis, the riverside promenades, roads, buildings and train stations were flooded with many cars and people unfortunately swept to sea and the large Marie Station was completely flooded which killed 23 people who were trapped in the station and unable to leave.

The flooding has also let to the Milwaukee and Heliopolis stadiums being damaged in the floods.
The Head of the Corisantian Football Association has announced that the World Cup shall be officially delayed till the stadiums have been repaired.

The Supreme Admiralty has stated that a 2 minute silence shall be held at the finals to remember those who have died in these tragic events.
