I have been experimenting with sidebars so I could create Wikipedia looking elections and such. Very difficult. And obviously not mobile supported
I spent like 4 hours coding the stupid Wikipedia-style war sidebar for my things, and the thing I'm most proud of, for whatever reason, are the stupid tiny flags that i made in like 30 minutes...
I dread to check how bad that sidebar looks on mobile.
Fun fact:
If you use multiple [background-block]s and you want them to be connected, don't use a line break (in between the [background-block] and the [/background-block])
Because then it will break apart the colourful blocks. Instead, use the same [color] to make some text invisible to fake a line break.
I did not spend 4 hours figuring that out because my colourful blocks kept breaking.

Nevermind, i just did the exact thing that didn't work for 4 hours in another factbook. i am actually going to lose my mind.
Ah that old trick. I remember using it for my Russian Federation and FUMER RP
In a effort to procasinate more on my wiki boxes (because I forgot I have to make a map for my road systems), I shall write about a Gate like senario
I, too, am currently partaking in the fun activity of procrastinating on Wiki boxes and writing about other stuff.
Lol cool

I don't know where to put this yet, but i just untangled the absolute mess that is the power structure in the UCSR:
Following things are relevant:
Premier (Leader of the UCSR, head of the Presidium, head of state)
Presidium of the Union (collective Head of State)
All-Union Soviet of Peoples Deputies (lower House)
All-Union Soviet of the Republics (Upper House)
National Council of the Lejine-Bloc (Communist Multi-party organisation)
Peoples President (Head of the upper House, ceremonial head of state nationally)
Union President (Head of the Lower House, ceremonial head of state internationally)
Head of the Council of Ministers (Head of Government)
Council of Ministers (Government Cabinet)
Who appoints who:
Elections appoint All-Union Soviet of Peoples Deputies
"Lesser Soviets" (i.e. Local Soviet to District Soviet to Communal Soviet to Republic Soviet) appoint All-Union Soviet of the Republics
All-Union Soviet of Peoples Deputies appoints Union President
All-Union Soviet of the Republics appoints People's President
National Council of the Lejine Bloc appoints Presidium (de-facto), Presidents suggest Presidium and parliament appoints (de-jure)
Presidium appoints Premier
Premier appoints Head of Council of Minister
Head of Council of Ministers appoints Ministers
In terms of power:
De-jure:
Head of Council of Ministers > Council of Ministers > Premier > Presidium > Presidents > All-Union Soviets > National Council of the Lejine-Bloc
De-facto:
Premier > National Council of the Lejine-Bloc > Presidium > Head of Council of Ministers > Council of Ministers > Presidents > All-Union Soviets
Wow, how simple and easy to comprehend!
Now let us talk about the UCSR's 31 (technically 35) ministries and 12 independent agencies represented on the Council of Ministers...
You dare challenge me in ministries and agencies?!
This but Ivorica:
President (Leader and Head of State of Ivorica)
Vice President (President's Personal Advisor, Second in Command, and Tie Breaker in the Ivorican Senate)
Prime Minister (Head of Government and Organizer of the Federal Legislation of Ivorica)
Chancellors of the Supreme Court (collective head of Ivorica's Supreme Court)
House of Representatives (Lower House)
House of Representative Speaker / Supreme Speaker / Speaker of House (Head of House of Represenatives)
Majority Party Leader (Spokesman of a Party if more than 50% seats are held by a single party)
Minority Party Leader (Spokesman of several Parties if combined party fails to exceed 50% seat held against a single party)
Senate (Upper House)
Pro Tempure (Head of Senate)
Pro Government Director (Head of Pro Government Coalition)
Opposition Government Director (Head of Opposition of Government)
Majority Party Leader (Spokesman of a Party if more than 50% seats are held by a single party)
Minority Party Leader (Spokesman of several Parties if combined party fails to exceed 50% seat held against a single party)
Electoral College (Electoral body that elects the Prime Minister)
Appointment:
President elected by the people by achieving over 50% of the popular vote, if not achieved, a second run-off election will be held between the two highest voted candidate. If both candidates achieve an even 50-50, vote shall be held by the electoral college, if the electoral college is split evenly, vote shall be held by the House of Represenatives. If deadlock occurs, the Prime Minister shall appoint the President.
Vice President appointed as the running mate by the party or may be appointed by a political alliance
Prime Minister elected by the electoral college
Chancellors of the Supreme Court elected by the Judicial Electoral Court which consists of all federal judges.
The House of Representatives elected on a 50-50 system. Half of Represenatives elected by a national popular vote for party. Other half elected by a statewide vote based on how many Represenatives come from a particular state.
Senate elected mainly by a national popular vote on a party, with 1 Senator elected by the people of the state
Speaker of House elected by the House
Pro Tempure elected by the Senate
Pro Government Director elected by Pro Government parties and Senators
Opposition Government Director elected by opposition government parties and Senators
Electoral College appointed by the State Legislature
Power Structure
De Jure: Prime Minister > Senate > House of Represenatives > Chancellors > President > Supreme Speaker > Pro Tempure > People
De Facto: President > Vice President > Prime Minister > People > Senate > House of Represenatives > Supreme Speaker > Chancellors > Pro Tempure
Wow, also very easy to comprehend!
Had to remove several things for it to be simple
Ok, but do you deeply regret deciding to make an Encyclopedia for your timeline because you have made 14 barebones articles and already have to make 54 to provide proper context to the others? (Help)
(Remember to add a link to Wikipedia: Overlinking before posting this on the RMB, thanks)... uhm...*checks notes* Oh, nevermind i just remembered that its actually 56 placeholder articles (forgot to add that one to the list oops) that are still to-do, and then i still need to put that into the fancy "Hey-that-looks-nice"-Code I made. And then i should probably make the actually important articles...
Im trying to find a Wikipedia emulator atm so I can make actual Wikipedia looking stuff
Good news! I found one!
Bad news... It looks kinda not so supported and has weird rules
Good news? I can host my own Wiki server so I might just do that
Is there any in-universe lore around English?
Like where in Lezra does it come from, and why is/was it used as a Lingua Franca?
I did a quick RMB search and i don't think there is any, so we might need to make something up
Hey Sant, are these languages still up to date?
I believe in the Napoleonic RP, I stated that Ivorica speaks mainly "English" or aka "Anglo" which originates from Snowylan, which colonized/ruled Ivorica about 2 centuries
I think we're keeping Common Sant, not Veranian

The constitution of the UCSR should be done soonish. Hopefully, not all too far in the future, but i have not yet even written the parliamentary section, and I'm certainly not avoiding doing that. Also, putting that in the toastypedia style is pretty annoying to code.
It's heavily based on the irl Soviet constitution with some of Gorbachevs and some of my own revisions (mainly to cut out the monstrosity of "Real socialism" (Article 14 is an insult to every self-respecting communist) and replace it with real socialism) in the formatting of Germany's "Basic Law".
It's taking a lot because I'm manually translating each article from a German version if found into English and now improving my bad "4 AM English" and correcting questionable translation decisions.
I don't know why i didn't just use an English version, but now that I'm committed, i won't change it.
Damn, I wasn't even thinking about writing a constitution lmao
At least you don't have to make sure Ivorica isn't obviously violating its own constitution.
and 90% is actually just the soviet constitution with some words changed
Every government eventually violates its own laws or constitution
