Isn't the Roman numeral for 1000 M? I always thought the K was just a lazy way of saying it because it's using the metric system and Roman numerals - K is for Kilo, Kilo = 1000. The I for Islands also isn't Latin... You got 1 out of 3 though, which in baseball would send you to the hall of fame.
