MANDATORY RELIGIOUS DIVERSITY EDUCATION CURRICULUM <LAW>

Set forth today by the legislature becoming effective in the 2021 school year and beyond a three semester class is now mandatory for all high school students. “Religious Diversity Studies Unit 1” is designed to give high school students enough basic understanding of all major religions in the nation to respectfully coexist with their followers and know their major principals and holidays and purposes.

In no way does RDS class promote a religion above another, atheism will be taught as a option in such classes.

The legislature has passed this motion despite opposition from anti religion advocates. The legislature sees the classes as necessary to reduce friction between high schoolers and religious entities and persons.

Students who opt out of the class must take an equivalent credit hour load of another type of social studies / history element.
