I’d honestly take that over USA. The welfare pros outweigh the tax cons. (In my opinion of course.)

Greater Icelandia wrote:Interesting. How much multiple choice? I had like 5-15 multiple choice and then 2 paragraphs/essays (depending on the grade level)

In a science exam, there are like 30 multiple choice and 5 paragraphs.

Velaland wrote:No they don’t, I also want to teach America’s faults, the nazis would glorify Germany’s faults

They should be told about the (whole) facts and think about the subject themselves.

3: Well, the Industrial Revolution did contribute substantially to shaping how schools are now (in the UK and USA, at least)
4: That's good, at least they speak humanity.
5: That's exactly what I've been saying.

A pure Teacher to Student Lecture System is really bad.

Velaland wrote:Ok, but even if not you should still be a little thankful to live here, imagine living in North Korea

The US is way better than North Korea or Nazi Germany. However, it is less distant than most people would like.

For example in Denmark the burgers at McDonald’s are only marginally more expensive yet the employees have much higher wages and much more benefits.

Ew... Privatized healthcare *vomits*

Honestly the quote from Mark Twain isn’t entirely accurate. True patriotism is different. But what Mark Twain is talking about is what people in US consider “patriotism”.

I just watched that video. I’ve noticed some examples of correlation is not causation. Supply and Demand doesn’t always work as you expect.

Yes. I summarize it as

Capitalism

That video is completely American centric, if that were truly the reason why is UK healthcare much cheaper?

South Korea has Universal Healthcare while a significant portion is private funded. (It is ranked as one of the best in the world)

Imo the system is better than America's private system and a fully government-funded one.

The government part is really accurate though :P

I'd say "for-profit".

Plus it expects those who already can’t afford medical care to pay for Medicaid and Medicare. There’s a reason people want to tax the rich, not the poor.

I mean isn’t capitalism “for-profit”. That’s quite literally the point.

Capitalism is just another way of saying "haha the poor don't matter"
