Have you never heard of Top Gear? Or the Grand Tour? Or even Clarkson's Farm? Man, come on, you are missing out on peak British specimen

I've heard of top gear yes, it was a friend from high-schools favorite show

One talks and the one doesn't, but it's still here. As I said to a friend of Europe. I am not willing to pass on any kind of bigotry. Excuse me, I'll be civil about it, but if you can't recognize that every human being is equal, independently of it's race, sexual orientation, religion or whatever, get off my lawn. We're a LGBT-friendly region and we tolerate LGBT-phobes as long as thet are quiet? I disagree, sorry.

*edit, I don't want to lure him into an offence, I am just stating my opinions. Sorry to RI and all the staff if I made it look that way

Everyone is entitle to their opinion as long as they respect the other. Homophobes are not welcome here by any mean. But we must understand that if we want someone to abandon bigotry bullying is not the solution. Nobody here knows Callbout background, he could be from a very religious household or could be a true as*hole, but surely we won't ever understand him nor make him change his ideas by verbal violence and passive aggressiveness. Again, if so many of you feel like he shouldn't be here address US and we'll try to find a solution. Mob rule never works.

I will disagree with the bolded part. Or rather extend it from my experience: without being challenged or bullied, such people also don’t change. Not talking about that one specifically but rather about people in general, at a larger scale

While I do not deny some people change, and I know some good IRL examples, when it comes to online places it’s much easier to pretend [to become a better person]. As for online places I feel it easier to ignore people I dislike for most cases, until triggered again

Thus I try to avoid interacting with calbout and some other players, however, I know you fully realise how I might feel after all what’s been said about “me and my folks” earlier. No mute or modcom punishment erases or fixes it, and there is no real reason to believe something has changed within the person’s mind,

but I do also admit the modcom actions somewhat balanced it mechanically, rule/game-wise, I don’t challenge that part and don’t call for any additional action

Regnum Italiae wrote:Calbout was already punished once. His punishment ended and he's back here. Now, while I can understand why some do not like him for his past endevours perhaps, and I say perhaps, attacking him to lure him to commit an offence is flaming or at least offense solicitation. This has been constant. So can Outer Sparta stop it please? Keep your strenght for when someone actually breaks the rules.
I think that [nation]Einswenn[nation] and [nation]KKoRea[nation] both have some reasons on their side. That being said, instead of causing ruckus here it would be better to address us directly. Okay, I'll drop the matter even if I massively disagree with the decision to keep him for his extensive transgressions in the past and harboring someone known for intolerance.

Maybe he can change and time might prove it right, but I just don't like the look of someone known for homophobia still get a pass even if he's still here on a short leash atm.

…ignoring the fact I’m not a resident here and I can’t call for any action at all xD

Farm subsidies to increase by 500%, Boris Johnson is shot into the Thames with a cannon and France is turned into a lake. Hammond and May both get to be Chancellor. It would be glorious

Speaking of which... here is a question to you all...

During School and University, what were your favorite shows?
Aside of Top Gear and Grand Tour, it was Doctor Who, Downton Abbey, 1986, Conta-me Como Foi, Vento Norte, Fallout... and a lot more

Cuentame como paso? Is that a spanish show or am I having falopa?

Bathera wrote:Mythbusters mostly

Really?

Tonight on Left gear, I shove a car up inside a building, Richard learns to fly, and James becomes captain slow again in the English channel.

Montecrux wrote:Cuentame como paso? Is that a spanish show or am I having falopa?

Spanish and Portuguese versions actually... I watched them both

Damn... I only graduated from University in 2022... and had to stop by Master's Degree by the reason I once wrote here

My own experience tells me the contrary but that is the point, personal experience. I'm not a persecuted minority so I won't ever be able to understand it fully but my role calls me to be impartial and act by the law even if I would personally act differently. I hope that I made clear this region's stand on the matter and that I deeply hope we can improve things. Something I'm adamant about is what kind of behaviour won't make it work.

Oh you meant university, I tried that but it wasn't the right thing for me at the time, and then I ended up moving states and then covid so yeah...

NorthPortugal wrote:Oh god... May in a helm of a ship... we all know how that went

well it worked in the lake... Not so much the channel

Cheesystan wrote:You're a citizen of Europe in everyones hearts

That warms up my heart

Understandable actually... most people do not go to university right away

Sloventa wrote:well it worked in the lake... Not so much the channel

The Toyboata did work on the lake... sort off

And worked perfect on the Channel
