The United States as a whole is still one of the most anti-censorship countries on Earth. That a couple of states have decided to be @$$#°£€$ about this stuff (often with hilarious backfire) is not a reason to paint the entire country as some sort of censorial nightmare.

Because even like 70 years ago, censorship was rampant in the US, UK, France, West Germany, etc., etc.

Finally legalized divorce, feeling great. Now the mental health industry has less strain.

It’s definitely gonna end well.

Thank you all to the amazing stay I had in this region! Well…at least nothing bad happened. All I could say is that this region is somewhat inactive for its size and it has a lot of RP posts.
Goodbye.

Cya. And remember, my human rights record is perfectly clean.

As a quick note, to add to what Nalver And said, you also have to be in the World Assembly before you can give or receive endorsements.

I mean, he was clearly guilty. We have the tapes, the documents, the sworn testimony. Even his own party was unable to conscience his behavior and had signed on for the articles of impeachment. That's specifically why he chose to resign; if he had stayed on, he was 100% going to be impeached, and they simply did not have the votes to shield him from a conviction. He would have been the first (and, even now, the only) president to be removed from office by impeachment and conviction.

He was clearly guilty of the political acts of which he was accused.

I have, however, recently been reading more about his non-criminal actions, policies, and beliefs. The man was quite intelligent, and remarkably prescient on the subject of future international relations (especially WRT Russia and China). He was fairly pragmatic for a conservative, having signed the EPA into law with bipartisan support. And he was patient and methodical, something politicians of all stripes today tend to be lacking in.

He was not a good man. I would even potentially grant that he was a fairly bad man. But he was a competent and skillful leader, and if he had just avoided doing those malfeasant things, I genuinely believe he would be remembered as a great president. Choosing not to do such terrible things wouldn't have made him a good person (all signs point to him being somewhat racist and at least casually anti-semitic, for instance), but his skill as a statesman was undeniable.

It sucks that any good he did is vastly overshadowed by the permanent scars he left on the American people and the possibly permanent tarnish he put on the American government.
