I watched the ships jump to Hyperspace, i doubted it was far, the Matrix had computed that the Inwitt wouldn't simply cut and run. I ordered the fleet to resume its attack on the planet and upon looking at the scans i could see the resource fleet had already left the planetary system. Our mission was simple to draw the Inwitt forces to this system, devastate this system and then leave with minimal losses as possible. It was then that i noticed the bomb left by the Inwitt just as it went off.

The bomb destroyed the fighters close to it and seriously damaged the second wave fighters. As for the Basestars, my been closest but still some distance took the brunt of the blast. Sensors showed that a number of systems had been damaged, with nearly a 3rd of our armament where no longer functional until repairs had taken place, meanwhile there were high amounts of radiation being reported throw-out the ship, which in itself wasn't harmful to us but we had to ensure that vital systems where shielded against it.

As such i ordered with withdrawal of ground forces and ordered full ship to surface bombardment, with most of the planetary anti ship guns no longer functional it would enable us to launch a quick and swift attack on the planet. Though i doubted that unless we concentrated fire on the cities shielding we would penetrate it to destroy the cities. Though the attack on the less defended settlements and on the surface as well would render the planet less hospitable for habitation.

I also assigned the withdrawal of our forces to take place in 5 hours and all ships were to remain vigilant for those Inwitt vessels that had jumped away. I estimated that our ship would be ready for Hyperspace within 10 hours and as such tasked a two Basestars to stay with us until we could jump. For the glory of the Cylon Empire.

3 hours after engagment near Kronos

Helvegarius Androlaris looked through the holo screens at what was the warp, the strange alternate dimension that they used to traverse the void. He stood there his hands behind his back, proudly in his white golden armor marking him as a Rear Admiral. Helvegarius Androlaris was a Taung that had seen much, he was old yet still stood at a height of 260 cm he was tall always had been, he had fought in the swarm wars and it seemed to him at least that they were soon to enter conflict with what might be a Swarm successor. His golden eyes turned towards a holographic display, it showed the current status of the 7th Frontier group and its 6 heavy cruisers, 2 dreadnoughts,7 Battle-Cruisers, 2 carriers, 23 Frigates. He stood to abord the EEFS Coraxius a Dreadnought and a powerful one and he had ordered the entire group to be ready to engage the enemy the moment they dropped out of the warp. They had been closer than central command through and had made full speed towards Kronos the goal of securing the system and eradicating the possible Swarm infestation.

It was within 10 minutes of him getting the sign that all the ships were ready for battle after all the fighters were ready to launch, drop ships ready to deploy, drop pods ready to drop, frigates ready to spread out, and the carriers and their groups ready to deploy their fighters and onboard corvettes. That the 7th frontier group exited the warm and at that moment the scans tapped into the data network and gathered immediately all the data that all Inwitt assets had gathered upon the enemy. They had dropped near the planet of Kronos yet on the other side of the planet than the strange invaders. This was done with a simple intention and as planned two wolfpacks, 4 frigates reached began to move away from the fleet and enter into the warp for a small micro-jump to start attacking the ships in the outer systems. While the carriers remained behind with their escorts and had deployed their onboard frigates. Thus the forces that remained were the Cruisers, Dreadnoughts, and Battle-Cruisers that now would begin approaching the unknown forces on the other side of the planet. Thus while those forces numbering in total some 15 heavily armed warships supported by 8 frigates and heavy bomber escorts, these ships all designed after the swarm wars were heavily shielded had extensive and advanced point defense system consisting of electrochemically fired heavy repeater bolter point defense systems a grid of missile defense systems amongst others. While in total the force that was now approaching the unknown Xenos threat in typical Inwitt fashion carried enough firepower to flatten entire continents in mere minutes.

While the smaller group of 23 warships began to move towards the unknown threat from the Bastion class battle carrier dozens of dropships began to be deployed towards Kronos itself. These dropships were medium-sized and in total carried 3400 crusader marines heavily armed and supported by their heavy wear suits and combat walkers and tanks this force was not meant to recapture the planet but rather to conduct a pointed assault towards the largest force of enemies detected.

Whatever the result was of what was to come one thing remained very clear that the Enclaves would not let Xenos roam free inside their borders or book any threat from them. Whoever had attacked was about to face the wrath of a battle group, a formation that had been responsible for the extermination of entire systems during the swarm wars.
