Welcome! Although activity is at best infrequent, there however remains great potential to provoke & ideally cultivate evocative discussion material. There is definitely no shortage of issues impacting the world today. The arrival of COVID-19 has made matters worse in regions riddled with volatility; the Middle East stands as a pristine case-in-point. Considering the pandemic is truly global in scale, it is safe to assume there are plenty of people out there with an abundance of free time. I would argue the region was founded on the pursuit of a common idealism. Each nation contributes its own interpretation to affairs surrounding the Arab League, real or imagined, which provokes shared discourse. The most fruitful result should lead to an abundance of cultural wealth through shared discourse. Yet, the million dollar question is as subtle as it is simple: where to begin?
United Gulf Emirates, Mutazilia, and Israstin
We are the kingdom of Al hasn al'iishraf
Thank you for Our admission to the Arab League.
I express my happiness in person,
and the Hassani people extend their thanks and always wish you success and progress
King Alsherif: Hani al-Hassani
Why is Israel here?
Isn't it a shame we have to accept this?
Why don't you just fire her?
I will never accept Israel.
Just kick her out
King AlSharif: Hani al-Hasani
The last time I checked, there was a sizeable demographic of Israeli-Arabs that enjoy representation in the Knesset. Israeli-Arabs represent 20.95% of Israel's national population. The possibility of a merger state between Israel & Palestine should be explored now more than ever while working to internationalize Jerusalem for each monotheistic religion. Modern problems cannot be solved with solutions locked stagnant histories. To some, such posturing is considered traitorous. This fails to acknowledge that most of the Arab world was shaped directly out of the legacy of divide & conquer post European colonial rule. Could such a merger state acquire membership in the Arab League? Would such a drastic shift in Middle Eastern geo-political affairs deliver a long term peace to the region?
I’d also add, a federation of Palestine including Jewish and Palestinian Arab provinces was proposed in the original committee on partition during 1947. It was supported by India, Yugoslavia, and Iran, but the western nations on the committee voted for partition. The partition led to the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians from their lands, which would have been avoided had a one state solution been employed to the conflict and the homeland of the Palestinians partitioned. In this Federation, Palestinians are not restricted to the West Bank and Gaza, and enjoy free movement from Jerusalem to Jaffa, Hebron to Haifa.
This region does not appear to be terribly active.
Yeah it's rather dull here.
