“Firstly, the embassy situation. I’m sure we can come to a compromise.” Ah. Compromise. So they have concerns. Of course they are. They should be, facing you. “To start with, you will of course be allowed to establish an embassy of your own.” Ah, good. That’s not the issue then. It’s obvious what it will be. They don’t trust you to be nice to their ambassadors. And why should they? Shut up, I know, I know. “However, I would like the request that we continue these talks in further detail later in regards to your demands for complete autonomy over our diplomats.” There it is. Will you compromise? I- You shouldn’t. You’re the Supreme Overlady of All Reality. A self-made goddess. You deserve total control over your own second paradise, do you not? That...may not be practical. Does it matter? Yes! “While the request is definitely understandable, it is liable to cause problems as differences in culture come to light.” She has a point. This is your world. Don’t allow another to enforce their own rules upon it. You are a warrior, a ruler, a goddess, not a servant to whims of those who believe themselves your superiors.

“As for my ears, they are indeed natural, some genetic offshoot from centuries back.” Mira waved her hand, seemingly in dismissal. And too did she seem to dismiss Aozora’s requests for personal information. It seemed this diplomat was professional. A shame, really. No matter. It should not be expected for all we encounter to be as emotional as our first visitors. She will serve you all the same, should you twist her properly. What is it with you and bending wills? It’s a sensible desire. “And as to our government? Yes, it is democratic, although suffrage is only granted to those who have served in the military.” A militaristic democracy. Never a promising combination. Let’s hope they don’t try to “liberate” us in the future… “You may feel as though being sole ruler is empowering, but it tends to lead to the ruin of a nation when the ruler dies.” Sometimes...sometimes you don’t even need to die, to have that…problem…Oh, come on! Focus! Shut up! “The survival and honour of the Columbian Nation is more important than the lives of anyone, up to and including the Primarch.” So they value the group over the individual...good to know.

Aozora took a moment to determine her course of action. To begin, she would explain her own ideology to an extent. Then, she needed to discuss the embassy problem. Finally...international relations. With so many visitors to take note of, Aozora needed to work out how they all connected, how to use one against the other, and avoid in turn being used for the same purpose. “Your concerns are valid ones. I suppose I’ve always considered democracy to be quite...self-defeating. It divides nations, and such disorder is a most unfortunate occurrence. Here, there is no such division. I am, after all, revered as a goddess.” To enhance her point, she focused, extending her left ar, outward and facing her palm upward. Moments later, a purple flame erupted from it, until Aozora elected to extinguish it. It was a brief demonstration, but she hoped to prove that her power was indeed considerable.

“And as I seek order, and consider this to be my realm, I do become rather paranoid that any kind of diplomatic protections may be, shall we say, abused. I do understand your concerns. But I assure you, they are unfounded. Surely, the establishment of such essential diplomatic infrastructure would outweigh the insignificant risk to a mere a few individuals, would it not? Speaking of diplomacy, I am most curious. As you may know, I’ve received other visitors from lands near my own, lands which claim astronomical power. I wonder...what do you think of them? I’ve heard quite a few claims of their influence and strength. Perhaps you would be willing to expose if any such proclamations are deceptions?”

Mira watched, a polite smile on her face, as Aozora began to talk again. "Your concerns are valid ones. I suppose I’ve always considered democracy to be quite...self-defeating. It divides nations, and such disorder is a most unfortunate occurrence. Here, there is no such division. I am, after all, revered as a goddess.” At that, the woman extended her arm, bathing her hand in a purple flame. The polite smile still firmly affixed to her face, she studied the flame in detail. Intel was at the least partially correct. At the very least, Aozora, if not the whole population, possesses some form of Psionic abilities. Further information will be required to determine their strength and prevalence. Pushing the matter of Psionics to the side, Mira returned her attention fully to the woman in front of her.

“And as I seek order, and consider this to be my realm, I do become rather paranoid that any kind of diplomatic protections may be, shall we say, abused. I do understand your concerns. But I assure you, they are unfounded. Surely, the establishment of such essential diplomatic infrastructure would outweigh the insignificant risk to a mere a few individuals, would it not?" She is right, we do have to establish diplomatic relations, no matter the cost. Besides, it would be myself that I am putting in danger... Giving a slight nod of acknowledgment, she continued listening. "Speaking of diplomacy, I am most curious. As you may know, I’ve received other visitors from lands near my own, lands which claim astronomical power. I wonder...what do you think of them? I’ve heard quite a few claims of their influence and strength. Perhaps you would be willing to expose if any such proclamations are deceptions?” Likely referring to Charity, I doubt that anyone could ever mistake the NUSSR a threat, considering that hulk of a 'battleship' they have floating out there looks liable to fall to pieces any second now...

Taking a minute to ensure that the woman had finished talking, Mira began to speak, careful to blunt the brutal honesty that so often got Columbians into trouble abroad. "Well, you may style yourself a goddess, a beggar, or a man; it does not matter to me. If you feel as though ruling your own nation through complete and total control, so be it. We will not interfere so long as it does not affect the citizens of Columbia or her allies. Our system has worked for centuries, so we trust it well enough. As for the matter of diplomatic immunity..." Mira takes a moment to pace, appearing to be thinking. "I will be willing to compromise. As I will be Columbia's first delegate to your embassy, I would be willing to submit myself to your terms, and I will ensure that my staff is willing to volunteer to do the same. However, once my tenure as ambassador comes to an end, these terms will be renegotiated, assuming that my performance as ambassador is satisfactory."

"As for The angel of charity, as I said, Columbians are an honest people. I will not try to downplay their power to make our own seem more impressive. They are without a doubt the strongest Oriental nation, which is no small claim. By themselves, they are not extraordinarily powerful. However, their 'allies,'" at that word she made air quotes, her face betraying the slightest hint of irritation, "by which, I mean their puppet states, bring them almost to the same level as several of the major world powers, though not quite to that of Nova-Columbia."
