On 14 April,2023, the leader of Japan and India virtually concluded the first annual summit.
Clause I: Trade Agreement
Japan will invest 45 billion USD in infrastructure projects in India.
India will sell thorium to Japan to run 5 plants at the cost of 30 billion annually.
Clause II: Military and Space Cooperation
Japan will buy 100 Bofors gun at the cost of 200 million
ISRO and JSED had signed MOU to launch Japan 2 satellites and MOU on cooperation in Japan first manned mission. The total cost is 8 million of which 2 million will invested in India to manufacture JSED satellite.
Clause III: Tourism Sector
Japan and India tourism department will together launch a common platform to facilitate tourism between the two countries. In addition a forum will be setup between Foreign Minister of both countries to discuss on tourism annually.
Speeches and Reaction:
Following the Japo-India summit, relations have been improved significantly between the two countries, and the future looks hopeful for the two countries as the worlds fastest growing economy signs deals with the current largest. -Kaz KaanSignatories
