Habemus Papam - Reema, Papal States - February 2, 1921

A large crowd numbering in the thousands gathered in the embrace of St. Patrick’s Plaza just below the balcony of the gargantuan Basilica. They roared with thunderous applause as white smoke billowed from the iron chimney of the Urbana Chapel where the Cardinals had been casting their ballots for the past week. Shouts of “Habemus Papam!” or “We have a pope!” rose from the throngs of individuals gathered to witness the end of this historic event. But who was elected?

Many began to speculate that perhaps it was Cardinal Telmachi of Niagara. Why wouldn’t the Cardinals elect someone from an Alliance nation? Electing from a former League state would only agitate the Alliance, threatening the church’s position and the safety of its believers all across the world. Anger rose in the hearts of some as they considered the consequences of Clement’s decision to go to war. Had Clement remained neutral then it wouldn’t have mattered who was elected, just so long as he remained friendly to the new world order just as Clement was friendly to the old one.

Others saw this as their chance at revenge for the atrocities committed by the Alliance during the War. Sticking it to the brood of vipers that claimed to stand for justice, peace, and security was all that mattered to them. Openly they called for the Exoan candidate, Cardinal Dinkleberg, to be the pope. They even went so far as to threaten to storm the Apostolic Complex in traditional Reeman fashion, depose the reigning pope and install their preferred candidate. As such, clashes broke out between the two factions in the Plaza - those who understood the new way of the world, and those who desired a return to the old.

Then the trumpets blared and the crowds fell silent. From above, the scarlet drapes behind the French doors of the balcony were brushed to the side. Out came two deacons who draped the papal seal of Clement XVI over the side. Two more deacons holding golden crosses mounted on oak poles came out and stood on either side of the seal. Then came the Dean of the College of Cardinals.

The old man, a Hundslander who was appointed to the position following the War’s end, came forward. He smiled wide as the first two deacons finished setting up the primitive microphone that he would use to announce to the world the identity of their new pope. Once they finished, he stepped up to the microphone.

“Habemus Papam!” He announced, echoing that phrase in every language of the College. “We have a Pope!” The crowds cheered, eagerly awaiting the appearance of the new pope. The old man paused, just for a moment, to take in the sight of 10,000 gathered faithful. “My dear brothers and sisters, Conclave has chosen the Most Reverent and Most Eminent Lord Opel, Cardinal of the Mother Church Dinkleberg, who takes for himself the name Innocent XIV.”

The crowd’s reaction was mixed. Some felt betrayed by Conclave, believing that they and their small state were now doomed. Alliance powers would not look kindly on the election of a man from the main belligerent of the War. On the other hand, many pro-League parishioners cheered. They believed that the hour had arrived to show the world that they could not be bullied into submission, that the church would stand its ground. Scuffles broke out in the Plaza once more when the man appeared in his white cassock, brilliantly embroidered scarlet shoulder cape, and white mitre.

Cries of “traitor” and “death to Exoa” became muddled with “God save the Pope, long live the Pope” as Innocent went to give his first address to the world. “My dear brothers and sisters…”

Border with Miu
0238

The Invasion fleet held at the border posts. The Seven platoons were scattered across the border. 1/10 was responsible for a small stretch that was bordered with the Shoguns. Since Matsrakia had good relations with the Shoguns, the division was ordered to only attack Imperial and Reformist strongholds. James P. Volta looked over from the Imperial Border pillbox. He could see flashes of light as Imperial and Shogun soldiers slugged it out at the border. Small firefights erupted. 1/10 had brought huge spotlight with them in case of need. But dared not use them so close to the border. He knew both sides were not foolish enough to attack an Iserkian border post. But the soldiers couldn't see in the dark. And all were at high alert. The Invasion would start tomorrow. All platoons would move into only Imperial territory. James turned around, the fires of the camp that the 1,000 strong of 1/10. Soon, some families of 1/10, will be down 1, an Iserk, will me down many.

Front lines, Sector C, Arcadisia

Bang clutched his MP-18 submachine gun closely to his chest. The sound of artillery roared down around him. He sat against the parapet of the trench, his back towards the enemy. A distant few miles or so away was an old Arcadisian castle upon a hilltop. From the castle, hundreds of artillery cannons roared. He envied the soldiers there, sitting in their comfy encampments. He had been sitting there just a few days ago, before being sent out again for his rotation as a front line soldier. And he once more remembered why he hated trenches so much. He turned around and peered through the periscope, looking at the enemy. Though they occupied the higher ground, the enemy still retained a superiority in cannons and numbers. The airspace was hotly contested, with no clear victor. The navy...well, he'd heard tales of Admiral Noryang, who in the face of extreme naval superiority, won again and again, nearly singlehandedly bringing the Calarim supply lines to but a trickle.

None of this mattered to him right now. He was sitting in a trench, and one of the worse ones too. The trenches down in Sector A were sturdy concrete ones with wick covers and underground bunkers. Sector B was very crude, but livable. But Sector C? This was the worst place to be. Alright, the castle was beautiful, but Sector A had a bigger and more impressive one anyways - plus, they were backed up by a Great War era fortress. Sector C was muddy, rotten, and was the most crowded.

He picked at his clothes. He'd joined the Arcadisian Army because he wanted to wear the fancy blue uniforms that he had seen in the propaganda posters. Of course, he got one of the erzatz uniforms that were issued at the start of 1916 instead. His gun was the best though, a submachine gun. Cruder than the sportsman rifles the others had, with all the unnecessary bells and whistles that encapsulated the Chancellor Hwan era, but his gun, was probably the most effective in real combat, being beaten by the rifles at only range. It had a fearsome tat-tat-tat sound, and it let him mow down a lot of enemy soldiers more easily, so there was that. And unlike the C96 autopistols that his officer carried, it was quick to deploy and easy to fix. Those C96s were no better than the G98s in terms of unnecessary decor. It wouldn't look too out of place in a prince's cabinet. Then again, they didn't engrave it with dragons and flowers like the guns he'd seen in a real noble's house, so at least they weren't completely stupid.

"Alright lads, 5 minutes!" his officer yelled. The machine gunner gave him a thumbs up. Dang, just as he was about to go over too. Sucker got to stay back.
"Lance Corporal Bang Gwan, reporting for duty! Squad A, ready for action!" The rest of the squads gave the officer the same calls. "Alright boys," he addressed his squad. "This is it. For Arcadisia! Today, we take back our rightful land, where we have lived and breathed for thousands of years. For the liberation of Arcadisia! For the people of Arcadisia! Fight, fight to the death!" What...what was he doing here? He should have quit being in the army after the war.
"Sir yes sir!" everyone yelled. But it lacked the same enthusiasm, the same hope that rung at the start of the war.

The officer blew the whistle. Everyone charged forwards. Artillery rained down and machine guns roared. Men were torn through like cloth on a knife. Bang ran forwards anyways, his gun spitting lead at the enemy.

" Never a Other Kijoli Pass " -Part 1
The Duchy of Suomi, Kijoli Mountains Region: Miklozian Front.
4th of December 1916: 3:00PM

"Take Cover" *Explosions* "Artillery Barrage!" *Whistles* "Soldiers in the name of Matsrakia! CHARGE!"
At 3:00PM in a effort to reconquer Mount Kijoli the Military High Command Decides to Order a Infantry charge. The Miklozians Immediately lunched a Artillery Barrage at the Trenches. We were in the winter, Ice accumulated over Mount Kijoli. It Snowed straight for 24h.

General Marko Ustio Van Harlem: Alkrion! Get on You're Horse!

Cavalry Kaapitan Alkrion Van Harlem: Herr General!

The Objectives were simple: the Charge consisted to take the Kijoli Village in the Valley. Meanwhile the Kijolijägers launched a offensive to take the Highest point in the Kijoli Pass or in other terms Mount Jijoli: 3,697Km above sea Level: The Highest in the Kijoli Mountain Range.

Valiant Soldiers headed out from their Trenches: "Uraah! Charge!" Shells landed all arround the Infantry column. The Valley was a deathtrape: It was only 19km Wide but the Matsrakian Trenches were set up at the naroest part of the Valley: Hill.K0798 4,7Km wide. The Miklozian Trenches were at the entry of the Village: The Matsraks had to run 3km in the Ice and Snow to reach them.

At this point, the Soldiers where 2Km in the charge.

Grenadier-General Marko Ustio Van Harlem: Friendly Artillery Coming!

The Matsrak Artillery were equiped with Schrapnell Shells: The Shell exploded when it touched the ground, then it released Explosive metal Bolts: a 2 Time Explosive Shell.

"Aargh!" Shouted a Matsrakian Soldier "Friendly Fire!". The 223rd Artillery Korps was attached to the 12th Großherzogtums Grenadiers the Division where the Van Harlem's and Van Tielman's controlled at the time. Unfortunately, the 223rd was given wrong coordinates from Rookies at the Forward Artillery Observation Post.

Grenadier-General Marko Ustio Van Harlem: Incompetence! Retreat!

to avoid a Slaugther, General Van Harlem gave the order of retreat. but suddenly...

Grenadier-General Marko Ustio Van Harlem: Aargh!

The General got shoted by a Matsrakian Conscript whom confused him with a Miklozian Officer thanks to the Blizard.

"Father!" shouted the Young Alkrion. The General seeing the distress in the eyes of his child shouted: " Kaapitan Retreat That's a Order! " but Alkrion stood there chocked, once again the general shouted: " Son! There is nothing you can Do! Retreat! ". Then Alkrion dismounted his Horse and Runned to his Father shouting: " Hang in there! " but then he got shoted by a Miklozian Soldier: the Miklozians seeing the Retreat decided to charge in.

Now The Two were on the ground wounded. The General shouted tho his son: " Alkrion! It's going to be Alright Hang in there my Angel! " But then, a Schrapnell Landed near them sending Alkrion in a Blackout....

March 16th 1921
The Imperial Palace: the Imperial Bedroom.

Van Harlem: *screams* "Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh!"

Van Harlem falls from his bed, Herr Keffler who was in the corridor rushed in with Two Guards.

Herr Keffler: "Herr President!" the Minister rushed to attend the President.

Van Harlem: "I Wished Van Tielman was here.... " The president then dismays....

Herr Keffler: Guards! Call the Medics!

Blazing Winds - Azoria (Thrunfeld) Introduction Post

Azori skies are never calm, planes fly above, demonstrating prowess and skill. Discipline is a heavy aspect of modern Azoria, brotherhood and family are traits highly respected in the nation. The ideal Azori is one who puts their pride aside, and instead "soar" proudly with their brothers and sisters. If the Azori finds themselves far from home, they can alway call to the surroundings as their family, even if they are not welcomed or treated as such. It is an Azori's duty to serve and protect those who they love and cherish. The greatest example of all these traits is found in the legendary Azori air force. Azoria's strong and respectable Caudal has made it his duty to revitalize Azoria's culture into one to perpetuate through the centuries.

Ever since Azoria freed itself of from its inept monarchy, it has only sought inner peace. Redirecting the angers of the masses against other nations who have wronged Azoria in the past. Nations like Casta, Alazumbra, Verna and Bravala were conquered by the start of the second decade of the 20th Century. Succumbing to Azoria military might. these regions are still untamed, and still pose a grand issue for Azoria to tackle. De La Rosa has made it clear that rebellion and strife would only be met with force. De La Rosa has called upon his "wings", his "aces" and "lapdogs" to quell the insurrections. The bullets of their planes to cut through like many blades of grass. The roar of their engines to bring fear to the enemy...

Riodeja - Alazumbra Occupation Zone, 1921

In the skies flew a formation of biplanes, armed with deadly and effective weapons. Ranging from one bomb, and two chain guns, and on occasion a tertiary one at the back. The fighting in Riodeja is fierce, and unyielding. The freedom fighters fought honorably and gallantry. But that would not save them from their horde like mentality. The land army was pinned, a specific contingent holding the line from a building. and within the ransacked building, an anti-tank gun. The small group was almost of out ammo.

One of the pilots looked down to the fighting from the back seat. A stray bullet shot a hole through his aviator cap and he moved back, shocked. The pilot looked back and asked.

"Mauro are you alright?" - asking imperatively

"Yes, Enrique, Im fine...but lets get this over with so we don't get shot down...Mother would kill us a as second time..." - said Mauro

"Agreed, she's capable of scaring demons away..." - said Enrique as he pulled down his goggles and signaled to the other planes to begin the initial phase of their attack.

The planes dove down, all of them carrying bombs, heavy ones able to dent and create chinks in the armor of bunkers. Some have reported that these can simply just eviscerate tanks. Mauro let go of the bomb, dropping it on an armored truck carrying weapons to the enemy. Enrique fired the two chain guns behind the rotors. The guns let out a thunderous noise as they hit multiple soldiers in the backs and their heads. Some even pierced a house, killing maybe three more people inside. The small contingent of men sallied out from their defensive positions after the firing ceased. With the air forces' help they were able to repel the enemy attack. Soon enough the city would fall back to Azori hands. Mauro and Enrique would return back to base, claiming their second victory together. The Azori banner flew over the city, bringing the city to heel and its combatants to rout or surrender.

The Letters

March 15-17th, 1921

Duchess Maria, House of Exonia,

I understand that we have our differences, and that we have fought against each other for months, but now we're on the same boat and all must be done to save The Dynasty.

To that end, I propose a conference to be held to discuss a ceasefire until the invaders have been repelled, and that all factions be invited to it. I propose to meet at the city of Asfuss, until then our soldiers will not perform any offensives.

For the Dynasty!

Lord Overnn, House of Marir

3/15/21
.
.
Two days later, the following letter was distributed across the Dynasty:

To all of the peoples of the Mu'yan Dynasty,

Our way of life is under threat, besieged by the threats in the north and the south, we are faced by a threat that we have never come across before; the threat of the loss of our existence. To that end, on the 21st a meeting shall be held is the city of Asfuss to discuss terms of a ceasefire, and to end the threat to our people.

Until then, Reformist forces will cease all offensives, and invites all to participate in this meeting.

For the Dynasty!

Duchess Maria, House of Exonia.

Shogunate

Preparations

March 16th, 1921

Shogun T'mmu was aware of what was happening around him: the invasions, the treaty, the letters. Holding a cigar in his hand, he laughed, and to some, it was the laugh of a madman, a person gone mad with power. As he smoked his cigar, he asked for a letter to be sent out to Matsrakia, as he was aware that he was offered a military delegation from them. He requested that they be sent to the lower palace directly, as to discuss their next move regarding the Imperialists and Reformists.

He knew that the following months would decide the fate of the Dynasty, and that he could very well be an integral part of changing its future.

“Down with the King! Long Live the Republic!” was the crowds cry. Republicans, still angered over the defeat of the Democratic Liberation Front in the civil war, gathered around the statue of Queen Samantha I, only queen of Greater Niagara. Their demand, to bring an end to the monarchy.

“Give us a republic! Give us a real government!”

It appeared to be getting out of hand. The crowd numbered in the hundreds, amd police attempts to quell the protest were futile. Now they were bringing out effigies of the king. They began to light fires, and threw the effigies into the flame.

“Death to the King! Bring back President Mizoko!”

Now it had gone too far. A platoon of soldiers arrived, their weapons held high. The crowd threw rocks and rotten fruit at the soldiers, more and more until…

The crack of gunfire was heard, and suddenly a dozen rioters fell down, dead. Some of the rioters brought out their own guns, and fire was exchanged.

By the end of the riot, 109 lay dead in Queen Samantha “The Peacemaker” Square.

By the end of the riot, 109 lay dead in Queen Samantha “The Peacemaker” Square.

Death in Queen Samantha Square
Dang, Charlie had seen his fair share of protests in his life, but it wasn't that often he got to see such a brutal crackdown of it. When was the last time that such a grand crackdown had happened? Half a decade...one decade ago? He thought he'd gotten used to all the revolutions, seeing how Arcadisia had those nonstop back when he was much younger, but dang, he didn't remember it being THIS bloody. Well, he didn't remember them at all considering he was like three at the time, so there was that.
A strange Arcadisian man was seen surveying the corpses. There it was, the one with the expensive jewelry! He carried upon him three gems, all of immense value. He'd seen it before. Also possibly a double agent for Calarim, though the more he thought of it, though it seemed rather faulty now considering he hadn't really talked to anyone from Calarim in quite some time. Still suspicious, so he decided to follow up on the trail. The man quickly put away a strange looking object and put it in his pocket. Strange, what could that be?
A few hours passed, the man heading for a large passenger vessel. He took a close look at the ship. Interesting. He quickly ran over to a kiosk, and ordered tickets for the vessel. Back at sea again it seems. He wondered where it was heading.

Pick
The man held the suitcase in his hand. The diadems of Wiree, eh? These were expensive. Useful for ordering the...necessary materials. He gathered them within his case, which also contained a multitude of gemstones, the most expensive in the world. Hmph, this would bring about what he needed for this whole deal to work.
"A man of no name."
"Does't not die." He turned around the corner. A tan woman backed by a man, presumably her lover, stood by the area.
"Codename, Pick."
"Codename, Spad Dos." the woman replied.
"Codename, Spad Uno" the man said.
"I have the necessary materials within this suitcase. For our funds."
"Good. The second plan can then proceed. Version two shall bring a new world."
"For salvation." Pick said.
"For salvation." the two Spads said.

Charlie peered at the three people from the ship. It was mighty strange of such an interesting assortment of people to meet, but...he could make a lot of money off of this, right? Just steal the gems. Give most of them plus the diadem to the government, and save one for himself so he could retire rich and sound...

Miu Invasion
1/10
South Border

James P. Volta popped up and fired a shot over his dugout. He and his unit 1/10, have been pushing back the Mu'yan Imperialists for days, according to the map that 1/10 platoon commander has. They have pushed right into where the border with the South Shogun meets Miu. James saw a grenade arc across the overhead canopy, striking a couple of leaves and then falling into the enemy trenches. The grenade detonated, throwing dirt, and dead bodies up in the air. The heavy forest prevented a tank from getting through, however, a light tank has crawled it's way out and started mowing down the enemy. Iserkian Machine Gunfire also forced the Mius back. More Iserkian soldiers fed in. The Miu's were cornered, sandwiched between the Reformists and Iserkian elements. And limited access to food, the Miu' had no choice but to flee. The Iserkian soldiers gave chase, some being cut down from potshots by the enemy. The larger and more powerful Iserkian force broke free of the forest, 1/10 could've kept chasing the enemy as the other platoon did. But now, they have to move 10 tanks, and 15 light tanks through a dense forest, with insects and other creepy crawlies. The would have to always have scouts and guard troops. And the groups will have to move extremely slowly. James sighed, all the other platoons got fun short invasions while he got, a dense forest, and a very angry commander.

Matsrakia

12th-17th March of 1921: Oberl'nd, The miu dynasty.
"The Unsung War" Part 1

Matsrakia was at war again.... Not even a Year after the end of the Great War Herr President ordered the Rijkswehr in the Miu'an Teritory of Oberl'nd. Miu Had blowed in a major Civil-War after a Succesion crisis. Seing the Oportunity of establishing a Friendly state to the north, The President Alkrion Ustio Kajlio Van Harlem ordered the MSSB To Equip the NAMA, a Rogue Military Cell that now is knowed under the name of the Shogunate. When they finaly revolted the orders given to the Military by president were simple: ATTACK!.

The Presidency knowed that Manpower will not be on His side, thus they convened with Iserk to partition the lands of Miu.

The 12th of February was the Grand-Day: 200,000 Grenadiers and 30,000 Rijkprotektors were given the order to Occupy Oberl'nd and Invade Reformist held Teritories.

The Grenadiers were divided in 3 Groups: 1st Panzer Group ; the 2nd Groot Leger and the 1st Groot Leger.
At 1:00PM, the 12th of March, Thousands of grenadiers entered in Miu: No Official Decleration of War was sent.

1st Pz. Group was to form a spearhead with it's armored Elements: The 1st ; 12th and 3rd Panzer Division and the 11th Panzergrenadier division: 50,000 Men at the front. The Groot Leger's were mainly Infantry with Artilery and Cavalry: 150,000 Men. All of the profesional Army engaged were Great War Veterans.

The 1st Groot Leger was composed of the: 12/21/22/967th- Volksgrenadiers Divisions and by the mighty Semi-Cavalry 12th Großherzogtums Grenadiers. The 1st GL was composed by 75,000 Men.

Yhe 2nd Groot Leger was composed of Große Rijk Grenadiers: The 223/244/1/787th Großerijk Grenadiers and by the Mighty 1st Kijolijägers Division. 75,000 Men in total.

The 12th they entered in the 1st Village, the Inhabitants were confused until the Rijkprotektors arrived and rounded up Communists and Reformists Preachers. Between The 13th and 17th they Captured a lot of land but were stuck at Lee's Pass between the 13th and 17th of March: It appears to them that 'United Front' formed in the city and posed a great opposition to the Rijkswehr until the Luchtmacht Arrived.

Lee's Pass was Destroyed at 75% after releting Bombardements from Ar.555DVB the lastest Dive Bomber from Matsrakia company: The Arado Industrial Group. The Railroads were spared by the Fightings and Bombings given now a Highway to the Troops to invade deeply and threatening the Reformist Capital.

General-Grenadier Ronkksxadt Ordered Panzer-Leutnat Kardirian to roam North to the Reformists Capital. The Kijolijägers Also Invaded a Bit of the Neighboring region of Oberl'nd: Aspiri' to permit a Second Spearhead.

Greater Niagara agreed to send 3 Expeditionary forces: the Niagaran Expeditionary Force ; New Niagara Expeditionary Force and the Niagaran Raj Expeditionary Force doubling by itself the Number of Soldiers deployed in Miu. Caloy also agreed on sending a EF.

As the 17th ended, Oberl'nd was almost fully Occupied with now a Armored Spearhead driving to the Reformist Capital. The Luchtmacht received orders to Bomb the Reformist Capital to the Ground.

Oberl'nd was the first major victory in this war that Many Matsrakians start to refere to it as The Unsung War since the National Press, even the State-Jornals don't talk about it as much.

Amsterdam, The Capitol.

The Great Appeal - March 15, 1921

It was late in the evening on March 15, 1921. Deciding to take full advantage of the peace and quiet afforded to him by the hills surrounding the papal fortress of Mont Sant’Michel, His Holiness went for a stroll alone in the gardens, guided only by the soft light of the setting sun. He walked slowly and silently along a white-brick path overgrown with moss and grass surrounded by blossoming daffodils and barren orange trees. The setting sun only enhanced the beauty of the valley below him as vibrant hues of violet, vermilion, and marigold spread their glorious light upon the farms and rooftops which comprised the village of Gamforla. For a moment the world seemed to be at peace as every care and heavy burden slipped off his shoulders and tumbled down the side of the hill upon which his fortress sat.

Innocent breathed a sigh of relief. He had finally found some escape from his daily duties as Supreme Pontiff of the Mother Church.

“Your Holiness!” Came a shrill voice not even a moment later. So much for that peace. Innocent turned around, his white cassock rippling gently in the wind. To his annoyance the voice belonged to Father Vento who oversaw communications to and from the fortress. Innocent despised Vento for his voice and lack of intelligence. The only thing that the man was good for was target practice. “Your Holiness!” Vento exclaimed again as he entered the pope’s presence.

“What do you want?” Innocent demanded, more than frustrated that Vento would disobey his orders to be left alone as he walked in the garden.

Father Vento swallowed hard. “Forgive me for the intrusion, Holy Father, but we have just received a telegram forwarded from Reema addressed to you from Matsrakia. The contents,” he held up the telegram, “the contents are alarming.”

Innocent snatched the telegram from Father Vento, the frustration he felt suddenly being replaced with anger as he read the insulting message from the Matsrakian president. Without saying a word, Innocent ripped the telegram in half and stormed back up to the fortress with Father Vento in toe. Understanding that an angry response would only worsen the unjust situation, the pope elected to wait until the following morning to write the following letter to a different leader:

To His Most Serene Reigning Majesty, Matthew, Third of His Name, King and Emperor of Greater Niagara,

Greetings,

I write to you in dire need of your help and support. While in the past our two nations have often fought against each other - if not physically then spiritually - it is my goal and determination to see peace and fellowship reign in our nation’s relations during my tenure as pope. I understand that you and Matsrakia have close relations, so close in fact that you could consider their former leader as family, but President Van Harlem is not that leader. He is a warmonger who threatens the peace and stability of the world, a peace that your men, your fighting young men, fought hard and died for.

I ask that you not let their valiant sacrifice go in vain. Aid me, aid Christendom, honor their sacrifice, your sacrifice, and protect the Holy Land that my predecessors and I have guarded for so long. I will not fight Matsrakia for I do not desire conflict. I doubt that you want for there to be a renewed state of war as well, one that will no doubt spiral and threaten your glorious empire more so than the last one.

We are weak, Your Majesty, we cannot fight. I implore you, honor your victorious dead, your valiant dead, protect the peace that you have earned and join me in condemning Matsrakia’s imperial ambitions. You know and understand the importance of the ports the papacy holds across the globe. As equal members of the International Commercial Union you know that a loss of even one of those ports threatens the international trade that we enjoy and benefit from.

Come to the rescue of the papacy and be declared a “Protector of Christendom.” A title so righteous and prestigious, so befitting of your magnificent and magnanimous position as King of Greater Niagara. Rescue me and I shall name Cardinal Peter Telmachi, skilled and honored by his piety, as Cardinal Secretary of State. This being a position second only to me in administrative duties concerning the papacy and the Papal States. Help my defenseless nation and earn your place as a saint above saints.

We are your humble servants,
Signed,
Pope Innocent XIV

Barring the Shogunate, all sides met in the city of Asfuss to discuss a ceasefire, and after 12 hours of debate by all sides, a treaty has finally been signed by all, marking a pause to the civil war in retaliation to the invasions by Iserk and Matsrakia. That evening, as the war horns blared from the city hall where the treaty was signed, the ambassadors left for their homes, and the generals rallied their men toward the borders of their new enemies and took off on horseback.

As everyone knew in the Dynasty, this is no longer a war about reform, it is now a war for the independence of all Mu'yan people.

Dakzig Port
The First wave of the Calian Expeditionary force arrived in port. This first wave consisting of 15,000 troops with 32 artillery pieces 38 trucks and 24 armored cars. The first to exit the ship was the commanding officer of the Calian Expeditionary Force Coronel Christopher Guverra. Guverra and his staff walked over to the crowd of locals gathered with a translator.

He began speaking in Calian with his translator repeating in the local language of Matsrakia “Good evening, I am Colonel Guverra of the Calian Republican Army.” He introduced
“In accordance with the wishes of our respective governments, me and my troops have come in support of your nation’s military endeavors.” He then gestured to the ship where a group of young eager Calian troopers in their khaki uniforms began to disembark with their equipment. They marched in organized with their rifles slung behind them.

Private Delgado could hardly speak due to the shock of the sights of this foreign port. His comrades laughed and chatted amongst thenselves as they too observed the foreign country they had just entered. The writting, architecture, and everything about the port was a culture shock to the Calian troops, most of whom including Delgado had never left their home country before. As was the case with the rest of the expeditionary force, Delgado was eager to enter combat. He even had brought along his machete which he had used since he was a child growing up in Western Caloy. He hoped that he wouldn’t have to enter distance to need the blade, but he would be prepared none the less. The expeditionary force was to continue through the town until they could board the trucks and armored cars which had been offloaded earlier. From then on they would continue to the frontlines in order to support the Matsrakian forces.

Matsrakia, Arcadisia, and Iserk

A private letter from Manjong IV of Arcadisia to Tenir II of the The miu dynasty

To Emperor Tenir II,

I am Manjong IV of Arcadisia. I recognize that the nation you currently rule over is under attack by the forces of Matsrakia and Iserk, with the Mu'yan peoples in a brave and desperate attempt to fight for the survival of their homeland. I too, am under attack from the nation of Calarim, and I recognize the struggles of your people as noble and just. I am sorry that I could not be of any help, but Matsrakia and Iserk are currently my allies in our war, and I cannot afford to antagonize them.
I am also aware that Prime Minister Geun is close friends with both Matsrakia and Iserk, thus would not smile upon me writing such a letter, but I felt it had to be done, in the face of such injustice. Even now, I fear I will find Geun peering over my shoulder, and admonish me for daring to write such a thing. I know I am but his puppet, able to be removed by his beck and call at any moment to be replaced with a more obedient puppet, and I wish, from the bottom of my heart, that you will never face the same fate as me.
I am sorry I cannot write for long. I suspect my guards spy on me for Geun, and he will be furious if he finds me talking to the enemies of Matsrakia and Iserk. Farewell, and I wish your nation luck. I fight alongside you in spirit, and I hope you do the same. I cannot tell Geun, but I secretly pray for the victory of your people as well as mine.

High Command was relieved, Caloy expeditionary Force arrived at Dakzig and started to be transfered to Oberl'nd. The High Command ordered the full Mobilisation of the Profesional Corps: 100,000 More Grenadiers are being Mobilised in 3rd Groot Leger.

United Front

The Oberl'nd Counteroffensive

March 19-21st, 1921

A relatively new addition to warfare, tanks are a force to be reckoned with, and while the Matsrakian panzer divisions could swiftly cut through the Dynasty's lands, they were stopped dead in their tracks by the newly formed United Front. After a swift counteroffensive forcing the panzer division out of Yuyi, they were forced to retreat into Oberl'nd. Undeterred, General Varnas of Exonia ordered a second counteroffensive into Lee's pass, the heart of Oberl'nd and a vital city for trade passing through the Rutland mountains, hoping to seize the city and encircle the divisions in the north. As the battle plans were drawn out, all wondered if such an attack will succeed, and if so, if it can give the United Front an advantage over Matsrakia.

King Matthew sighed. He hadn't had to do this since his father put him in the Foreign Office many years ago. But still, the contents of the message from Vranastrova dictated that Matthew himself reply.

Well, best to be about it.

Matthew III, By Grace of God, of the Kingdom of Greater Niagara and All its Realms King, Emperor of Raj

To His Holiness Pope Innocent XIV,

Greetings,

We have received your message regarding the future of Vranstrova. After much talk between our two nations, and the death of President Van Harlem, Matsrakia has decided to hold peace talks with the Papal states instead of an invasion. As the situation has resolved, the government has requested that the following terms be met:

-The granting of free passage of all Niagaran naval vessels into all papal ports.
-The creation of permanent naval bases in three papal ports.
-Organization of a papal visit to Greater Niagara.

We humbly await your response,
-Matthew R. I.

A World With No Boundaries
The train landed in the current day Miu Dynasty, where an intense invasion by Matsrakia and Iserk was being planned. Charlie quickly unloaded his suitcase, and ran for the man. After the ship had stopped, the two "Spads" whatever that was, gave the man his suitcase back for "security reasons". Now he just had to buy a ticket to the train. Had they seen him? No, it couldn't be. Charles looked around, seeing the new flag of Miu fly. However, this was...I mean, this was a little far from Calarim right? So he wasn't a Calarim spy. Alright. As one from Arcadisia, he felt sympathetic to the Mu'yans, but well, he couldn't really say that too much. Geun had forbidden "anti-government speech" and apparently that included Matsrakia and Iserk.

"Pick, heading to quarter 5." The man started walking around the port, and Charlie closely trailed him. The man walked, turning the corner into a dark alleyway. Charles followed him.
It was a dark alley, musky and dirty. The man took a turn down an even deeper alley. Charles followed him again. And once more, the man took a turn, heading for the deepest, darkest alley Charles had ever seen. He was quite a distance away from the man now, couldn't lose him! But as he turned the corner, he saw no one. It wasn't the dark. Just...no one was there. Just then, he felt a cold, hard, click on the back of his neck, and a piece of cold steel at the back of his spine, right beneath his head.
"Don't bother turning around. It's no use." Charles stayed in place. "You're an Arcadisian spy, huh? How uncivilized, working for a government. Well, at least it's not a Calarim government or somewhere like that." Charlie stood still, not just because he had been told to, but because he was frozen in fear. "Look. Don't investigate us further. You'll only get yourself killed, ya hear?" Charlie nodded. "That's a good boy. Don't worry, you're not losing out on anything by not investigating on us." The man leaned closer. "We don't work with Calarim, ya hear? So there really is nothing to lose." God! His breath stank. "Run along now, before I pump you full of lead." Charlie took a few steps forward. Suddenly, he grabbed the pistol from the man's hands and pulled out his own. Pressing it deep against the man's chest, he fired a shot. He slumped down, dead. Charlie headed deeper into the alleyway, finding a door titled "A World With No Boundaries." Was this the title of the organization? Pistol in hand, he slowly opened the door and peered inside.
