Greatest cofrienolls wrote:Ai'leth was back in his house in Verdrassil, concerned about the state of things. 'That courier...' he thought 'there is no way he could have entered Verdrassil without using some dark magic. The barrier of golden light I constructed was too powerful.' he began to fret. "That was no courier! Now I remember." he said out loud with alarm, "Khalil is in great danger." At once, the old haggard wizard began to assemble his things - the crown of Verdrassil, the Staff of the Forest, and the robes he so often wore. Grey robes. He set off at once, calling a great deer to his side and galloping out the forest. As he reached the Forest edge, he murmured to himself - "First time I leave here in what, forty-seven hundred years..." He opened the barrier in a small place and close it behind him. Strengthening the barrier with thorns and vines grown around the region, he sent the deer back in and set off by horse. He set off, looking at the vast mountains, and then those great and beautiful plains of nature that beheld him in the distance.

He was barely three hours off by horse before he came to a small encampment of Shoshone tribes. The old wizard stopped to take a look at the teepees, so carefully constructed and made from buffalo hide and painted in red, brown, and yellow. Then he looked to their horses, seeing their beautiful white and brown patterns. Finally, he looked at the arrows they were shooting at him. It was then he decided to turn his horse back, going to a safe distance before yelling to them in their tongue that he was not Aran, and no enemy, simply a man looking for a lost friend. The men and women of the tribe took to him with suspicion, but at once, sensing their fear, he summoned great vines from the ground, and a green light fro his staff. With haste, their expressions changed to awe and wonder, taking this man into their small skin teepee tents, treating him to food and drink. Then a young man broke the nervous silence “Ashoi petu kasaba I’letha?” he said. Without hesitation, Ai’leth responded “Isu, Ashoiui petu I’letha” initially shocked the child knew his name, it came to be clear that in his absence from the times when he had rode the plains in grandeur, showing his power, that he had become a legend amoung the Shoshone people - I’letha uoi Oupa or Ai’leth the Grey.

Sensing a possible companion on his lonely journey, he recruited the young man to join him in his great journey. The man’s name was Ipasuwaea.

Meanwhile, the Triduquian Confederacy Fellowship of Verdrasil was making their way across the Ice Mountains of the North to the Walled City of Sonindia when a light shone through the sky in more glory than anything they had seen before. The star was over a small town across the ocean - Bethlehem - and there was another, over Ou'oot, a small settlement on the southern coast of Nuunat, and suddenly, in the south, the advances of the darkness stopped, all of their kind falling to the ground or freezing where they stood. Unsure what the stars meant, they spoke of many things, settling for the night as they realized that great evil had subsided. A great moot was held on this frigid mountaintop that they had walked to that night on their way to the Walled City., "I say we make for the star in Nuunat - something great must be arriving there soon!" said one Chief, "No, we cannot risk losing this opportunity to make Southwards while the dark creatures are no longer a threat. We must make for the forests of Verdrasil as was already decided! My people are dying!" cried the Chief of the Shoshonei. The cries of anger and desparation lasted long into the night, as the blue woman sat silent near the fireplace. Little did any of them know, a young group of boys in the north of this tribal confederacy already knew what was to happen.

Tridunton wrote:As the band of questers took south, the people of the Northern Triduqian Confederacy Celebrated in their Igloos, for the signs of the Northern lights signified a great change - a heavenly King would be born in the month, under the starry snow, laced with silver soft, and glimmering snowdrops. Under the great light of the North. A group of young friends packed - not more than fourteen years each, to make their way to ones of the places they believed would be significant during the coming.

They were packing their sled dogs...

Tridunton wrote:The boys began to pack their bags, with their sleds. They would make their way to Iu'iit - the land of the light. It would take the months, but they believed they could make it faster. One of the boys - Kui'in - was their moral leader. He had helped the community for ages, and was a great person, and survivor. They sat around the fire the night before the left. They would not see their igloos, nor home for months. But they rejoiced at the thought of seeing the Great Spirit come down to see his people. The people of the world. That night, they sat and spoke of the great adventure ahead of them, the icy glaciers they would face, as well as the snow capped alpine mountains, and flowery fields. Aksala, the land they would traverse, was know for being wild, untamed, and unpopulated. "What will we see there?" asked the youngest, Ai'tha. "We shall see great, awning things. Beautiful things. There shall be nothing that we will forget on on our way. May the Spirit guide us..." said another. They spent the remainder of the night seeing the Northern Lights, and the stars above, talking about the Great Adventure there was ahead with total naivety, as children always do.

As dusk falls upon the coast of Ultior, the sun sinks into the sea. Its blood red rays of light spread across the horizon. The mingled red and orange lights tint the sky with their warm hues. Slowly they darken and give way to night. Darkness covers the oceans and skies.

In the distance a bright star shines. It can be seen by all across the fair land of the Ultioreks. It hangs over a small town. A small town on the other side of the great sea. The town of Bethlehem.

King Louis XVIII looks from his castle, seeing the star in the sky he wished to visit it himself. The Roman Khoth sovereignty (Roman Empire) to the south would inhibit his travels though, so under the guise of night, he set off for Bethlehem with several others on horseback with him, describing the star as a "star of wonder, star of night, star of royal beauty bright. It was westward leading, as we were still proceeding - God guiding us to his perfect light." As they set out that night, the King knew that what he was to do was what was right, going forward with honor and majesty, bringing a gift of Sapphires.

In the Heavenly Kesi Empire the tide suddenly turns. Soldiers fighting the darkness on the frontline are shocked when they all freeze, or shrivel up and die. The spirit beasts of evil receding on the sudden appearance of a star - a great star in the sky. Kesi Soldiers begin to fall on their knees, worshiping the giver of the star. But the Emperor realizes it must be much more, yelling to soldiers "We make for the coast! Prepare my junk, we set sail at once for the star." then he whispered something under his breath, only heard by an aid, "It seems to be steadily growing in brightness, I must be where it hangs over when it reaches its zenith in brightness, and who knows how long that should be..." then, they made for the coast, slicing down the frozen still living dark beasts. They make for the Kesi Coast.

The Emperor in Crassus however, had ideas of his own...

(beautiful post, by the way)

Agasaria wrote:The priests bowed as they left the ornate chamber, and the Emperor looked beyond the stained glass of his throne room as the star shone dimly through the emerald green of dyed glass. He descended the steps and walked toward the towering doors to leave the room. He turned to one of the guards at the exit, issuing a final order "Make sure his Holiness is made aware of this endeavor."

As the Emperor makes his way towards his room that night, he comes out alone on to his personal balcony in the Vatican. Then as he contemplates tomorrows journey, a host of angels appear before him, singing praise to God Most High. "Call not those who are mere people holy, for only God Most High is holy, and his holiness the world, a child will be born in Bethlehem, a star marking where he shall be born indicating that location at which he shall be born to life. Praise to God!" and then the quire of angels left in a flash of light, leaving the Emperor awestruck.

As the army made it to the coast, the Emperor walked to a ledge, what could be described as a fjord to the west of the ruined docks, alone. As he looked out at the sea he murmured to himself "What a day. The sun is finally setting in the Ancient Kingdom of Kesi Xina Minzu when before the King appears many angels, just as in Agasaria, singing praises to God Most High. "The young Christ, savior of man is to be born in Bethlehem, and he is to who you owe the defeat of the darkness and triumph of the light. The star shines over his birthplace. We ask you to spread the word of the Messiah in Christ, for God Most High wishes to save the world of sin through Him - Christ, the Son of Man." then, with a flash of light, the angels left. Looking skeptical, the Emperor wondered if it was all a hallucination as an aid quickly came, traditionally kowtowing to him. "Did you see a blinding flash of light?" he asked the man. "No, my King." the aid said, still bowing. A look of trouble grew on the face of the Emperor.

The Kesi Emperor fell to his knees, brining his forehead to the ground in kowtow as the angles appeared before him, and as they spoke their message. He was awestruck, it being too much for him to understand. When the aid did first see him, he was astonished to see an Emperor, one who was said to be holy, and never to bow to anything, not only bowing, but kowtowing to some invisible force, and though he did not see this great force, he was sure it must be greater than anything before. The Emperor rose with tears in his eyes, go now. He said to the aid. As he slowly walked through the high grass on his way back to the docks where the junks were located, the aid hit the camp, and rumor of what the Emperor was kowtowing to spread like wildfire. He came back to the camp to silence. A brave soldier stood, kowtowing to him, then asking him merely "Is it true?" the Emperor looked to him. Then back to the junk, and continued on to his junk. They would set sail at once, he commanded. No time could be spared...

The road to Bethlehem, however, would be difficult to tread. The King of Pronalle, Louis XVIII, ordered himself to be dressed in not armour, but the humblest of clothing - beige colored, though of comfortable, and good material. A chest would be brung with an outfit most fine, for him to present himself to the young Christ with. A caravan of his own assembly was created with due speed, the finest horses they would ride on at the highest speeds to reach the star, not knowing what would be there, but knowing it would be laced in glory. Fear of being caught by the Roman Agasarians, who controlled much of the southern territories was prevalent, as they left Pronallea, and entered the land of Occitan, fear caught the party, but as nobles dropped from those who would join the expedition, the King remained seated on his horse, more intent than ever to see what he would find...

Merry Christmas everyone :) ❄️🌟🎄❄️🌲🌟❄️

Its nice to see how people unite in the Christmas Celebration - Christians, Muslims, Hindus, Jews all can celebrate the birth of a prophet, son of God, or reincarnation of Vishnu!

The Emperor has been observing the star for days now, transfixed by its perfect light. Regretting that it is too far for him to go by boat. But a young Nagathar man, Krishnan, sits in a small thatch house by the coast of the Empire. Seeing the star off in the distance shocks him every time he looks that way. He is part of a fishing family, but he has a plan to ask the elders for permission to go off on his families boat with his son, but he must act quickly, as he wants to arrive at the star in time...

Why does the RMB always seem to die when we are RPing? All those who frequent it just stop posting out of fear of disrupting the quality posts or something?
