Stolen Craeperian Bust of Caeso Sexto Calvino Recovered by Ministry of Justice

NUEVO XICHÚTEPA — Earlier today, the Ministry of Justice conducted a raid of a warehouse in Citalá owned by disgraced businessman Leopoldo Gaitán Morelos as a part of the process of seizing his assets following his conviction for embezzlement, money laundering, and tax evasion. Within the warehouse, Ministry of Justice officials recovered several ancient artifacts which were stolen from the Salvador Museum of Imperial History late last year. Among them: a 3rd century marble bust of Caeso Sexto Calvino, who founded the Craeperian Republic in 292 AD; the Tiberio Stone, upon which King Tiberio I wrote his proclamation declaring the establishment of the Craeperian Kingdom; and the Gucumatz Icon, a figurine depicting 1st century BC Iloqutzi hero Gucumatz. The discovery of these and 45 other stolen artifacts will grant the disgraced mayor an additional 48 cases of grand larceny, criminal conspiracy, illicit possession of cultural artifacts, and conspiracy to commit fraud.

Mayor of Las'Cruces Murdered by 52nd Street Gang, Leader Claimed to be Insulted

TUXTLA MARTÍNEZ — Early this morning, the 52nd Street Gang published a video on TuVu where its leader, José Pineda Castro, claimed responsibility for the kidnapping of Julio Rivera Serrano, the newly-appointed mayor of Las'Cruces; Rivera Serrano was appointed by Captain General Federico Herrera Herrera on 3 September of this year. Pineda Castro claimed that the gang kidnapped Rivera Serrano and "executed" him on 10 October. He cited the reason for the "execution" as being "failing to invite" him to Rivera Serrano's 43rd birthday party on 1 October. Pineda Castro claimed that he felt "insulted" and "disrespected" by Rivera Serrano by not being invited to the mayor's birthday party. The gang leader claimed that he had been invited to "several" of the former mayor's (the late Gustavo Jure Quijada) parties and other events. Pineda Castro warned Las'Cruces' next mayor to "immediately" invite him to a "formal dinner". Óscar Leyzaola Guzmán, the chief of police of Zapatista, stated that the Creeperian Imperial Police would conduct a manhunt to capture or kill Pineda Castro.

National Intelligence Directorate Sabotages MRKA Day of Colón Bombing Plot

CÁMARILLO — As celebrations are held across the San Carlos Islands to commemorate the Day of Colón, the anniversary of Cristóbal Colón Cámarillo's discovery of the San Carlos Islands in 1381, the National Intelligence Directorate (DINA) announced that it had foiled a large bomb plot planned by the Kapahu Alana Revolutionary Movement (MRKA). DINA spokesman José Menéndez Valdéz stated that the plot had been identified two weeks ago and that mass raids of MRKA compounds were conducted earlier this morning before any bombs could be detonated. Around 50 pounds of explosives were seized and 8 MRKA fighters were arrested.

Viceroyal Government Plans to Implement Creeperianization in Otssko Issoitahtaan Next

SAN JUAN DIEGO — At noon, Viceroy Ernesto Castro Aldana announced that the Nuevo Amanecer viceroyal government was looking into implementing the imperial-mandated Creeperianization policy in the municipality of Otssko Issoitahtaan, which means "Blue Shore" in the Navaja language. Castro Aldana indicated that it may be renamed to "Punto Sur" — to indicate it as the southernmost point of mainland Creeperopolis — sometime in "the near future". He also indicated that the neighboring municipality of Naato Issoitahtaan, meaning "Sacred Shore", may also have its name Creeperianized. Otssko Issoitahtaan would become the fourth municipality in Creeperopolis to bear the name "Punto Sur" after the municipalities in the San Carlos Islands, San Juan, and San Salvador (actually located in Adolfo III Land, Tierrasur). Otssko Issoitahtaan would also become the 12th municipality to undergo Creeperianization.
