Greetings! As you know, we are currently 124 days into the secretary-ship of [nation][/nation]. You know what that means! Election time! The Secretary of Oversight and Defense elected by an exhaustive ballot. In the first round, lasting 3 days, anybody can win! In the next, also 3 days long, only nations earning 1% or higher will appear on the ballot. In the next round, 2% or higher. Then 5%, then 10%, 25%, then 33.3…%, then the top two. The first nation to surpass 50% in any round wins, meaning the election might take anywhere from 3 to 24 days. To qualify for the ballot, either be the incumbent, send a letter announcing your candidacy to The united defaults via telegram, or announce it on the Message Board. A nation may only run for one position at a time. Each position serves 6-month or 168-day terms and may serve up to 2 total. Letters of recommendation will be recognized for the 20 days preceding the election. Be sure to vote in the poll posted by The united defaults, any other polls are invalid. Good luck!

Hey doods. I'm the founder, and Union of pepe and Daddy jopp are my friends in real life. I didn't want to make an oligarchy so we are holding the first elections for Secretary of Oversight and the Secretary of Defense. As per my first post, telegram me or announce in the RMB your candidacy for either position. Announcements for candidacy are being held till Nov 13th. Then we'll hold the first democratic elections in the region!

I officially announce my candidacy for Secretary of Defense. I would make a good Defense Secretary because I am not a corrupt person. I will not abuse my power as Defense Secretary by banning political opponents. I promise to keep a watchful eye on raiders and trolls.

Good evening everybody! Just finished addressing issues for the day and sent another 16 recruitment TGs to filler regions. I sincerely thank you for your commitment to the region and your patience with me for the tweaks. After all, this is only the 3rd day of this region's existence. My sincere thanks to Union of pepe, Daddy jopp, Evedalai, and New germanic reich. Expect more members, and slight changes here and there. I changed how you get on the ballot and added Secretary of Defense as an elected office. Now you just announce it like in the United States. (Still 19 days to do so and don't wanna run unopposed) This is The United Defaults, signing off for tonight.
