The Municipalities of Antarctica wrote:Well... it's sort of natural when you have 600 different nations occupying the same worlds in different spheres of canonicalization.
Wars are never really looked at, nor are protectorates and puppets, it's simply too complicated to do anything sphere-related... or go to war.

This seems to make the world slightly dull. If diplomacy is an entertainment countermeasure to war, then their need be useful reasons for diplomacy. And at that, this world at least (not including the rp map) seems to fall completely subpar. In the really war their are thousands of terrorist missions, geopolitical affairs, wars, occupations, diplomacy, and economic shifts slowly changing and adjusting the world. Here their is just internal, and the occasional rogue state.

Angelica dominica wrote:Geopolitics seems usually weird here. To many nations just have unlimited economies and power through technology so their is never any justification to expand the sphere besides the spread of ideology, which is rarely even embarked on or looked at. By doing nothing you can become a world superpower.

That's because NS doesn't really have a native "map" or resources or stuff like that. Each nation is effectively in its own self-contained universe against the NPC nations of issues, and those take it for granted your nation is just there, you don't ever advance or retreat you're just sitting there.

In RP, things are more straightforward, but it requires more effort to build. Nations can become superpowers, but it's done through roleplay. Some roleplays, like ours, assign concrete numbers to certain things as a reference, but your mileage may vary.

Once you start putting numbers into things, it starts getting easier of keeping track of things

I like your funny words, mister intelligent man.

Those are some good points, though. But I kinda agree with what Jar said.

I didn’t really have much to contribute to the conversation, I just wanted to make a joke. Sorry! I’m already using my remaining brain cells.

I'm gonna go back to bed. I'm having energy problems again. Who'd've thought that being up at 5 AM up until 5 PM would make you exhausted... especially with a 30 minute walk added in.

Should I continue my CK3 Scandanavia game, my CK3 crusader game, or start a new game as the last Khazar ruler in 1066?

That’s one way of putting it. The problem of resources can be solved by an efficient, arcane technology that starlifts the local star.

If you wanted your settlement to be in Mars, it should be called Aresk'a Sich. Ares is what we Goths call the planet Mars.
