If Stalin had been a dictator, he would have deprived non-party members of the right to attend the Congress of Soviets. If he was a dictator, why did he make free education free easier to rule the uneducated In the USSR, there was a dictatorship, but not of the group of capitalists, but of the proletariat. Stalin's USSR achieved socialism and was moving towards communism.
That's a false equation. He was a dictator. Just because he didn't totally deprive everybody of their rights does not mean he....wasn't a dictator. A dictator can do as they please. Sorry, am I misunderstanding something here? He literally was repressive. That is not debated and there is no need to rewrite history here.
He did not achieve socialism. There was still a class of elites within the party that were extremely privileged. Also, the economy under him suffered. He neglected everything except industrialization. A lot of people died. To each according to their need, right? There was a lot of need that was unmet. Stalin was a corruption of Marxism.
He just left to another region after having that conversation…
