Greater Westmore

Hello everyone.

So, unfortunately, I don't see myself coming back to TEP within this month, as much as I promised you all. The RAO has voted against my appeal, and as such... yeah. I'm not going to be returning in September. Sorry.

With that unfortunate news, a few things are going to happen and change as time goes on.

If you look at my dispatches list right now, you will notice that I have scrubbed it heavily of any reference to NMWGauze. Yes, I'm retconning 8 months of work (with a very heavy heart.) The ban and everything that has transpired after has severely disrupted the flow that I had going for this story arc, and I don't see any way for me to really come back and pick it up from where I left it off at. On top of that, I've reflected on it, and I've come to the decision that I don't like the way that I have written this story arc - it is too chaotic, and most of it is just things I wanted to do, with it being haphazardly tied into this loose collective of stories with shoddy writing connecting one to another. NMWGauze was quite literally just me being a mad scientist and experimenting with how far I could push my creative skills. But don't worry, I'm going to make it up to you guys, I promise. I already have ideas for stories that I can write in the future, that are hopefully somewhat better.

When I return to roleplaying on Valsora, New Westmore will effectively drop all of its territories and retreat back to its tiny island in the Demetric Ocean. Yes, Krozland, that means you get to keep Darwin and Katherine. Go and fight Ci Arovannea for the eastern lands as well if you really want to. I was already being somewhat unreasonable with trying to keep my lands vacant for a month, but now that I know that I'm going to be away for a very long time there isn't much more that I can do to ensure my lands aren't taken by new or extant players. I pray to god that nobody touches that island I call home, but if somebody does... I dunno, beat them up of convince them to move somewhere else. The external territories I had were also giving me a hard time, especially in lore - example: how the f*ck could Mareuvia be a Nordic country in an Italian region? ANyway, I think retreating back to my island would be better for my worldbuilding and storywriting. Yeah, pixels are nice and all, but come on, I can't live in them now, can I?

The Neuebremen project is going to come back at full force when I return. As I slowly pick up the pieces and rebuild Westmore with a new coat of paint, I'll also be putting much more attention and time into NB's worldbuilding. I may also try to write a story set in its locale as well, since I haven't gotten around to doing a major story arc for that country once. I hate it when worldbuilding isn't utilised in storytelling.

New Westmore is going to be entirely revised and rewritten. I don't like the way I have worldbuilt it right now and I see so many areas of improvement I can work on and build upon. When I come back, this country isn't going to be the same one you last saw in August. Stay tuned and watch my nation regularly if want to see me do updates for the next week or so.

In my real life, things are also speeding up for me. Next week will be my last week of school for the term, and after that I'll be painfully inactive for the next three weeks - why, you may ask? My holiday schedule is very full right now. The first week, I will be at the Australian Army's military base in Northern Victoria for an annual camp my Cadet unit does, and then almost directly after that I will be in the Philippines, visiting various islands like Palawan and Cebu with my family. So, yeah.

OK, so I posted my goodbye message in TEP earlier today, but that's not really all I had to say. I have some more things to get off my chest before I move on from all of this.

So. It finally happened. I am now a distant figure in TEP's past. Woo hoo. I don't see myself ever coming back for a long time. It could be for a few months, just like before. I might be back in 2028. Hell, I might stay banned until the day I die. Either way, I'm not coming back for a long time, and my bags are already packed so, goodbye I guess.

I can't say this enough. I failed you all massively. I know my sense of humour has never been good, but regardless, I still failed you all. If I can say sorry again, I would, but you can only say it so many times before it sounds like a hollow remark.

I want to make this crystal clear now: my sense of humour is cooked, but my moral compass isn't. I may call people r*tarded and the dreaded n word, I might parrot antisemitic conspiracy theories, but I would never do these things unironically. I play it off as ironic humour; I always have and I always will. Don't ever assume that I'm a genuine racist or a homophobe or whatever you want, because I'm none of those things and I don't ever want to be associated with those things. If you don't like me because of my humour, that's okay, you don't have to like me. But I don't want to be framed as any of those things just because you don't like who I am.

So, with that out of the way, what happens now?

NWM and Neuebremen in the East Pacific are dead. I can't force them to come back to life myself. Anyway, for anyone who annexes those nations, please keep my lore intact and don't let the legacy I left behind on the map die. I'd prefer that Ci Arovannea takes over my countries, but you can never plan anything in life.

For the Saheer, it's entirely open season on them. If you want your own to cuddle, abuse or destroy, feel free to introduce them into your nation. I can't dictate how and where they can exist anymore since I'm not really there to do that. Their basic lore and how they came to be is still canon, though. If you have any questions about them, feel free to reach out to me any time. I'd be more than happy to give you what little knowledge I can provide now.

Hybris is going to be temporarily frozen until I can get it back up and running again. How will I do this, you may ask?

Well, I'm building a new region. Until such a time that TEP decides to backflip on the ban and let me back in, I'm going to be residing in Cordone with everyone else who got hit by the hammer. When everything there is set up, I'll be back to telling my stories and creating new worlds, as I always do. Hybris will be set up as one of the main maps of this region, too. If you want to see me complete God's Chosen People and some other works I had planned, or if you want to continue roleplaying on Hybris, feel free to drop by in Cordone. I would love it if you did. I intend for it to be a thriving community, and any newcomers are welcomed in with open arms.

Sarkos Thanks for everything, dude. We may have not had the smoothest relationship but I still enjoyed the time we spent together. If you annex New Westmore, do keep my memory alive.

Mahagura and Vajrastan Yo man, keep being yourself. Lead Yastreovakia to greatness.

Love Peace and Friendship I know you aren't in a good headspace right now. It shows. I don't know what you're going through right now, but I want you to know that it gets better. You are enough, and don't let anyone ever tell you otherwise. You're a great person, and I genuinely hope you realise this too. If you ever need help, don't be afraid to reach out to the community around you - TEP is there for everyone (well, not for me anymore), and they'll help you get through it. I know they will.

Ci Arovannea I f*cked up hard. Please, don't let this affect you too much. I'm still here, and I will always be there for you. I'm trying my hardest to fix myself, I promise you this. I love you more than I could ever write down here, you know that.
