Election 2022 wraps up in The United States of Americanas

The Office of President has been changed over from President Herbert Waltman to Elliot Whitman

Herbert Waltman was a Democrat Socialist president. Incoming president Elliot Whitman is a Democrat Socialist. Both are members of the Environmental Defense League however worth noting Elliot Whitman is a member of the Healthcare Defense Fund. We expect an increase in healthcare related expenditures and new healthcare related laws to be pushed. The Drug Safety Act of 2019 which has been stalled by the Waltman administration has been moved forward to a vote immediately this week.

The election was held on Friday September 9th with an astonishing turnout of 10B voters with 2B non voting. The non voter count is expected to be far lower in the next election as the Non Voters Tax Act & Declaration of Election Days as Holidays Act of 2019 was passed earlier today to a 499 aye 1 nay count. Non voters may be subject to certain tax penalties in the next election.

The ballot readout -

Herbert Waltman for re-election 4.4B
Elliot Whitman for President 5.6B W
Desmond Almontez for President ~200,000 (Third party candidate, liberal conservatives caucus)

Per the order of the new President Mr. Elliot Whitman the General Assembly shall be expanded to 1.2 billion members. This will make impossible roll called votes, all votes will be eVote or voice votes via remote telephony. The General Assembly shall be convened by electronic remote means. The old General Assembly chambers and buildings will continue to be used for their original purposes. All General Assembly meetings shall have the leading 500 members housed within the hall of legislature. Remote members will rotate through having a seat on the floor. It is estimated that by 2024 the hall of legislature will need to be expanded to a grand hall. The General Assembly and President shall deliberate upon how many persons the hall will handle, it is our expectation that the hall will handle between 10,000 and 20,000 members.

Residences for members of the General Assembly shall continue to be government provided.

The change of presidency occurred quietly and quickly early this morning, consisting of a four hour period of transfer.

The Inauguration of Elliot Whitman was completed behind closed doors with minimal media presence. A video tape will be released to media soon. This was done in accordance with national law and with interest of protecting the office from undue tampering from civilian influence and to make the transfer of power swift and efficient.

former President Herbert Waltman gave his last speech at 7:01AM and then boarded the aircraft at 8:00AM to his home state. His speech noted the following important remarks.

"My successor Elliot will be a skilled hand, he will rule evenly and has the same partisan affiliation as I, while I didn't manage to keep the office I am up there in the years and appreciated serving for the five years I have served. Due to the zombie pandemic and other situations I was given the privilege of serving an extra year. I could have turned down such a privilege and forced an election but to do so may have jeopardized the nations health. While I have my shortcomings like a few stalled bills still upon the agenda I leave the office with a nation much larger, financially strong and with a happy populace. I retire now to my humble home in (WITHHELD INFORMATION FOR PROTECTION) and will spend my years with my wife (NAME WITHHELD) and children (NAMES WITHHELD x3) while we sit upon the advisory committee to President Whitman."

At 10AM the new incoming President Mr Elliot Whitman gave a brief statement before entering for inauguration

"I am excited to begin working on getting the nation into better health. The zombie pandemic, the fungal plague, all of these things happened not because of anyones fault, but because our nation has just plain not put enough time and money to the healthcare chapter. The religion chapter became heavily overfunded under the Waltman administration, it was not intentional, it was just the way of the gavel. Mr. Waltman had already slashed funding to the religious services sector and I plan to continue to keep the funding stable where it is now. I foresee few cuts and possibly slow expansion to allow appropriate growth of spiritual services in the nation, necessary to maintain proper mental health in the nation and ancillary to our mental health services. My entire administration will be focused on health and technology."

After giving his brief remarks lasting approximately 15 minutes at 10:15AM he was inaugurated and sat to the desk for the first time. By 5:00PM he ordered the General Assembly to post its first new law under the Whitman administration. Mr Whitman set his pen to the bill minutes ago in his first signing ceremony. That bill was the Non Voters Tax Act & Declaration of Election Days as Holidays Act of 2019 passed at 5:50PM on this day 09/10/2022 and immediately sent to the office for signing and signed at 6:00PM.

In a matter of seven hours the nation passed its first new law under the Whitman administration and is set to pass more laws this week.

The nation tomorrow may consider passage of the Drug Safety Act of 2019 however due to it being a Sunday General Assembly members may not be able to turn up to vote. Mr. Whitman has ordered that it be calendared for this week, the week of September 12th.

Mr Whitman will serve the nation until 09/10/2026 when he will be replaced or re-elected in the 2026 election.

The contenders for the 2026 election will be released on 01/01/2026

The General Assembly is likely to change to election by sortition lottery. Of which all citizens will be eligible to participate. This is due to the sheer size of managing a 1.2 Billion person legislative workforce.

The automated lottery will select 10% of the citizenry every two years.
