Option One:Spartan Greece
During the WWII invasion of Greece, The Greek Counter-Offensive was not stopped, Greece was able to liberate Albania from Italy. This was seen as a Detrimental blow to Italy and Soured the Relationship between Italy and Germany. As such, Greece won the Italian-Greek war and would not be invaded by Nazi Germany. After the war, Greek Nationalism skyrocketed with Christodoulos Tsigantes, The Cashiered Greek general winning power in Greece. Tsigantes took inspiration from the Spartans and made Military Service compulsory for Able Bodied men between 18-24. With this, The Women were now leaders of Industry and the men would grow up in Military Schools. Greece would have several modern wars with both Yugoslavia and Turkey over border disputes, Even taking back Istanbul and renaming it.

Option 2:New Anglia (Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine)
During the Revolutionary War, The Colonies of Vermont and New Hampshire stayed Loyal to the crown. As such The new United colony would go by New Anglia and be a key Colony during the War of 1812. During the First World War, New Anglia did not want to send troops to fight and Sued for independence. Due to the Ensuing war and Great Britain not wanting to waste resources, On July 7th 1915, The Republic of New Anglia was born.

There are a few others I might wanna swap to such as a Celtic Union with Ireland and Brittany or a Viking Settled Scotland but idk yet.

In 1932, With the wave of fascism beginning to hit Europe, The Blue Shirts led by Francisco Rolão Preto were gaining steam quickly. With the promise of ending the Economic Crisis and putting Portugal first, Several Generals met with Preto and decided to take action. On March 19th 1932, Several High Ranking generals and their men attempted to Unseat the government in Lisbon. Although they succeeded, Remaining members of the government and Generals who stayed Loyal took up arms. After the Initial Coup, Pro-Government Militia at the town of Almada, A strategic city Separated by the Rio Tejo from Lisbon, Took up Arms as well. This was the first Battle of the Portuguese Civil War, A Two Year long conflict where the Blue Shirts fought the “Green Backs” (Nickname given to those loyal to the Government) In the end, The Blue Shirts would stand victorious, Becoming the power in Portugal. Portugal would intervene in the Spanish Civil War in order to take Galicia. Having been in two recent wars, Preto felt that him staying in power relied on his ability to stay Neutral in the World War. However, Seeking Power for Portugal, Preto would negotiate with Winston Churchill and Great Britain and join the war on behalf of the Allies in exchange for Hong Kong. Portugal would use the war to Bolster their Naval Power. Learning from The British, Portugal would build tons of ships during the war and help enforce the Blockade without sending many Troops. The Portuguese fleet would fight alongside the Americans in the Pacific as well. Preto would always “bother” Allied leaders and developed a large Rivalry with President Roosevelt of the U.S who felt like Portugal was in the war for their gain only. Preto, Who was Bilingual, even opened up meeting on the Potsdam Declaration with the words “Should the Leaders of the great Alliance see fit, Portugal shall take the burden of Leading Japan and seeing them in this new World” Portugal would not of course Annex Japan however, Preto was able to press his way into the Annexation of the Ryukyu Islands. After the war, Portugal would threaten a weakened China and even invade the provinces of Guangdong and Hainan in the Chaos of the Chinese Civil War. Preto would see that his population was Fatigued from war and promised a “Pax Portugalia” Where Portugal would not enter another Armed Conflict until 1952. (I was gonna do more history and have them loose a War to the U.S.)
