Special Operations Task Force (SOTF) 13, or Task Force Omega, is a specialized unit of the Powerian Intelligence Agency for both national defense and offense. They were fromed by Russell Miller originally in response to the threat posed by the super-nationalist military organization known as Jackal.
SOTF 13 was formed by Russell Miller in response to the growing threat posed by the Deltan organization known as Jackal. Originally, the team believed Jackal was a single person, leading the group, but soon became aware that Jackal was the name of the organization, as opposed to it's leader.
Raiding the Petrovsky building
Using his contact in the ISB, [Redacted], Miller was able to get himself and Dimitri into the building without problem. Searching for information regarding Jackal's leader, they found nothing. An alarm was sounded when the two were overheard speaking English as opposed to the mandatory Russian while inside the building. Barely escaping, they had no more evidence than what they started with.
On an assignment, Jackson and Dimitri raided an apartment in a small German town in search for files on Jackal. They were in the home of Friedrich Schneider, a member of Jackal. The mission went awry as Dimitri was captured, but with help from Jackson and his contact, Yirina Sidorov, they escaped with the files. Later, performing a raid on a Makastan drug lord's building, they captured and interrogated him, finding that he was indeed doing deals with Jackal. While they managed to apprehend the files and drugs the soldiers had in their possession, they were not able to do it without injury. Desperate, Miller decided there was nothing left to do than to [Redacted]
