Steinfeld

Steinfeld
Steinfeld is the second largest city in Kazhinumatra, containing 31% of the districts' population.
The city was originally named Chrisotia, after King Ivanier's 3rd born Chrisot.

Decades later, a large force of invaders attacked Kazhinumatra in attempt to conquer the Kingdom.
After 7 years at war, Ivanier and his 2 eldest sons were killed in battle.

Chrisot was then crowned King. For the next 3 years Chrisot and his armies vanquished the invaders and scorched their cities, they were victorious.
Although, it is widely belived that Chrisot was not responsible for their victory and that a brave, young warrior named Hartlet Stein had been the driving force and saviour of Kazhinumatra. Hartlet's agile and stealthy attack made her quick and efficient and her charisma boosted the morale of her fellow troops.

On return from war, the people of Kazhinumatra held mass celebrations across the Kingdom, mainly in the capital of Kilamonterra.
In the city of Chrisot, the word had spread that the young warrior, Hartlet Stein, whom had grew up in Chrisot, was the reason Kazhinumatra was still standing.
Hartlet was never acknowledged by the Monarch for her part in their victory, nor was she acknowledged by anyone outside of Chriost.

These events led up to the Chrisotian Revolution, where the people of Chrisot sought independence from The Kingdom of Kazhinumatra.
They proclaimed Hartlet Stein as their Queen, which she accepted. The Chrisotian's had picked the perfect time to revolt as Kazhinumatra was in attempt to rebuild after their decade-long war.

Chrisotia was renamed to Steinfeld, which was in the small city state of The Queendom of Steinfeld.
Hartlet was named Queen Hartlet of Steinfeld.

In 1902, The Queendom of Steinfeld reunified with The Kingdom of Kazhinskia, bringing an end to 180 years of sovereignty.

Whilst the current flag of Steinfeld is the official flag, 90% of the populus of the city still use the older flag, as the the majority still wished to be independent but their Queen at the time of reunification (whom was heavily disliked) did not follow the same morals of her predecessors.
