The Frosthaven Medical Institute, the first medical school in Arctic (and probably anywhere) to provide instruction exclusively by correspondence, has begun accepting applications to its inaugural class. Whether FMI's degrees will ever be recognised by any Arctic medical regulator and become worth the paper they're printed on remains to be seen. So far, the preliminary response from the Frost Bight Island Board of Health & Hygiene has been "soft maybe".

Looks like it's gonna be Nuclear Weekend again. Shall we band together an Arctic faction or join larger ones?

I think we should join a larger one like the Carbs of the Apocalypse, they won last time.

In other years we have all done our own thing, although if anyone wants to start an Arctic faction I'm sure a few will join, I must say I never played it previously

Me either, cuz I haven’t joined NS until this july. But i think im fine with both choices

I made a faction called 'Polar' in case anyone wants to join. If not or if you'd rather join a larger team then that's good as well.

I've also posted to the Antarctica regional message board, maybe someone from there is looking for a place to join.

It is now the 40th largest N-day faction with nations from 10+ regions. And for whatever reason I've become our WA delegate.

I found it very hard to destroy even one country in this nuclear war (?) I have about 12 satellite states which concentrated their nukes on The Office of The Minotaurs, but nothing happened. All my states didn't even cause 1% of radiation in that country

(i hope using satellite states does not count as cheating in N-day — I’ve checked the dispatch about the rules but it doesn’t mention that, so im not sure

Yeah it's not cheating, you're fine.

Our first venture into N. Day I thought was a success it brought us activity and publicity for the Region thanks Maas for organizing it.

Myself N Day didn't start untill 10pm I stayed up untill 11.30 making shields and nukes then in the morning I was destroyed I don't think you can win against the big factions

I look forward to the Zombie Apocalypse we always seem to do better at that and usually end up on the leader board.

I found some of the 'controls' hard to figure out and I think you need to log out of the faction when your not around then rejoin when your back to stop them hitting you when your. not there

Yea that's the best way to protect your nation and points for the faction. You should only be in the faction if you are actively fighting for it. You can also hide in mega-factions and let your production get huge, then leave to the faction you want to get points for. The big faction will protect you until you're ready to make the switch. You just have to hope no one target-locks you in the home region before you can switch back.
