AI Nation Bios

Chrysanthemum Confederacy

Capital City: Edo

Leader: Shōgun Seno Shintaro

War Points: 18

National Bio:
The military commissariat known internationally as the Chrysanthemum Confederacy, is a nominally democratic nation. However internally, the dividing line between the civil administration and the military has blurred to the point where they have largely become one and the same. Having first gained independence as a result of Bakjaeoan acquiescence to armed paramilitary death squads, the now independent Chrysanthemum Confederacy and Bakjaeo are indispensably linked. United under the Sunrise Agreements, a level of Pan-Asian unity has been reached across the region, not seen since the days of the Dishongese hegemony centuries earlier.

A new nation with something to prove, the Chrysanthemum Confederacy is ambitious and desires to stake its claim in world affairs. Only time will tell what the final result of this ambition will be.

Dishong

Capital City: Xiao Mao

Leader: Emperor Zhou Qing

War Points: 110

National Bio:
The "Celestial Kingdom" of Dishong is a proud nation… in decline. Once thought to be the center of the universe, the height of human civilization, and the envy of the world, Dishong has begun to recognize that it has fallen behind. Having once dominated the Far East, Dishong now faces competition from states it once viewed as tributary and backwards such as Bakjaeo.

The Celestial Kingdom is now faced with a choice, stick to the old imperial traditions, or try something new? Expand or isolate? Innovate or capitalize on old strengths? With the future for the first time in centuries uncertain, Dishong has grown paranoid of its neighbors and the international community at large. Its trust will need to be earned. However, with a new, and young, Emperor sitting on the Celestial Throne, who knows if this once great majestic dragon of a nation will take flight again?

Equatorial Kundu

Capital City: Bitanga

Leader: President Nimbala

War Points: 10

National Bio:
Despite its vast natural wealth in the diamond, timber, and ivory trade, Equatorial Kundu is the poorest nation on the planet. A state cobbled together in the dying days of its colonial overlord, the Kundunese are a bi-ethnically diverse population with the majority of ethnic Arkuto citizens under the governance of a minority Induye government.

A fielding democracy with a literal basket case economy, Kundu is seeking to make its place in the world.

Free Gobi Collective (FGC)

Capital City: Belada

Leader: Chairman Gong Tai

War Points: 12

National Bio:
At home in the vast and desolate expanses of Asia, the single-party ruled Free Gobi Collective encompasses a landscape dotted with isolated agricultural villages and small industrial collectives. A tranquil people, who achieved independence as a result of EDE liberation, the FGC is committed to maintaining the people’s nomadic ways and keeping the nation free from any imperialist yoke.

While fully independent, the Free Gobi Collective maintains friendly relations with Misehistushvico seeing it as a nation that shares mutual values, a shared history, and a commitment to international peacekeeping.

Gran Perónia

Capital City:

Leader: Grand Marshal Auguste Bolívu

War Points: 35

National Bio:

Imperial Balkania

Capital City: St. Rostovaburg

Leader: Tsar Nikolai Satlinikov VII

War Points: 210
WMDs: 20

National Bio:
Imperial Balkania is the international personification of a “Bull in a Dishong Shop”. Stopping at nothing to assert its dominance, Imperial Balkania seeks global dominance and rapid expansion. An autocratic state with a hereditary monarchy, elections are outlawed, and many civil freedoms are curtailed. While profoundly domineering, Imperial Balkania is not however above working with other nations. Especially with ideologically similar states which it views as “White Balkanias” or other states that might further the empire’s long-term goals.

The United Federation remains a problem, however, especially with their entrenched position within Qumar. In the end, the UF will need to be either crushed or brushed aside, but what’s wrong with that?

Qumar

Capital City: Qumar City

Leader: Supreme Leader Akbar Salah

War Points: 65

National Bio:
The Violet Republic of Qumar has long been a nation mired in instability, religious fanaticism, and political infighting. The largest oil producer in the world, Qumar alone exports more than 35% of the world’s current petroleum supply. (A statistic, it is seeking to expand further via growth into the oil-rich regions of South West Asia.) Due to its inhospitable mountainous and desert geography, Qumar has been coined “the place where empires go to die”, as numerous former superpowers have unsuccessfully tried to impose their colonial will on the Violet Republic.

Governed by a theocratic Supreme Leader, Qumar functions as a Father Knows Best state, governing its people from above (and at a distance). The autocratic nation has no qualms about executing those who have broken even the most minor of religious laws in favor of a secular Qumar.

Internationally, Qumar is the world’s largest state supporter of terrorism, often preferring to use espionage and disruption to hinder the plans of its rivals rather than direct confrontation. While Qumar has no official allies in the region, Qumar does allow for the United Federation to operate several military bases within the country with the United Federation classifying the Violet Republic of Qumar as a “Partner in Peace” in the region.

United Federation

Capital City: Roosevelt

Leader: President James “Jimmy” Cartier

War Points: 225
WMDs: 18

National Bio:
The United Federation is a global newcomer. After defeating its colonial overlord in armed conflict, the regions of the now United Federation consolidated their power into a republic committed to the promotion of democracy abroad, and to the ideals of a strong national defense. Considered by many to be the leader of the free world, the UF looks fondly on states which promote high civil and political rights among their citizens.

Locked in a cold war with Imperia Balkania, the United Federation seeks to match its rival’s power through a widescale military buildup. To do this the United Federation has found an odd bedfellow in The Violet Republic of Qumar which allows the United Federation to maintain military bases within its borders.
