Rules of Etharia

Regional Map

1: The Regional Map displays all the nations accepted into Etharian canon. Nations are not IC part of Etharia until they are added to the map.

2: Map plots must be approved by an admin.

3: If a nation on the map is inactive for extended periods of time, they shall be warned that further inactivity may result in a loss of land or total deletion from the map. Failure to heed this warning will result in such actions being taken.

4: Conversely, active players who take part in regional events and roleplays may be awarded with the opportunity to expand their nation.

5: Deleted nations can petition for the restoration of their former borders if and only if their land has not been claimed by another player in the time of their absence.

6: Both grey and light green sections of the map are open to new players, with grey indicating the borders of former nations which have since been deleted.

7: Nations WILL NOT be allowed to expand until they have demonstrated activity in the server and in roleplays, and have existed on the map for at least a month. Expansion of nations is at the discretion of an admin.

Discord Regional Offices and Roles

1: Members of the Discord shall be divided into two categories: Regional Officers and Players. Regional Officers are appointed at the discretion of the admin and moderation teams.

Regional Officers

2: The admin and moderation teams shall consist of 5 positions known as Regional Officers: Server Administrator, Administrator, Senior Moderator, Moderator, and WA Delegate.

3: The title of Server Administrator corresponds with the server owner and region founder, Kanadorika.

4: Administrators may appoint players to any office up to and including Administrator. This position manages the discord server and region homepage.

5: Senior Moderators are the most senior members of the moderation team, and while unable to perform admin duties, may appoint players to any office up to and including Senior Moderator. This position ensures members adhere to the rules of the Discord server.

6: Moderators are tasked with ensuring the rules are being adhered to. They may not appoint players to Regional Offices, though may provide roles to Non-Officers.

7: The WA Delegate is the only position not appointed by a regional officer and instead elected by the player base. They share similar duties and powers similar to that of an Administrator.

Players

8: Players form the general population of the region, and are divided into several positions.Senior Member, Active, Approved, and Unapproved

9: Senior Members are players who have written at least one regional roleplay.

10: Active denotes players who retain a consistent presence in regional roleplays.

11: Approved denotes players who have been added to the map, but are not consistent roleplayers or are new.

12: Unapproved denotes players who have yet to be added to the map, but express an interest in roleplaying.

Other Roles

13: Visitor refers to members present in the Discord server, but uninterested in NationStates.

14: Artists are Officers or Players capable of producing artwork for the region and other members for the purpose of NationStates.

15: Temporary Post Block refers to members who are prohibited from posting by a Regional Officer for an allocated period of time. Failure to adhere to a Post Block may result in further action being taken against the member.

World Assembly Delegate

1: The World Assembly Delegate gives players the opportunity to elect another player into a Regional Office.

2: Elections shall be held on the 1st of the month, every three months. The next election is on August 1st. Elections will be held as polls on the region homepage, and shall run for three days.

3: Players must have been in the region for a period of three or more months to be eligible for the position of Delegate.

4: Appointed Regional Office holders are banned from holding the office of WA Delegate. This includes Administration and Moderation.

5: For security reasons, the office of WA Delegate itself on NS will be limited in powers. Incumbents will instead be granted additional powers by the Founder in a separate, created WA role.

6: Delegates may serve for two consecutive terms. After the second term, they must relinquish office, though they may run for Delegate once again in three months.
