Tilvarah is unique in that is can only be described as an anarchic confederation of pirates, raiders, barbarians, and other low-lives unaccepted in regular society.

History.
The Free Peoples were first started in the aftermath of the Golden Age of Piracy, when many of the powerful pirate clans began losing money and power as a result of increased security by the empires that sailed the seas. One of the most powerful pirates, Thirgeld Habver, announced to all pirate clans that they would not be accepted back into normal lives. He sailed the seas, slowly recruiting the many clans to his cause before settling down along the northeast coast of the continent known to them as Lezorvith. They established a rudimentary government for the purpose of organizing raids across the high seas. The nation grew to include all those who wished to live free of laws and governments.

Society and Culture
The society of Tilvarah, as mentioned before, is anarchic and has very little government interference. The population is made up of all sorts of low-lives and outcasts such as pirates, raiders, and bandits. The majority of them reside on the coasts of the nation, where some of the largest cities exist due to the ease of access to the sea, which serves as the lifeline for the money and materials the Free Peoples rely on. Culture is a mix of all the different cultures the pirates and low-lives hail from. The only real similarity between the different clans is that they love to plunder and to drink.

It was actually kinda funny that I almost tried a modernish corporation post

Independent City-States of Dorimgar:

Selenaika:
Selenaika is a port city in the southwestern corner of Dorimgar. A seafaring hub, it grew to prominence in the 1200s as it became the center of trade in the area. It rapidly grew in influence, and in 1324, the capital of the Doric Empire was moved to Selenaika. Following the collapse of the Doric Empire in 1394, many of the empire's citizens fled to Selenaika for protection. The city resisted a 7 year long siege of the city by the invading Talgars and remained independent. Easily defendable on the tip of a peninsula connected to the mainland by a tiny, well-defended isthmus, Selenaika resisted multiple attempts to be absorbed into various kingdoms that attempted to over the following centuries and remains independent to this day.

Cosra:
Cosra lies in northern Dorimgar, an island on the Arn River. After the Talgars were driven out of the country in 1472, the southern kingdom of Melfost and the northern kingdom of Ridria drew their border along the Arn River. However, the agreement failed to address several islands located in the Arn River, Cosra being by far the most notable. Cosra, then a small town, began to govern themselves, as escalating tensions between Melfost and Ridria discouraged either from antagonizing the other by occupying Cosra. The city gradually gained a reputation as a place to escape the governing authorities of the two kingdoms and many fled to safety there. With this influx, Cosra prospered. When Melfost and Ridria united in the unification of Dorimgar, neither nation controlled Cosra, and thus the city-state remained separate despite diplomatic attempts to integrate the city into Dorimgar.

"The Admiral Costola requests an audience immediately, your highness. He says it's urgent."
"Send him in"
A tall, well-dressed man enters the room
"My king, our scouts have reported multiple encounters with pirates in the straight of Boficina. Both Cando and Casore have reported attacks...

Wait, really? Why do they keep getting raided over and over again?

Rednedonia wrote:Wait, really? Why do they keep getting raided over and over again?

Because no one is really active there anymore.

Tilvarah Raids Again.
Captain Mevokem Ironside, leader of the one of the largest pirate clans of Tilvarah, looks on from his ship, the Revenge, as his fleet opens fire upon the city of Cando. His men were some of the best trained of the Free Peoples, and he amassed mass quantities of wealth by raiding the coasts of Dorimgar. They were rich with gold and valuables, but lacking in their ability to stop him. He ordered his ships to disembark forces on the coast outside of Cando. They would conduct a raid larger than any Tilvarah had conducted before.

Lol I thinking on how to hope in
