Imperial Insanity

Rambling. Crashing. Slamming. Has it been going on for days? Weeks? Three months. A council of top government ministers has kept the nation afloat, but their increasingly contradictory moves towards each other is troubling, and with Imperial taxes coming up the Imperial government will surely collapse under hours upon hours of pointless debate. The ministers know this. The Eternal Radiance refuses to let anyone into her room unless for food, and refuses to be convinced to come back and run the government. They decide to attempt to come to an agreement, and know it has to be quick. Every day the people grow more disenfranchised about the Imperial State and its noble court, mainly a disloyal and politically motivated middle class. Separatists on the frontiers of the empire stockpile weaponry waiting for the final nail in the Imperial coffin. Supremacy and Egalitarian march through the streets unopposed and armed, ready to bring down the empire at a moments notice. All while the military sit back, refusing to do something that could start a civil war. Time is of the essence.

In the halls of the Imperial Palace the royal court’s highest ministers gather for an emergency meeting, the windows are blacked out in order to prevent people spying in, and the area is even more heavily guarded than usual. “We have to try talking, we have to, there is no other way about it. We need the Radiance.” Pryvasce Minorve says as he paces around the room trying to think about the situation more thoroughly. “Talk? Their is no talk to be done” Systerna Eternita states in a calm manner “The Radiance is useless to us, and to the Imperial State.” “She is the Radiance!, the god of our people the light of our coun-!” Systerna cuts Yscvyayae’s aggressive speech off “What a god she is, locking herself in a room, doing literally nothing while everything goes to the fires of discourse.” Pecryius Dvelaounygve coughs aggressively “Shut up you two, your religious crusades against each other will solve nothing, the Radiance obviously isn’t going out so we need intern leader, above all.” “I propose we send in the army Telecommunications minister Larscvaoch Platvyae says, martial law must be put into place in order to ensure stability. Police forces should back them up.” A few glances are put at the supreme commander hiding out in the corner smoking a cigarette. “I’m not voting in this, you can [snip] up the country good enough by yourselves you javanies…” Sirnyia Prominia aggressively states.

The bickering continues, most agree that the martial law should be put in place, but then what? Foreign reaction would be intense, and the Radiance would be furious. Their needed to be a temporary leader. They decide to hold a secret ballot. The winner only had two votes.

“What will we do about our eternal radiance, she will react, and it will be bad for all of us.” Dvelaounygve inquires to the rest of the council. “Better to lock her up, she wants to be alone anyway. Silence her communication, block all contact. Put her under guard.” Systerna says. Many people immediately say the prospect is absurd and reject it. Lervard Polemsa looks at all of them and sighs. “In all my years as a faithful admiral of the empire I never even remotely conceived of such a thought. But we have no other choice.” A dark mist seems to fill the air of the Imperial Palace. Their is no more response.

A message from the capital

Loyal citizens of a great country, we come with the most terrible of news. Her eternal radiance has been declared insane. She has failed to fill the role as sovereign of our great state, so thus in light of events we have to adapt. I , Admiral Lervard Polemsa have been hereby appointed to temporary dictator of our state while the radiance is in her recovery. We declare that the radiance is indeed safe and secure within the Imperial Palace and will be given adequate treatment to her status. In order for the enhancement of the safety and for the well being of our citizens we officially declare martial law across the land. Citizens that are within the bounds of urban cities are authorized to return to their homes at once, rural citizens shall still be allowed to move around as long as it is work related. All large groupings shall be forcibly disbanded by the army. This martial period shall only be temporary until stability can be restored to our great state. No change in embassies or treaties shall be made with any foreign power and we ask for foreign countries to contiue corporation with our government as usual. I know these are struggling times but we mush push ourselves forward out of love for our people and for our country. Glory to this great state and its people.

In actuality everything is in chaos, the radiance is currently as well cared as a criminal, and the government has no plans of putting her back in charge or creating a new government, but the Imperial Angelic State lasts another day. Military forces crush the counter-protests by democrats, nationalists, and separatists alike. The government is prepared for foreign response and is ready at any moment to mobilize. Things are indeed tense in this far away land.

I made a small rp post. Enjoy if you wish.

OOC: The funny think about our government is that although the leader is a self-centered dictator, the government is so small and ineffectual that he cannot do any of the crazy stuff he wants that would trash the entire nation.

I'm just gonna go to bed. I'm pretty tired to conjure up anything that doesn't self-destruct me if I respond to AD. Anyways, Here's something that doesn't self-destruct me.
The announcement by the Angelic State has been put on repeat for a few minutes. As usual, the HDO and HDM are bickering against one another on what to do, Although it won't matter. In times of tension, The state is rather paranoid. This paranoia leads to the mobilization of one or two divisions, often with the excuse ''Better be safe than sorry''. It is no different this time, And the 5th Division has been mobilized. Meanwhile, Drifter-1 is simply incapable of any intelligence gathering, And since now basic foundations have been set up, H.A.R.A.D.O might authorize a spy satellite under pressure from the Honourboundian Intel Procurement Agency (HIPA).

Ok folks.. Good night.

*A rainy night. Matvey makes a phone call from his house, while watching the rain outside*

Arnold: "Hola, Guten tag, Merhaba, whatever. This is Ar- wait how are you calling me on my personal phone? Who is this?"

Matvey: "Good evening, Arnold. This is Matvey directly from Zvezdow. I have a certain topic to discuss with you. Long story short... I want you to increase your military peacekeepers presence in Novoblupolia."

Arnold: "Ah, good evening my dear friend. Hmm, you mean my own military peacekeepers involved and patrolling in Novoblupolia? Alright, I won't ask, since I'm sure you have your own reasons. But I must ask. Depending on what task you'll probably assign to them, will they be safe?"

Matvey: "The more there will be of them, the safer they'll be. I can guarantee on my behalf that they will be provided with excellent living conditions."

Arnold: "Huh. Alrighty then. How many forces would you suggest I station into your country? Just give a number, and I'll send over that many."

Matvey: "25 000 will do fine for now. However, I request you put a large force of at least 200 000 soldiers into mobilization readiness, so if necessary, they could arrive to Novoblupolia very quickly."

Arnold: "It doesn't take a genius to know when a bad situation is arising, but it takes an idiot to not realize. Heh, that should go in my quotebook. Anyway, personal matters aside, I'll send over 25,000 right now. I'll leave the mobilization and peacekeeping forces ordering such to one of my generals. Just send the location where you'd like us to send the forces over, and we'll do so. We'll also put in a combat ready army of 300,000 soldiers, just in case you need 'em, so don't worry about that. Is there anything specific you'd like in the peacekeeping forces? Tanks? Heavy weaponry?"

Matvey: "No need, their main purpose is supposed to be deterrence and intimidation by presence. The main aspect of such forces is their speed. If everything goes according to my plan, not a single drop of blood will be spilled."

Arnold: "I like the idea of no blood being spilled, but I'm still worried nonetheless. Alright then, it is settled. I'll send over 25,000 peacekeeping forces, for 'intimidation', and I'll keep 300,000 combat-ready soldiers ready to be mobilized."

Matvey: "Thank you, I'll update you on the the situation if things will require your intervention."

Arnold: "No problem, I'll be ready"

*Matvey hangs the phone and lights his smoking pipe. Just as he puffs out his first cloud of smoke, he hears a door bell. As he turns on the camera, he sees Uzhov standing at his door under an umbrella, holding a large bag filled with papers in his left hand. Matvey opens the door, helps Uzhov take off his wet coat and places it on the dryer.*

Matvey: "Found anything?"

Uzhov: "Yes. I found some dirty stains on political careers of various politicians. Mostly Decembrists and Modernists. There are even some dark exposals of Bastilliard party members, which, if you want me to destroy those..."

Matvey: "No, quite the opposite. Those will be revealed to the public first and the party will be purified of it's corrupt and criminally-affiliated members. I want a good cabinet to work with."

Uzhov: "Got it. And the other documents? Save them for later?"

Matvey: "I won't go all out with those for the time being. Now, as for priority number one, did you find anything on the military?"

Uzhov: "Yup, mostly on high-ranking officers and generals. Nothing on the supreme marshall though."

Matvey: "Hand these ones over to the investigation bureau and have these officials expelled from the army immediately. Needless to say, confiscate their weapons from them."

Uzhov: "Will be done sir..."

Matvey: "... Something wrong?"

Uzhov: "I... I'd like to know, if you don't mind telling me... what's the motivation between your demands for investigations and purges?"

Matvey: "Sorry, I can't tell you yet. For now, execute the orders. One thing, however, I will let you know - we are doing this for Novoblupolia. The nation, it's people, it's government and it's future. We will get rid of the enemies of the state and secure a stable safe future for the nation, no matter the cost. You may leave now."

*Uzhov and matvey share a handshake, after which Uzhov leaves, his hand shaking a little as he was picking up his coat from the dryer.*

Humanists focus on individual freedoms of self-expression, Modernists focus on science, Decembrists focus on culture and tradition, Soviets focus on principles of socialism and Bastilliards focus on fixing the mess created by other parties.

Not really. For example Bill Clinton was impeached but that doesn't mean he commited a crime.
