The president Papatsis administration issued orders to the KERPTA PMC (Malarsia's de-facto military) to crack down more harshly on bandit elements operating in the Resedland bayou, fearing spillover from the Palanche civil war. In the fracas that followed, KERPTA was forced to triple the number of troops in the area as dangerous criminal elements attacked police officials with automatic weapons. Four high ranking KERPTA members were killed in the fracas, as a lone gunman is said to have caused considerable damage to KERPTA operations before escaping. The police have issued a warning to the public in and close to the Resedland bayou, as well as an encouragement to report any suspicious activity in the area.

The Saral Lumber Company announced earlier today that they would continue logging plans in the Resedland bayou despite the chaos.

PNF Military and Government officials killed, gunmen still at large

Late last night, the Mortain Manor, former summer home of the old royal family, was raided during an official meeting between government and military officials. The attackers managed to wipe out the entire force of men guarding the exterior of the building. The attackers blew the back door open with explosives and made their way into the building, killing everyone in their path. They finally got to the doors leading into the meeting room, and blasted it open with a shotgun. The men swiftly executed anybody that put up any resistance, and subdued several officials, many of whom were involved in the battle of Eumers and the massacre at Eretun.

Afterward, the squad swiftly carried the unconscious officials outside, and loaded them into military trucks that are believed to have been parked there shortly before the assault.
The identities of the men are currently unknown, though government officials are claiming that they may have a lead.

Foreign Underdog Claims The Title

KIT Special Edition

The 2062 GASCAR season is over, and we have another foreigner who lifted the GASCAR World Cup at the end of the season; but who? Was it Vasili Alesnaro again, or someone else? Keep reading to find out.

Bach Stumbles, Takes Team With
In keeping with his checkers or wreckers trend, Bach won the 2061 championship, only to flounder this season. He placed good, but only won the Baytona 500 at the start of the season. He wasn't even able to win at Gallediga, historically his best track, breaking his seven year long win streak at the Termatt Inc 500.

Bach said in an interview that this season was a "transitional" season, as his team tries to get Lagan Parkle up to speed (pun absolutely intended). Bach signed on Parkle at the end of 2060, but a horrific looking wreck at the 2061 Baytona 500 left Parkle out for the season, marking 2062 as his first full-time season under Bach Racing.

Despite this, Bach was still able to sneak out a third place standing in the points at season's end.

Foreign Underdog Claims The Title
In this era of million dollar teams competing across the world in high tech equipment, it's rare for startups to succeed. But that's just what happened, as this brother-sister duo from the north was able to claim their nation's first title in GASCAR. But who?

Adrian and Maria Martinescu from Zambet Fata always wanted to compete in the big leagues. Zambet Fata is well known in racing circles for its unique tank racing, which is exactly what it sounds like, and it was here that Adrian and Maria first got a taste of racing. But tanks are slow, painfully so when compared with GASCAR stock cars; the fastest a tank could possibly go is 70 mph, compared to a GASCAR stock car's nearly 200 mph.

But still, locally sanctioned tank races provide valuable experience to two teenagers looking to race; on the track Adrian couldn't be beat, and under the hood there was no one better than Maria. The two got enough money from these races that they bought a GASCAR stock car and raced in the 2061 Dakono 400 in Zambet Fata, the only GASCAR race in Stelin, and placed 20th. Not bad for their first race, but the two wanted to go further then just Dakono. So, they secured a sponsorship from Mander Sandwiches, and got into the 2062 season, where they lit up the track, winning six races!

Martinescu leading under the lights of the Glensville Speedway Along The Coast

But it was by no means easy for them; it may have been an off season for Bach, but this is Bach we're talking about, an off season for him is still a good (if not great) season for any other driver. Alesnaro was hot on the two's tail, and Joey Degne had a surprising good season.

Nevertheless, the pair were able to weather the storm, and hoisted the world cup at season's end at Glensville, giving Zambet Fata their first GASCAR champion.

2062 Points Standings
1. Adrian Martinescu (ZFA) - Kistler
2. Vasili Alesnaro (SOZ) - Huick
3. Alex Bach (ALA) - Cehve
4. Joey Degne (ALA) - Cehve
5. Stefan Amanar (ZFA) - Kistler
6. Dernov Larion (SOZ) - Huick
7. Laurentiu Oprea (ZFA) - Kistler
8. Lagan Parkle (ALA) - Cehve
9. Isaac García (SFS) - Huick
10. Gagarin Vityanilo (LAP) - Huick

Intrepid and Konvoline: A Match Made In Heaven
On top of Adrian and Maria's championship, Stefan Amanar, a fellow Zambet Fatan, was also hitting his marks this season. Another Zambet Fatan driver, Laurentiu Oprea, also did surprising well. They all drove the Kistler Intrepid, fueled by Zambet Fata's new Konvoline.

Make no mistake, the Zambet Fatan government and Zambet Fatan companies have been pushing both, but specifically Konvoline, to the worldwide market. The Zambet Fatan government even gave grants to race teams running Konvoline, helping them with finances.

It might be easy a person to say then that the only reason a Intrepid powered by Konvoline won was because of money, but bearing in mind how Adrian and Maria went from poor dirt track racers to being able to race in the big leagues, it seems the grants were more geared towards helping teams get off the ground rather than helping them on the track.

It remains to be seen how Huick and Cehve, or for that matter other companies in GASCAR, will respond to Kistler's victory.

Blowouts and Blood
In the backdrop of the brother and sister victory, were tire blowouts. A blowout is when a racecar's tire, for lack of a better word, "explodes" from overuse, sending debris everywhere and throwing the car into a spin. Teams prevent this by pitting and changing the tires, but it seems like this year there were more and more blowouts and wrecks caused by them. Tire blowouts are just about the worse accident a racer can have, since it usually sends the car headfirst into the wall, resulting in injury.

Greatday Tire and Rubber, the company that supplies every race team in GASCAR, recently switched to a cheaper compound to cut costs. The cheaper compound might work as good as the previous one on the highway, but not on the speedway. Racers complained about the tires "going flat" quicker, having less grip, and all around less handling.

Greatday hasn't responded to these concerns, and plans to use the same compound for next year's season. It remains to be seen if another company will step in and challenge Greatday.

GASCAR Expands Once Again
Remember how earlier we said how Dakono was the only race track in Stelin? That's about to change. CEO of GASCAR, William Falkenberg, made a deal with the Germanian government to allow him to build another speedway for GASCAR.

Falkenberg has really wanted to tap into the Stelin racing scene since GASCAR went global, and by building a track in Germania, he hopes to bring a whole other audience to the sport. No designs yet have been released to the public, as it is still in the planning stage.

Manufacturers Champion
Huick had a good season, but didn't get enough drivers into the top five to qualify for the Manufacturer Championship. Kistler did, but tied with Cehve. To break the tie, the manufacturer with the greatest number of wins in the top five in the season would win, which was Kistler with 7, compared to Cehve who had no wins in the top five.

1. Adrian Martinescu (ZFA) - Kistler
2. Vasili Alesnaro (SOZ) - Huick
3. Alex Bach (ALA) - Cehve
4. Joey Degne (ALA) - Cehve
5. Stefan Amanar (ZFA) - Kistler

The Champalan Champion
Azaltan was the perfect democracy: low levels of corruption, a navy to protect it's sea trade, and a government that despite some rocky periods, had always respected the rule of law and peacefully transitioned to the next fellow in power. That was until political strongman Stanton Kor decided to gut the navy in order to diversify the economy to be as close to autarky as possible. The Navy, being the only real line of defense against foreign powers, had their protests fall upon deaf ears. It came as a shock too. As the only president from the NUP's Castle Faction, Kor often spoke of the importance of strong spending on the navy, but apparently even he considered what was being spent rather excessive.

As such, aboard the ANV Hart (named after a husband and wife duo of Azaltanian Presidents), which is the heaviest ship in the Azaltanian fleet; those of the Naval High Command not entrapped within the Admiralty Building met to plan their next moves in this game of chess they'd engaged in with Kor. The elected head of the "New Admiralty" is Admiral Ana Tevka, the child of foreign immigrants. She, and she alone decided the next move to make on the board. The move she made went down as the probably the most controversial event that defined the future. Admiral Tevka sent the Naval Infantry to break the siege of the Admiralty Building. The Naval Infantry, despite being smaller in number to the Azaltanian Army, fall completely under the navy and therefore share in the navy's good fortune and draining of money, making them a lot more highly trained and teched than the average Azaltanian Infantrymen.

What happened was a small skirmish with National Policemen that resulted in the siege being broken. We have no confirmed deaths so far, but that didn't really matter. Kor, the centralist in him rising, immediately declared these deaths murder. While not really within his power to do so, the news media and outlets have started churning out many different stories of what actually went down outside the Admiralty, but it appears that no one has any intention of standing down.

Kor officially activated the Azaltanian Army, and again plans to besiege the Admiralty building, which is now complete with a small compliment of Naval Infantry. The Azaltanian Maximists and Social Revolutionaries, who's paramilitary units were absorbed into the National Police, now watch quite eagerly on the sidelines as they each watch as a government they quite legitimately don't care for (but do respect) appears to be on a road to destroying itself.

1. Don't know if it counts as a stadium, but the largest sporting area in Alaback is the Baytona International Speedway. It can seat 257,000 people. It's the world's largest sporting area by sheer size, the whole complex is 3.82 sq mi, so big it can be sunny on one side and stormy on the other, with the track itself being 2.5 miles long. The amount of steel used to build it in 1957 = 15% of Alaback's steel output for that year. It hosts the most prestigious race in the world, the Baytona 500.
2. Stock car racing, and just racing in general.

Well, it would appear as though we tied for Economic Adviser, so we'll set that one aside for now and revote after the rest are completed.

Nominations are now open for Education Adviser, Welfare Adviser, and Health Adviser for the next 48 hours.

Same rules as last time, to submit a nominee, simply respond to this post with your choice.

If no nominations are submitted, no election for that Adviser will take place.

Remembrance Stadium in Pine Tree City, with a seating capacity of 105,458. It's the home football field of the University of North Nebraska Cornhuskers. Back in 1923, a railroad was built from the stadium to Whiterock Field, which belongs to the University of South Nebraska Settlers to transport fans back and forth; the Cornhuskers and Settlers have one of the most intense rivalries of any two colleges on Tierra.
2. American Football, specifically on the college level. Sports like rodeo, racing, baseball, and clay pigeon shooting are popular too.

1. Dortella Stadium in Callumin, home to Conmerica's most popular baseball team, the Brawlers. In its current state, it is capable of hosting about 87,500~ people.

2. Baseball has been quite popular for the past few decades, as has (American) football- err, Smashball, but not quite as much as the former. Horse racing has also been quite popular since the post-WW2 era, but one sport stands above the rest, Markingmen has been the most popular sport in Conmerica ever since before the nation's founding, and still is to this very day. The sport involves shooting distant targets from horseback whilst riding in the most dangerous of terrains and conditions, from riding down steep rocky mountains, to even leaping across the nations' largest canyons with terrible storms thundering in the background; all whilst being shot at with pellet guns from afar. The victor is usually rewarded with a large amount of money, and gets to keep the horse they rode during the entire thing. If the horse somehow tragically dies during the riding, then the rider is to be disqualified.

AORAKI NEWS

The Dako Incident has long been a contentious event for skeptics and believers in extraterrestrial life. While many believe it to a rumor spread by conspiracy theorists in their endless quest to give their speculations merit, others believe it to be just another example of proof of government cover-up and conspiracy. However, in a surprise press conference, the Head of the Anthacian KPT, Adelbert Heidrick, Director Raul Andrescu of the ZFFP, and Chief Emma Simpson of the Calcaterrican FIA, have met in Aoraki City and issued a joint statement and declassification of what really took place in the town of Dako, Calcaterra in 2025.

“Many have speculated that certain nations had come into the possession of extraterrestrial technology after an incident in the town of Dako back in the ‘20s. However in reality the events were much less glamorous. During a joint training exercise between the International Union and the NSP, assets involved in the training suffered several setbacks and malfunctions. Immediately following this event, several unidentified unknown enemy combatants engaged the joint force. The force was unable to fight at full capacity due to being debilitated by the unknown phenomenon. After the incident, all three nations had been motivated to further advancements in military technology in response to the phenomenon experienced before engaging with the unknown combatants. While we cannot one-hundred percent confirm the identity of the enemy combatants, due to Dako's position close to the Southern Pole of Tierra, as well as the combatants' lack of any markings, we can assume that it was most likely a terrorist attack by Grey Hand."

Following this statement, all three individuals were escorted out by security despite the press attempting further questioning. No other government officials from Anthacia, Zambet Fata, nor Calcaterra have commented on the matter.

1. It depends, the largest sports venue in Zambet Fata is the Dakono International Raceway at 106,812 capacity. The largest traditional stadium is Traja Park, an eight decker stadium with 98,070 seats used for track and field, soccer, wallball, archery, and some motorsports.
2. Hard to say for sure, but panzerfahren, tank racing and wallball are up there.

Nationale Deluta - National Spirit
National Rebirth? New Party, Familiar Names Take Office

Zambets are tired. Not since the days of President Kurj Ozmra have they ever truly felt like they could say, with pride, that their nation was one they could be proud of. Sure, some backed the Regina, others Jatrea Najenksco, but not since Ozmra left office was the nation fully united, filled with pride, and safe and secure.

And they might not be wrong in that assertion, after all, since Ozmra left office we've seen a president impeached on corrupt charges, another one turn dictator and have to be forcefully removed, a failed attempt to bring back the monarchy, and in general we saw politics, the economy, and our culture grow stale since Ozmra left.

It might then come as no surprise that a new party, much like Zambet Fata's national animal, arose from these ashes, appropriately called the Phoenix Party. Calling for a national rebirthing, a concept in Zambet Fatan culture where one era ends and a new one begins, the party exploded in popularity. And who else would lead it besides the man himself, Kurj Ozmr-!

No, Kurj Ozmra isn't the head of the Phoenix Party, nor is he affiliated with it, the man is in his eighties remember. No, instead his grandchildren are heads of the party, And yes we said grandchildren, not grandchild. Children of Florin Cosmin Ozmra, Kurj's one and only child, each took up positions of power within the party. All three of them, Lumina, Sim, and Crina, we feel, are interesting enough on their own, so we'll talk about each.

Lumina, Florin's first child, is definitely a bit of a hot head, perhaps inherited from her grandfather's time in the military and dealing with rough nations. But she is definitely not all anger, she is a very charming woman, easily the center of attention wherever she goes. Sim described her best, "Kind and considerate unless you get on her bad side, then Mother Fata help you."

Sim, Florin's second child, can best be described by one of his teachers at the Kurj Ozmra School of Diplomacy; "The man is a genius. There's no question. It's not a matter of people just feeling like he is a genius. That man is a genius. But his personality pays for that. He is very impatient, very straightforward, very cut-to-the-bone." Known for being a perfectionist and doing things his own way, Sim is a politician by trade, and his unique approach to issues has inspired countless members of the Phoneix Party to replicate his approaches, with great success. Sim is what is considered a "Kulwicki" personality-wise in Stelin culture.

Crina, Florin's third child, shares in her sister's charisma, and she is very capable at what she does but suffers from a severe lack of confidence. Still, she is quite warmhearted and has been seen confronting her contemporaries in the Zambet Fatan Ministry of Foreign Affairs about their sometimes illogical tactics. She is also a lover of nature and has an almost supernatural understanding of it, no matter where she goes.

So why are we telling you all of this? Because these three, and the Phoenix Party, are the future. No literally, in the 2062 elections they completely dominated the ballot box. Sim Ozmra isn't just Sim Ozmra, he is President Sim Ozmra. Crina Ozmra isn't just Crina Ozrma, she's Vice President Crina Ozmra. Lumina Ozmra isn't just Lumina Omzra, she's Secretary of State Lumina Omzra.

In his victory speech, Sim decided to quote his grandfather's victory speech;

"If you believe you are weak, then you are. If you don’t, then you will rise like a phoenix out of the ashes."

1. The largest stadium we have, isn't technically a stadium, it is our circuit raceway, which seats about 200,000 not a huge number because its a huge course.
2. Our primetime sport? We race powerful LAPVs, offroad, with no road to follow (expect for road flares and flags). Usually in the middle of the night in the raining or snowing. Its kind of like trophy trucks, but in the forest, under snow or sleet. ( we don't race the LAPV's or dirt roads or pavement ever.)

The Champalan Champion
Today, we print that the Champion Building and printing presses are undamaged by the conflict swirling around us, and we also are here to report that the Naval Infantry have for the time being pushed the National Police and the Army out of Champala. Units still patrol the streets and debris is being cleaned and fields of fire being cleared. Stanton Kor, at his older age, and most of the Civil Cabinet having fled the Capital at the last possible moment.

With the Capture of the Capital, Admiral Ana Tevka has declared the Provisional Government of Azaltan, with herself as the Head of Government until the conflict ends. The next advances seem to be political and propaganda values, as each respective side in the conflict seeks to secure recognition from several famous faces within the country and around the world, with political feelers secretly leaving Azaltan in droves to seek recognition for one or the other.

Some military scholars believe that the conflict is now over, as honor dictates that with the loss of a capital, that the only thing to do is surrender or face morale shock. However, many feel that if the Azaltanian Army and National Gendarme can organize themselves well enough, that they can use numbers to stand up against a much better equipped Naval Force.

The Rokedsian Herald
Revolution Gets Too Hot For Governor, New Government Forms In Aftermath To Take Up The Fight

Although race relations had died down as a result of an improved economy, they still remained. And with a recent drought hitting the Rokedsian agricultural sector, the sector that employs most minorities and low-income folk, the economy took a nosedive. In its place inflation, with the Rokedsian Dollar surging and devaluation ten-fold.

Sir Gregory Ianith, Governor of Rokedsia, and his Rokedsian Front party attempted to fix the situation by bringing in new reforms. But the drought hit during an election year, and combined with his past failings, Sir Ianith was voted out of office, or was he?

The 2063 Rokedsian General Elections saw radicals surge in popularity, particularly Wuakican Nationalist and Toraist, and sometimes Wuakican Nationalist Toraist groups taking power. The Rokedsian Election Commission (REC) found evidence of voter intimidation by the Ankraid Toraist People's Union (ATPU), Rokedsia's main Toraist party, though it's worth noting that the REC is made up of Rokedsian Front party members.

Ryan White, the leader of the Ankraid Toraist People's Union and a Rokedsian independence advocate and possible Alaback-unificationist (though this has never been proven) was all set to take power and begin negotiates with Anthacia for independence when Sir Gregory Ianith unexpectedly stepped down, and in his place Sir Danny Lawson took power. Sir Danny Lawson declared the election illegitimate, and said another one would take place. Soon after, the ATPU and Wuakican groups were banned, and their headquarters raided by the Rokedsian police. Fighting soon erupted in the streets, and the Ankraid Toraist People's Union declared a People's War against the Rokedsian government, with many Wuakican groups joining.

Another election was held, and with ATPU and Wuakican groups not participating, the Rokedisan Front won 50 out of the 66 seats available, giving them a majority and Sir Danny Lawson another term.

Sir Danny Lawson has vowed to fight and eradicate the ATPU and the rebels. In recent fighting, the highly-skilled Rokedsian military saw victories, but the insurrection has taken to the country, so the war continues.

Aoraki News

For several years, the Anthacian Parliament has been paralyzed as a result of the AKP and AUP being unable to agree on any legislation, causing electoral gridlock, which has left Anthacia unable to act domestically and in regards to foreign policy. This has caused more radical voices in the AKP to speak up within Parliament, and every day it seems as though more Anthacians are hearing their message. Believing Anthacia to be falling behind and unable to back up their allies, the R-AKP has called for a more interventionist and stalwart foreign policy, citing Sarvania’s recent Toraist revolution which resulted in the assassination of the king. MP Fredrick Kristoff, an outspoken member of the R-AKP, has gone on record stating:

“As much as the detente with the Internationale has prompted world peace across the nation, as well as our partnership in taking down the Ulutorian threat, Anthacia must never forget that we are, and always will be, a monarchy. Our refusal to help out Sarvania, and our hesitation to enter Palanche is not the behavior our allies are counting on us for. What happens if the Toraists arrive in Conmerica?”

King Edward VIII has allowed a General Election to go forward in an attempt to break the gridlock. Many believe that the unorthodox image that the R-AKP projects across the rest of the party will result in the AUP gaining a parliamentary majority for the first time in 10 years. However the future of a party who’s staple is non-intervention is undoubtably uncertain in a nation fired up for the opposite.

Champalan Champion
Stanton Kor, against all odds, has pulled off what many feel is his final and ultimate propaganda victory. Stanton Kor has resigned from the Presidency, but not before officially using Presidential Powers to name Tenrik Koth as honorary Field Marshall of the Azaltanian Armed Forces and decreed him his successor as President prior to resigning and disappearing. This at least temporarily makes Koth a military dictator, and a giant sign to the Navy that perhaps Kor hadn't been outsmarted after all. Upon this news having reached the Navy aboard the ANV Hart, all movement forward has halted, with Champala and the outskirts now being consolidated in the hands of the Navy, while the rest of the countryside and smaller cities still lie with the National Government. Despite the fact that Koth hasn't actually even made any moves to accept this new power, many Nationals have taken this time to start rolling out some of the heavier equipment that has been mothballed. Many heavy vehicles haven't seen the light of day for many years, and it's unknown how many of them will even work. However, it is believed it will give the Army a slight push against the light armor of the Naval Infantry.

Justice Broadcast
The Return

Across PNF-held Palanche, television broadcasts were interrupted, and a familiar symbol appeared on-screen with the words "HOLD" shown below. Minutes later, several masked men armed with weapons entered the shot along with seven men wearing dirtied military uniforms and sacks on their heads. After a few moments of silence, one of the men spoke: "The lives of the people from Eumers, Eretun, and countless other Palanchian citizens have been lost due to these men's reckless ignorance, and they will pay for it." The man then gestured for his men to remove the sacks off the captives' heads, revealing them to be the officials taken from the raid on Mortain Manor. Two generals, a colonel, and four senators, one of them the leader of the ruling party.

The same man from earlier spoke once again, saying: "Every man and woman who voted in favor of all those atrocities committed against their own people will meet the same fate as these men, maybe even worse, especially you, Erik Bluscha." The man then removed his mask, revealing himself to be Hallon Mesvichov, former crown-prince of Palanche, who fled to Conmerica as an infant with several loyal servants of the royal family. He spoke once more, saying: "The injustices done to the people of Palanche will not stand, these false leaders will be dealt with and Palanche will once again be lead by its rightful leaders." The gunmen then opened fire on the officials, leaving them all dead.

The National Daily
The Glorious Premier, the honourable Gunther von Flagstaff, has released a new memoir entilted Death, Dictators, and Democracy, a short personal account of his life between the ages of 30 and 35 that saw the fall of Sigismund the Unifier and the rise of the first democratically elected President in Swallonian History, followed quickly by the cold-blooded murder of the President and most of his staff that left Flagstaff and a few others alive, which followed Flagstaff's usurping of power and the brief witch-hunts for anyone who posed a threat to the new state: Royalists, Aquilists, and Toraists. These witch-hunts ended after a few years, and despite Political Parties officially being banned, people are still allowed to gather and present petitions to the Premier outside Greystone Quarter.

This memoir ends a long series of condensed historical books detailing Swallonian History from the early days of the Union of Dresden, to the reigns of Wilhelma the Beautiful and Dietrich the Terrible, to the Revolutions overthrowing the Monarchs that are in living memory of most older citizens. Swallonia has engaged very little with the outside world, preferring to dodder in isolation and put on small military parades for the aging Premier. However, Flagstaff is nearing the end of his rope, and he has yet to appoint a successor, a job he continues to brush off even as years of absolutism sap away at his health and strength.
