Photobucket sücks. <insert angry emoticon>

--------

My left eye has been twitching for over 4 weeks. A GP doctor saw two white dots inside the lower eyelid. They are just pin sized but have a bit of a bump to them. We don't know what they are but I have an appointment to see an ophthalmologist (sp) next Wednesday.... wish me luck my friends. I think I'm actually a bit worried. I wasn't as worried when I underwent surgery on my spine.

Enough about me. How is everyone recently?

Might be clogged pores...

lol people use photobucket in 2020? They must use it for their Myspace pics.

BTW Neopac, Thembria and others who are in the US, if you have trouble finding face masks and stuff and need them to stay safe, let me know. Stock is available in Australia now.

NeoPacificus wrote:lol people use photobucket in 2020? They must use it for their Myspace pics.

I used it when the region/forum was set up. At the time there weren't a lot of choices. Over the years I've uploaded hundreds of pics up there, and there were too many to relocate to the server when photbucket turned evil a few years ago.

If it's clogged pores ive had them. They're just annoying. But i guess we have to wait for the true diagnosis from  the experts

I have a few saved up. Work requires wearing a mask now which surprises meas you'd think masks would have already been mandatory in a chicken plant.. It took a pandemic for us to be like "Oh germs! I forgot about those!"

I've sneezed on so much chicken in my lifetime..

Corona virus also means we can't cling to each other and I can't sleep on peoples heads or in GRO pocket anymore.. so now I have to sleep in the open to assure social distancing. With this I've felt vulnerable so I'm evolving to have more guns and defense mechanism.. While picking up tiny Thembrias use to be easy for many years the pandemic has made them evolve.. Now they have stingers! We already developed wings many years ago but now we need stingers too.. Also louder squeaks to alert the hive of capture when picked up.. distress squeaks!

Goodness I hate wearing masks at work. Having them on for 40 hours a week is bad enough however I work at a fast food place on fries next to those lamps and the fry vats. What's even worse is that the uniform is completely black and I live in the deep south.

Poet Laureate Competition

June brought around the XKI Poet Laureate Competition where the region's finest poet's faced off on the topic of 'anger', aiming for the best poem on the topic in any form or style. The winner of this competition was Liberdon and their poem, The Storm's Wrath, is featured below:

The Storm’s Wrath

The midnight sea lay still
Until a wind started to blow
And silence fell to a shrill
And once calm waves began to grow

Far above foaming dark
Rested thatched roofs and clay walls
Nestled in straw, a lark
All unaware as the wind calls

Higher! Higher! the waves howl
Leaping, lashing the salty rock
Suddenly the skies growl
Tick, tock, tick says the clock

Crash! A terrible sound
Waves strike and tear, unleashing wrath
Bash! Bang! Roar! the waves bound
Forgetting caution, the waves scathe

Wind grows weary and dies
Waves calm and recede to the sea
Morning dawns on clear skies
But on wreckage and debris

But do not despair, for
The storm has no more spite
Rejoice and leap and soar
And rebuild what was lost last night

For no storm can last long
And clear skies will always return
The trick is staying strong
Until the waves and wrath adjourn

Until next month, your XKI Update Staff is signing off - Grea Kriopia
