You'd need to develop the capability to produce fighters for your company before designing one. If that's your plan that is.

When you play as a country you can harness the full capability of your nation in all areas, even then not all countries can do everything(I don't think Iran could produce a new fourth gen jet rn let alone a fifth gen). So you have to rp development towards that capability.

When you're playing as a company your inheritantly more limited as companies are far smaller in scope. So you have to develop a lot more if you want to move into other sectors.

Even then a lot of the production will be done with other companies and if you were to lean into that then you could just design the jet say and let other companies produce it. Which means you don't need to develop your company as much but it also comes with disadvantages like less profit or compromises in design.

I mean I already have a factory in Russia that Mider Borody gave me and I'm like 90% sure I've already RPed starting to set it up, I'm sure Russia would help either way
