Nottinhaps for MGA (December 2019)

Vote Nottinhaps for MGA!

Experience

I have been a member of the General Assembly for 5 terms. During these terms, I have authored many amendments and bills, the most influential of them being the MoI legislative package during the 15th General Assembly and the Military Voting Citizen Amendments and Bills passed during the 12th and 14th General Assemblies. I have also served as Minister of Recruitment for 3 months, Minister of NS Affairs for 1 month, and Prime Minister for 3 months. Finally, I currently am the Ambassador between TLA and Democratic Socialist Assembly, North Korea and Antifa, and was the ambassador between TLA and Social Liberal Union.

Policies

The establishment of an EndoTarting Program

I will propose an "EndoTarting Program" whose main goal is to encourage endorsement swapping, or "EndoTarting". This is a program that is already in place in Europeia and The North Pacific. The EndoTarting Program will work similarly to the Comrade Index, except that instead of showing month-by-month rank changes, there will be two separate leader boards: One for nations who endorsed the most, and another for nations who endorsed the most in the past month. This will not only increase the average number of endorsements, but also provide a fun minigame to new players, meaning they will be less likely to CTE quickly after joining TLA.

Greater communication between both the legislature and executive and the public

Many citizens are unaware of what the government has done or what the legislature has passed. To make sure that the public is aware of the legislature, I propose that the Speaker of the General Assembly will make a general breakdown of all amendments that have been passed or failed, twice every term. I also propose that there are two State of the Assembly Address made by the Secretary every three months, rather than one.

Secretary voting on WA resolutions based on general opinion within TLA

I propose that the Secretary vote based on the public opinion of TLA as a whole, rather than based on the Secretary's personal opinion. This would create greater democracy within TLA. This would also mean that citizens would be more inclined to endorse the Secretary. This is because the Secretary is more likely to vote what citizens will vote, which means that citizens' votes in the WA will be increased by endorsing the Secretary. I also propose that the Interregional Legislative Coalition be revitalized and encourage discussing of WA proposals, both within TLA and the ILC.
