Of course the most popular books nowadays is semi fictional, alt reality series featuring female leads that start off weak but become powerful, and a hunk for a secondary lead. Twilight, Mortal Instruments, Hunger Games, Divergent, Vampire Academy, and so on.

The term you are looking for is the "semi-fictional". Anything that didn't actually happen is fiction.

I get the feeling this is Goering to get out of hand.

So who else is following the buzz in the Paleontology world today??

That’s nothing, lol, I was nine when the first Scooby-Doo show was shown.

A thing cannot be "semi-fictional". It is either fiction or nonfiction. I don't see where your confusion is coming from.

Anne Frankly, it needs to stop now.

Parthovia wrote:Yea it's really hard to make it. I think my stuff needs a great bit of improving but others say it's stupendous already. My style of writing, action and adventure; is no longer popular anyway. My style is close to the books I read as a kid and teens. Narnia, Spiderwick Chronicles, the Golden Compass, Game of Thrones, The Last Magician, and my favorite two book series, the Rangers Apprentice and the chronicles of Vladimir Tod.

If ya ever need a cartographer, let me know. There is nothing more I would love then to see my works coming to life and being put to good use.

We already know you predate the steam engine. I was more directing my post at the guy who said Twilight was the current trend in YA novel

Also, I too grew up on Scooby-Doo so rest assured you still have good taste

What I meant by semi fictional was a work set in the real world with fantastical elements added in. Like Twilight, its the real world with vampires added in. Or Harry Potter, the real world with the Wizardry added in. I apologize for the confusion.

That's called realistic fiction not semi-fiction

I feel like at this point Her World has gone beyond parody and is just a strawman of feminist stereotypes

There's a difference between feminism and what some people believe is feminism these days.

Question the First: What kind of nation do you want to be?

#2: What groups of people define your culture?

Is there? Feminism isn't like marxism, there isn't a definitive guide on what feminism is. Trying to change the media's portrayal of women is just as much a part of feminism as trying to supply tampons to girls in the third world.

Specifically Her World's articles seem to focus almost exclusively on Gerda Lerner's brand of feminism (she was the one who got the whole "patriarchy is to blame for everything" ball rolling). She was a fairly well respected writer who had a fairly large impact on feminist thought but is she not a 'real' feminist?

My nation is basically California if you took out all the Mexican and Latino influence and replaced it with Italian. (And a tiny bit French)

I large chunk of my land is extremely diverse and heavy dense population numbers, another part is sprawling agricultural lands for fresh dairy and fruits.
