The end of the Dohr Ashlands was a total end to public order and stability. It was an end to the ability of the Ashlands to act as a unified entity and to protect itself from foreign powers. It was also an end to the government stopping Ashlanders from using dangerous weaponry upon each other. Foreign import weapons usually had a good taste for being violent. The only problem is that they weren't cheap. Foreign military equipment is heavily overpriced for their actual value or are just stupidly expensive and fortified. In the universe sits a thousand mining planets who could transport their resources to their colonial overlords within seconds for pennies and yet the cost of an infantry weapon is as high as it was during the era of information, not even including ammunition required for a gun. That being said warlords could still import copious amounts of foreign material for import then manufacture weaponry in the Dohr Ashlands. In limited cases some military components could be manufactured abroad outright. This as well as stolen military equipment meant that ordinary terrorists and militas had access to plasma weaponry, anti-matter weaponry, heavy railguns, tactical nukes, all the things one wouldn't want terrorists to gain a hold off lest they destroy a city.
A city many did destroy.

A minor nuclear strike upon an industrial district in Elinryoa caused the city to wage war with neighboring Idirefrore, causing massive devastation within the region. The suburbs that connected the two cities were reduced to ruins and rubble in an instant while nuclear mortars flattened buildings, soldiers, and innocents alike without discrepancy.

When Elisvaris fought back against the shielded forces they used Starlight Annihilators against the soil. Acres upon acres of grassland was set ablaze in nuclear fire. Work form the magical "Empire" private military company only barely contained the devastation and evacuated civilians. Their large town remained a sovereign one, but at what cost? Many villagers and farmers had to be evacuated from the flames. Those who were there at the scene heard the screams of those who could not be saved in their sleep.

Those of the South Eastern Triangle chose to wage a bloody war to liberate themselves from the strict economic and cultural control that Coroupince held over their settlements. Border villages were forcefully converted to an anti-southern ideology. Those who resisted either had to falsely submit or be shoot in firing lines. Coroupince responded by unleashing toxic gas upon enemy forces that stung the eyes and burned the skin.

Kaostraria chose to conquer all of the West as so happens to be the pipe dream of the militaristic city. Of course, no city or settlement wanted to submit to Kaostaraj military rule and oppression, leading to brutal fighting with trenches dug and mass charges made. Both sides ended up using chemical weapons and increasingly creating more devastating versions to compete with the power of gas masks. The battle reached its height with the skin scarred grey and lifeless and men melting along with their armor.

Forces at Elenaitarona in order to gain an advantage in combat against their neighbors violently cybernetically enhanced the power of their people using dangerous and untested nano machines many went berserk and others just simply unchecked. Forces from the war of Kaostraria vs everything had to be diverted when cybernetic warriors were jumping behind village guards and gutting them to pieces using cybernetic combat powers and the ability to perceive time slower.

Perhaps it is a blessing to be out like the Ancaps. To have a once powerful civilization be gone in a minute and to think that everything is fine. Only a handful of survivors had to endure the violent and slaughtering pain of slowly and slowly collapsing, inching towards total annihilation. All it was over in flash for them. Ashlanders now have to seem time and time again their proud country reduced to nothing but fading memory, doomed to be nothing more than what a textbook tells a civilization not to do.
