Ooooooohhhh... Yeah, like most things involving communism I don't really get it but now I kinda get it. Still a Feudalist, but an interesting political view none the less.
Bernie Sanders has said he doesn't believe that the free market should be abolished, ergo he's just a social democrat and not a democratic socialist. AOC hasn't openly advocated for socialism either, although I do recall she's a member of the DSA. With that being said, I wouldn't put it past them that they're hiding their power-level.
I personally don't have any problem with social democrats, but I know some leftists, particularly Marxist-Leninists and the like, have some beef with them (something something "social fascism").
