Do people exist to be loved? Do objects exist to be used? Do people get used? Are objects loved?

The People’s Liberation Army is aiming to become the dominant force in the Asia-Pacific, strengthening China’s hand toward Taiwan and international disputes in the South China Sea.

I'm ancient, bruh. My family blew the whole scene in the 60's when the heat got drastic and we spent 40+ years in Latin America. We were from Detroit before we split but I had to comment because my dad had friends from Chicago stay at our house when we lived in Mexico City and I remember this one guy had a signed copy of a book of poems by Langston Hughes that he forgot at our house when he split. He said he was from Woodlawn in South Chi. Dude taught me how to play chess and how to study history: gave me the autobiography of Malcolm X to read when I was 11 years old. Got me interested in languages and politics. But the most awesome thing was he would talk for hours all about the difficulties of the black people of different Chicago neighborhoods and groups such as El Rukn with the same sympathy and solidarity he used when discussing the horrors endured by people in Vietnam, or Palestine, or the plight of poor or indigenous peoples anywhere. He made me see what an internationalist was. He turned me on to Woody Guthrie. It was the 60's, I was a kid, and the guy was solid adult backup telling the truth in a freaked-out world. Never forget him.

Appreciate that! What a huge and important story. Tell more!
Mother to Son by Langston Hughes still gives me the chills everytime.
I picked up the book: Caste by Isabel Wilkerson. Caste means a lot more than race. This is an old house, a house we did not build, and it needs to be fixed.
-your not alone. we are all ancient here.

Respect and thanx. Reading Amiri Baraka and Yusef Komunyakaa for poetry past 5-6 days. If poetry is escapism, I need more of it. Peace always.
