Here, 25 centuries ago, on the island of Samos, and in the other Greek colonies which had grown up in the busy Aegean sea, there was a glorius awakening. Suddenly there were people who believed that everything was made of atoms, that human beings and other animals had evolved from simpler forms, that diseases were not caused by demons or the gods; that the Earth was only a planet going around a sun which was very far away. This revolution made cosmos out of chaos. Here, in the 6th Century BC, a new idea developed, one of the great ideas of the human species. It was argued that the universe was knowable. Why? Because it was ordered. Because there are regularities in Nature which permit its secrets to be uncovered. Nature was not entirely unpredictable. There were rules which even she had to obey. This ordered and admirable character of the universe was called cosmos, and it was set in stark contradiction to the idea of chaos. This was the first conflict of which we know between science and mysticism, between nature and the gods.

Here is the developing structure of the ERE Alliance Military:
In response to recent Black Raider attackers, I have developed a military structure to protect and defend the ERE Alliance Regions.
There will be an Alliance Military Council comprised of the following offices:
Minister of War for the ERE Alliance: The Imperial Republic of Parinis
Second in Command (Alliance Field Marshall): Position is Open
Head of Recruitment: Position is Open
Head of Espionage: Position is Open
Regional Marshalls: Depends on my chosen appointment of a Regional Army commander in an individual region.
More offices may be added over time, but this what is currently necessary. If you wish to apply for any of these positions, the qualifications and job descriptions can be found at the Alliance Forum here: http://01ere.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=general&thread=1224&page
Under the Council's supervision will be Regional Marshalls commanding a regional army:
The Regional Marshall can appoint subordinates, including, but not limited to, Second in Command, Recruitment Officer, and Espionage Officer. The Recruitment Officer and Espionage Officer will report to their respective Alliance Military Council department heads. Regional Marshalls will report to the Council any military activity.
With this new structure, we hope that it will be easier to defend the regions of this alliance. Defend your region and all that is held dear!
