The Galactic Times | Issue #10 | 25 May 2022
Soon after Layem was liberated by the Security Council to remove the region's password on 22 May, nations from all over NationStates immediately swarmed into the region to participate in a raid on a region that currently appears to be one of NationStates's most disliked.
Layem's new World Factbook Entry gives credit to The Black Hawks, The League, The Gay Agenda, The Pacific, The East Pacific, The North Pacific, The South Pacific, The West Pacific, Mariner Trench, Lone Wolves United, Thaecia, Europeia, The Order of the Grey Wardens, Lily, Balder, Osiris, Caer Sidi, Sky Haven, The Communist Bloc, The Brotherhood of Malice, The Sasquatch Republic and many more regions for helping raid the region.
The raiders have threatened the native Layemites that the NationStates Gameplay Forum "shall smite the bigoted and plunge them into the fiery pit".
The Security Council is voting to repeal the liberation, so that the raiders can set a password on the Confederacy of Layem and prevent people from entering the region again.
Currently, it is supported by a 93% majority.
"This is because some of our main members have decided to leave, so we are shutting down.", said Lightning militia. "We may stop the shutdown/re-open at some point, but due to lack of members, ridiculous numbers of enemies, and lots of failed raids, we are now closing."
All former members of TLA have been told to move to The Great Storm.
However, the run-off election is now also tied, with one vote for Universe World and one vote for Jogurtland, and it is possible that the run-off election may end in a tie too, delaying the appointment of new ministers.
It is unclear what will happen if the poll ends in a tie, but The Galactic Times speculates that if the poll ties, another run-off election will be held to attempt to break the tie again.
The newspaper will now be wider and will use more images, some of which will come with captions.
Text will no longer be perfectly centred, and will instead be aligned to the side of the images.
Jogurtland, editor of The Galactic Times, has now begun to consider adding riddles, polls and other features to the newspaper in the hopes of improving it even further.
