Q: Where can I meet everyone in the Region?

A: Discord! Discord is the main platform APSIA uses for out of character talk, and posting smaller in-character events (such small trade deals, diplomacy, etc.)

Q: How do I get started in the main APSIA RP?

A: First, you need to request a place for your country on the map. Map requests can be made on the APSIA Discord. Then, a good way to get started is by reading a bit of past roleplays, to get a feel of large world events that have happened in APSIA, and how RP posts are typically formed. And if you ever have questions about making a roleplay post, anyone on the Discord will be happy to help. You can also telegram Panjal, Nationalist Gold Union, or Mcfreedomstan for help.

Q: Do I need to micromanage everything in my government? That sounds time-consuming.

A: Nope, the most important things to manage is your country's ideology, government type, and responding to any events that occur affecting your nation in the RP. But, you can also micromanage as many things as you like. It can be quite fun create more specific details of your economy, government, military, or anything in your nation.

Q: What happens if I’m not active?

A: If you are not active for over 15 days without any notice, you might be removed from the map and RP until further notice. This of course won’t happen if you notify an Administrator that you will be absent, and you can also ask a close friend to manage your nation while you’re away.

Q: Do my Nation’s NS stats affect the RP?

A: Nope! NS Stats, or the effects that are put onto your country via the in-game issues, have no impact on the RP. The only time NS stats will affect your nation in the RP is if you want them to. Otherwise, any NS stats or issues will not directly affect your nation in the RP.

Q: What do all these abbreviations mean?

A: Here’s a quick rundown of common abbreviations in APSIA:

IC - In-Character

OOC - Out of Character

GDP - Gross Domestic product

RP - Roleplay

NGU - The Nationalist Gold Union. A nation in APSIA, also the founder of the region.

Q: What is "godmodding"? Why are people accusing me of it?

A: Godmodding is when you either act as if your country is invulnerable or if you force actions on other countries without their express permission first. One important thing that could be considered godmodding would be your nation killing the leaders or politicians or generals of enemy countries (without asking for permission first). You're always able to "arrange" the assassination of that leader, for instance, but it's up to whoever owns that leader to whether or not they are injured or killed.

Q: I don't get the RP. It's really confusing and the plot makes no sense.

A: Many before you were on that boat. Just ask anyone on the Discord your questions and they will likely answer you quickly. It may also help to read the old posts in the older RPs, but considering the fact that there are a few hundred posts it might take a while.
