"BRING US TO HIROSHIMA!" As the Prime Minister tries to make his voice sound louder, to make himself heard over the loud noises of the gunshots and the helicopter running.

The spetsnaz jumped inside, turning around and firing at the few zombies on the roofs. A few bullets from the guards on the wall bounced off the helicopter and the side gunner unloaded a small, five second burst into the wall, dust and rubble falling as the helicopter slowly lifted up. The spetsnaz composed himself before turning to the PM and his friend. "Do you have the research? And what's at Hiroshima?" He asked as they flew over Japan, smoke rising into the air from different parts of the country.

The private inside the silo held his rifle close. The federation was falling as the hordes of infected were laying siege to whatever strongholds of the survivors there were. The NEF border was under attack from rioters, rogues, anarchists, and scared people, and now the USSO was declaring war on humanity. Russia would not let this stand. The warheads had been maintained over the years for a long time, and they had been secretly updated throughout the years.

In a coventinal nuclear war, the missiles were armed with not four, but seven nuclear warheads. The warheads would break out inside the upper atmosphere, and they would move to their seperate locations. Seven targets with a single missile, and there were thousands upon thousands in Russia, added with the ones from Latvia, Lower Estonia, Lithuania, and Ukraine, each updated to Russian standard. Of course, with tensions high, the private was afraid that there would be a war. That's when the semi-old Cold War computer began sending a small paragraph.

Orders: Target all USSO nuclear silos and military bases. Target all USSO leadership locations. Target all USSO naval bases. Target all locations for immediately to prevent a nuclear retaliation.

Orders: Recieved.

The private chocked on his coffee as he stood up and read the orders seven times over. No, this wasn't happening. Not now, not when things were going to sh*t. The door to the room burst open and a commander walked in, his forehead glistening with sweat. He looked at the private, breathing heavily. "I...we're doing this. Get the code ready." He said, opening a panel and revealing a series of numbers. The private, with a shaky hand, did the same thing as the both input the same code. 154892311832157, Черный ангел.

Seven targets appeared on a old, staticy map of the USA. A map of nuclear silos of the USSO were marked with a red dot as they confirmed the targets. The radio crackled as the other silos confirmed their orders. "This is Silo 18, preparing to fire to USSO targets. Remember, leave enough to defend against a possible retailation. Fire half. May God help us all." The commander and private both looked at each other as they put their keys inside and twisted at the same time, looking at the red button right next to them.

"These people...is the world ending?" The private asked the commander.

"No, we won't die like this. We're always kicking and surviving, we'll live." He said as his hand hovered above the button. Without another word and a minute of silence, they both pushed the button at the same time. The silo that had sat silent for years roared to life with the engine of the ICBM rising out of the silo.

All across Russia, hundreds of missiles rose into the air and into the atmosphere. Within minutes, they broke apart and the warheads began descending on the USSO silos, bases, naval bases, and any leadership locations that were there. This would be the end of a war before it began, or the beginning of a terrible trade of missiles.

USSO

Before the missiles launched, early warning systems showed the missiles launch, not to mention the USSO had SLBMs available on four nuclear missile capable submarines, however this did little to prevent the already weakened UMPF, managing to only intercept around twenty of the missiles, the rest hitting targets with devastating effect.

<encrypted orders>

“The damage is…severe, the fatherland just got hit with several nuclear weapons, we estimate the damage and deaths to be on the millions.”

“Your mission is to activate NOW protocols and empty your entire chalk on Russian cities.”

<SUBMARINE DYSNOMIA>

“Orders received, we are initiating NOW protocols and targeting industrial and general military sectors.”

“Surface and fire, all chalk prepared!”

“T-10.”

Dysnomia, the flagship of the nuclear program for submarines in the UMNF (United military naval forces) and the four other submarines scattered around the globe proceed to launch their entire compliment of nuclear missiles, almost one hundred total, their targets are industrial and military zones.

I really don't wanna hate, but how would you be able to retaliate when roughly like 2,000 nuclear warheads were aimed at the silos and whatever else had nuclear capabilites? Just wanna know if you had something that saved them or if it was a mere oversight

Submarine ;D
(I have four submarines capable of launching ballistic missiles, and those guys are kept underwater for months at an time, the USSO would be extra cautious to keep at least one active while the others are refueling, especially before declaring war on humanity.)

(Plus, I’m pretty sure you’d be able to not only see but hear the sound of 2,000 nukes going off literally anywhere, as that is ridiculous amount of nukes, you’d make Landbang proud.)

The medical council, which could more accurately be called the war council, was the first time Lashen appeared before the decision makers, since Maria's death. The condolences poured in as soon as he entered the hall. He thanked them, but got them to stop for the time being. There were more pressing matters to discuss.

The Indian situation they feared was about to begin.

It had started with a well off family, that probably got the virus from a Mumbai University student. The family was put down quickly, but the maid was not to be found. In all probability, she was back at her home in the slums.

The minister of health, not good with words but good with statistics, put it properly. "We're looking at hundreds of thousands of infected, within just a few days."

Everyone else were mostly aware of this already, so he continued. "Lockdown doesn't work with the population density in slums. We can try to turn the Mumbai slums into a quarantine center but..."

"It won't work." The Minister of Defense said. "We'll still end up with the same number of infected, and the same rate of infection, in that area. But long before that, we'll end up with a hostile population that will try to break out. That might mean the end of Lankan India."

"We'll have to improvise as we go on." Lashen replied. "First, the most obvious moves; concentrate the army into Maharashtra. Under my orders, you can deploy the reserves, and you can use the entire Mark 1 fleet to monitor the situation, if you need."

The MoD nodded. "I've spoken to the army. They're prepared for deployment already."

"Secondly, we need to immediately begin evacuations."

This decision caused somewhat of a stir. "Sir, you're talking about evacuating a potentially infected population."

"That's not how we'll do it." He turned to the MoH. "The better off people of Mumbai were under lockdown for a week now. Do you think it's enough?"

"Theoretically, we can come to that decision, yes. But the risks involved..."

"The risks involved can be kept to a minimum. I want an immediate evacuation of all areas in the city, and immediate surroundings, that were under proper lockdown up to now. I know we're dealing with hundreds of thousands of people here, but the probability of infection should be minimum."

"Yes sir. And then, we leave the slums to be quarantined?"

"In a way, but I've thought about something somewhat different. As you've said, quarantining them in the slums won't work at all. Instead, why not quarantine them elsewhere. With the initial evacuations, we should concentrate on emptying out all high rise buildings in the city; apartment complexes, office spaces, anything that works."

The director, who had been quiet up to now, spoke. "compartmentalize them. That can help us control the spread more. I suggest using ships in port too, for the purpose. This technique has worked in quarantine zones, and in the universities."

"That is my plan. Yes, the evacuated people will want compensation for their property that will inevitably get damaged..."

"They have a choice between life and death. I don't think we have to worry about that." The MoD said. "The problem is how to properly get them into the empty buildings."

"They'll probably like to have a chance at high living for a while. But you're right, there's no proper way to do it. Gather them up...without wasting time to check for the infection...and compartmentalize. Once we've done that, we can monitor them better and control the spread better."

"This will work, to an extent. I predict that we can evacuate a minimal 50% before the infection spreads for too much among the rest."

"Then you're all authorized to use any and all force required to stop them from getting out of the slum zones."

"And when some, I'd rather say the majority, do get through? Because no matter what we do...the numbers are still in the thousands, and that's if they're lucky."

"We'll have to begin a systematic evacuation of the immediate surroundings. Our priority should be to stop a spread to the south. I grant you permission to take any and all action necessary to keep things that way. And if we can't dispatch of them all, we'll have to drive them away from our lands."

"Drive them north...into Thonada. That scenario might drag us into a war."

"If the king of France can threaten to kill millions of refugees, rather than grant them entry to his nation, I don't think what we do will be noticed much. Either way, we will alert the Thonadan military of a possible spread across the border, which will put them in a much better position to respond. In the ideal situation, the infected will be caught up between out two militaries, and killed. In the non ideal situation, it will be a showing match that we're more likely to win."

The council was quiet for some time so he continued. "I give this as an executive order, and I will bear the responsibility in the worst case scenario. Do you have my agreement?"

"I suggest a little more flexibility."

"That is already done." Lashen replied, to the MoH. "This is a step by step process, and we'll have to change plans as we go, though I hope the changes need only to be minimum. First, evacuation. Second, displacement. Third, control. We don't have time to waste. Is that clear?"

"Yes, sir." The ministers said, standing up. "I'll give the evacuation orders immediately. There are over 300,000 soldiers currently in the area. They should be able to handle it."

The MoH had emergency powers to do so, and Lashen agreed, letting the minister go, though he stopped the MoD for a while. "There's one more thing."

"Authorize the deployment of the Mediterranean Fleet back to Antwerp. They can assist the Diet and NEF authorities with evacuations and...control...while staying relatively out of danger."

"I would advise against it, but..."

"The survival of our allies is only slightly less important than our own survival. It is my decision to support the kaiserin. And, there's also the matter of evacuating our own people. CCD staff..."

"Most of them have left Poland by now, to relative safety." The director answered. "The staff in Saint Petersburg are still there but, with the collapse of the Scandinavian government, and will millions reportedly infected in Russia, it's best if they evacuate as soon as possible."

"Use the navy for that purpose. We can move them to quarantine in the Dietsland, and perhaps even Nador. If not, we can sacrifice a couple warships."

The MoD nodded. "I'll give the orders immediately. Will we assist France too, onsidering their situation?"

The president seemed stunned for a moment, as if he had forgotten something extremely important. "Of...of course. Their king acted somewhat unwisely, fleeing his nation without notifying the people enough beforehand. But without him in France, there are others now in danger. I think, if we get the chance, we should move to assist the French royal family." The memories of his last happy talk with Maria were still there, and he would never be able to forgive himself if he didn't do anything to save those children that she loved so much.

"We can decide on a proper course of action once the navy is moved to the north." Another military official who was present said.

Lashen nodded. "Yes. But assisting both the Dietslands and France might be vital for our own victory. I spoke to the kaiserin, and according to her, they would start cure research in Switzerland. Our own research can begin in the Maldives, when we have enough information."

"I agree with that." The MoD replied. "Permission to leave?"

"Be quick." Lashen nodded. "Our largest enemy now is not the virus...but time."

This is actually a strategy I think can actually work. I mean using high rise buildings and such for better quarantine. It's harder for the zombies to leave those, and the number of people in one apartment or similar space is less so the rate of infection will be reduced.

Hundreds of thousands are still going to die though

Malagasy States wrote:I just need brief general rundowns, i do not care about the individual happenings of the character rps T_T

Millions infected in Russia with apparently around 5m refugees trying to enter Western Europe
A lot of dead in Landbang
The French and Diet governments set up Switzerland as their base of operations. The king left France to go there, which naturally didn't go well with the people
Situation in Lanka is still mostly under control though thousands are dead
The Ienovan government is gone

Greetings RMS Valliant.

I have been instructed, on behalf of the President, to deliver nuclear launch codes to you and the remaining fleets of the navy whom posses nuclear warheads.

The targets are the multiple launch sites bringing a great crossing over to the Americas. Something that has the potential to ship millions of infected over to the mainland. These sites are:

Manilla, Samar, Virac, Planan, Shanghai, Taipei, Hong Kong, Macau, Nanjing, Tokyo, Sendai, Kushiro

Why would they sail all the way across the Pacific though? China has a lot of land for the people to run to. Japanese will probably go to Korea. And all the ones taking naval transport will actually chose different destinations like Indonesia, Australia, SEA and even Lankadeepa. I think I'll have to explore that possibility a bit soon.

Japan at this point is very cooked, Indonesia is a bit like China, very densely populated and probably full of Zombies, Australia is a fair point, but they are a much smaller nation and would not be able to fight the Zombies as well as us. Yes, i would think that there would be large amounts of Refugees on boats coming to other nations, but the amount going to us it too much to handle conventionally.

China is densely populated, but they also have a huge amount of free spcae to quarantine and stuff. But Zhongguo needs to be active for that.

As for Australia, that's a huge nation with a tiny (relatively speaking) population. Loads and loads of space for refugees
