Hi Asmor, I am very sorry for the frustrations regarding your participation in the role play - I was not aware that the star map worked that badly on the phone. If you turn the phone on the side the screen should move so you can see a map as well as a list of systems? At least I can. But yes, the star map definitely works best on PC. Sorry!

To understand the star map and space travel, one must look for the space routes in the form of lines between the systems. The space routes, inspired by Star Wars hyperspace lanes, makes space travel fast between the connected systems.
This is to make the star map much more strategically laid out for the RP - so you cannot just warp in everywhere you want you 2 sec. For example, the Histarctican-controlled Elm system is the only way to the Ancients and their part of the Sector, as there is only that one space route that goes through the Elm system (this is what my whole event related to that system is all about.)

Asmor, your system is on hexagon 1610 - a quick new colonization could be the system located on 1611, as it is a direct neighbor to your system. Therefore, fast travel here is possible.
Or, for example, 1506 which lies on the space route between the Faros and Vuurbal systems (the entire UCP are connected by space routes).

Traveling over empty hexagons takes a long time, a very long time, and is dangerous space travel.
A journey to 1413 out in the middle of nowhere would be like that. It is not impossible, certainly not, on the contrary. And a faster option could be to discover or build a space route there, it just takes some time too, but maybe less time than the direct journey there.

The same applies to 0711 - here, however, we have an advantage as UCP has already been present in the neighboring system 0812 during the war, which in turn is a neighbor to the space route between Ventrias Prime and Volatia connected to the rest of UCP.

Sorry if the concept hasn't been clear enough, but I set it up with the idea to avoid the whole sector just being colonized in a few weeks of RP, the plan is for the Agalun Sector to last a long time before I consider building another sector.

I hope this gives you - and the rest of you - courage to continue with the above in mind. I am always available to "approve" RP ideas and posts or at least give my input on the matter.

Looking at the star map, I don't know exactly what we are going to do about it not working that great on the phone- maybe me and Whiskany (and others) can help you with this?
I could probably download the star map and upload it as an image, but then you still won't get the information that comes up by clicking on the systems.... :(

Don't abandon the 1413-idea just spend more time role-playing the event and the transformation of the system to a colony. :)

ANNOUNCEMENT

Welcome to Tyrannitopia (Empire of Abyssal Haven) as a new Confederate Member System.

Also remember the committees. :)

A question. Am I the leading non-member of the Industralists when it comes to UCP politics?

Okay, thank you for the advice. After some doing I can now see the map. What form of Faster than Light Speed starship engines are allowed in the rp?

Whiskany wrote:With the withdrawal of Asmorian forces, this makes this project much more difficult. But none the less Whiskany loves to defeat adversity. The same Whiskanian Engineering Corps that established the hyperspace route to the Volatia system is working on a new one to 1413. Mapping is 60% completed and Whiskanian Expeditionary Forces are making their way to the primary planet of the system for exploration.

If Asmor wishes to rejoin this will be available to them.

Ok, now thats all cleared up. Whiskany Asmoria shall send towards you one of our newest Exploration/Science Cruiser with our best Scouting Team to aid you with 1413.

Histarctica I wish to send two military/Exploration Task Force. One to sector 1509, and the other to 1611.

1413 was my idea for Asmor as I believe it give the UCP a further reach and advantage. Seeing how the Whiskanian Engineering Corp: Hyper Route Division expedited and completed the brand new route from Drumond to Volatia prior to the war in anticipation of the war effort, this seemed to be a great project. This was done faster than ever recorded due to Whiskany specializing in this development and devoting massive resources to it.

This is a service available for commissioning by all member systems in the UCP.

UCP-Headquarters

One thing. Based on what do I say that the Great Academy has a good education?

The education of the great academy is based on the education of Histartica, UCP-Headquarters, "Whatever-is-the-consul-of-the-moment", the UCP member with the Best Education, the Secretary of Assessment?

I am still looking to fill the Secretary of Trade at minimum, if I do not fill secretary of exploration I will handle it myself but I would love to empower someone else with this position.

the Faerun dominion would have overhauled the army with its recent changes, with a volunteer policy put in place with increased pay and some benefits to keep recruitment numbers. The S.O.D.A.S.T would also have been completly overhauled with units operating in individual battalions and all their recruits coming from willing volunteers from the army. the Airforce would also begin to undergo change with its focus being changed to precision bombing and most importantly to keep air supremacy.

on another note the Faerun Dominions government would sent a private message to the histarctica requesting at least the knowledge of why the fortress in the elm system has been made, offering that they could offer their expertise in its construction and possibly assist in its functions, but that would depend on the situation.

While the WEF 1413 project was being commissioned by Amsor, Whiskany has secretly been exploring the 0711 system as scans from forces on Victus Prime indicated a high promise for valuable resources amidst its strategic position for the empire.

WEF forces have announced the system is a mid sized system including 4 terrestrial planets (3 small and 1 large) and 1 gas planet. WEF forces have established an operations outpost for further exploration of the system.

0711 Expedition

Contacts with natives have been made. We have presented them with bountiful gifts in order to win them over. Resources are plentiful here and teams are analyzing the opportunities within the system.

Military ships are starting to arrive as there is not hyper space route yet completed this has taken a very long time. We will begin establishing a military base on the Ice planet of the system.

WEC is in the process of mapping the route to finalize development.

Policy Proposition

For my first policy proposal, I would like to present the establishment of the UCP Military Academy.
- This is not the nationalization or regionalization of the military.
- This will establish a training academy for member nations to utilize in order to develop tactics when the UCP is at war with other entities. To ensure all nations have access to state of the art military training and facilitate the transfer of knowledge from those of us with much experience and expertise to those who are not as experienced. This also provides this resource to those member nations who cannot afford or that do not have the resources.
- This will fall under the control of the Secretary of Defence

Second, we will plan a war games for all nations to participate in around Whiskany's Ventrias Prime system. This will be a deterrence to Lacon Empire and will not violate our peace treaty. This will provide the opportunity for us to develop systems and assess our ability to coordinate with one another.

Go to Whiskany about that - you two should make an agreement.

ALL ACCEPTED. Regarding space travel and the technology involved - as long as it follows the rules of the star map regarding space routes, I basically don't care. It is up to you. :)

The confederation, including now your secretariat, in extension of the government, draws the direction of the academy, be aware that there is a principal (Rylef).

Mount Anrock

In a late twist, Val-Itani Industries, with a tenuous mandate in the Imperial Commissariat, has managed to gain time and resources to maintain control of the colonization of the desert planet Lictarx. This is due in no small part to the skillful diplomatic efforts of Trade Commissioner Corrad Valreos, who has secured the company's continued right to explore the colony of Terminus II as well as the entire planet, including the infamous Mount Anrock, which is said to be filled with rich resources.

Despite the growing uncertainty of hostile organisms disturbing the mission, Commissioner Andrew Foy, in charge of the Imperial Starfleet, has ordered the imperial support fleet to withdraw from Lictarx's surface. However, the fleet remains in orbit around the planet, suggesting that the Empire has not yet fully written off their interest in Lictarx.

With the removal of the Imperial Starfleet, Val-Itani Industries now has free rein to deal with the situation on the planet's surface. Their next step will be to control the hostile organisms that threaten the safety of the colonists, while securing access to the valuable resources of Mount Anrock.

Mount Anrock must be cleared of anything that stands in the way of Val-Itani Industries' ambitions, and no resources will be spared to ensure that this strategic region comes under the company's full control.

The desert planet of Lictarx is an important piece of the galactic economy, and this development could have far-reaching consequences for both the Imperial Commissariat and Val-Itani Industries' future dominance of the region.

Farrador Planetary Fortress

In a statement to the Confederate Senate, Waldemar Reed, Commissioner of UCP Relations, has provided an important update on the status of the Farrador Planetary Fortress, which is under construction on the Elm-system moon Elmuanus I. According to the commissioner, the project is progressing according to plan and the fortress is equipped with the latest technological military installations to protect the Confederacy from external threats.

However, under pressure from several member systems, Reed had to admit that the Histarctican Imperial Intelligence Agency has detected the presence of an unknown space civilization, which has been dubbed the Ancients. Although details about this civilization were sparse, it was suggested that they potentially pose a serious threat to the security of the Confederacy.

Farrador Fortress is described as the "wall" between the Confederacy and the Ancients, and it was emphasized that this military base would be the primary line of defense should the Ancients approach.

More details about this looming civilization were not revealed, but fears of a new conflict seem to be rising among the systems.

Btw, people are welcome to tag UCP-News when they make news.
