Mediama wrote:The United Kingdom of Mediama, while applauding efforts to restore law and order within their respective nation, is concerned with the extent to which this junta will last, and the effects that may have on the neighboring nation, Liegalla, our ally.

General Daramy wishes to reassure the Mediaman kingdom that Boguila has no intention of causing wider instability. The declaration of martial law is meant instead to reassert authority and power in the hands of the most capable, which should only strengthen and secure things in Meillur and with our neighbors.

Royal Genes wrote:The Genoise Crown denounced the usurpation of a monarch’s power’s and authority in a kingdom and demands that power be handed over to royal authority in Boguila.

That there seems to be a worrying trend of military leaders usurping royalty on the continent is of upmost concern to the Genoise Crown, and King Frederick IV is resolved to, if needs be, intervene in order to restore true monarcharic order in Meillur.

In response to the Genoise saber rattling, General Daramy has tightened security around the Royal Palace in Ouangore and placed King Saikou II in the custody of the Boguila Military Police. Intervention into the internal affairs of Boguila will be met with armed resistance.

Ajanso, Duke of Camarra and other Boguilans having grown nervous by the martial law have begun making request me for asylum in neighboring Liegalla, Genes and the Celestial Empire.

Might be time to send in the 51st Royals

Liegalla will not grant asylum to anyone fleeing from Boguila. However, Liegalla also doesn’t have an extradition treaty with Boguila… so… do with that information what you will.

Royal Wedding of King Alesandeo and Yumiko of Shimono

King Alesandeo of Gualla and Princess Yumiko of Shimono were married in a private ceremony in Shimono today, sealing the marriage and alliance between the House of Pearson-LeCastle and the Ishikawa Imperial Clan, and their respective nations of Gualla and Shimono. The marriage comes after several weeks of negotiations and then a month long engagement between the two young royals. Alesandeo (24) is the king and head of state of Gualla and Yumiko (21) is the daughter and second born child of the Emperor of Shimono. The ceremony was conducted at the Shimonese Imperial Palace. Upon their marriage, Yumiko of Shimono immediately became the new (and first) Queen consort of Gualla. Princess Avoise, niece of the King, served as flower girl for the ceremony.

The King and new Queen of Gualla are set to sail together to Gualla aboard the royal yacht as they embark on their month long honeymoon.

King Juozas II and Queen Guoda sent their sincere congratulations to the happy couple, the new King and Queen of Gualla, and shall hope their marriage shall be long lasting and full of love and children.

His Majesty the King of Genes declares unwaveringly that He regards the actual situation of His Majesty the King of Boguila as a matter of communal interest for all sovereigns of Meillur. They hope that that interest will be recognized by the powers whose assistance is called in, and that they won't refuse, together with aforementioned Majesty, the most efficacious means for enabling the Boguilan king to strengthen, in utmost liberty, the foundations of a monarchical government suiting to the rights of the sovereigns and favourable to the well-being of the Boguilans. In that case, aforementioned Majesty is determined to act promptly and unanimously, with the forces necessary for realizing the proposed and communal goal. In expectation, they will give the suitable orders to their troops so that they will be ready to commence activity."

// I’m just wondering if there’ll be an RP thread set up soon?

That sounds an awful lot like a threat, and the Boguilan Army is more than ready to defend its borders.

Royal Genes found some guides for making regional maps:

Map Guide

by Afterthefall

the map feature has been confusing so I decided to make this guide, doesn't yet cover setting the map for the region for the first time - page=create_map That's a step to be done only once and irreversible, would require a test region. I already used a test region and it took time for the create_map feature to become available. Edit: added that part at the end.
so you see, Ap envoy is also mine, and I'm going to add this blue boat on our map (nation must be represented in only one color).

now I click on "This is the map of The Coalition of Allied Peoples created by..." on the regional page, I click on "Update this Map", click on Browse (.gif because .png turned out bugged)
now I click on the boat

and when I hover mouse over it, the nation name will appear
now I click on "Update Map Version", now I click on "Update this map to this version", and it's done.
and now I can switch to that nation and endorse it, only nations present on a map can endorse the map. Not going to though, as it should be one person - one endorsement, but you should endorse it if I add your nation on it.

Note: this doesn't work with the dark theme, neither clicking on the map to assign nations, nor hovering over them to check them.

Edit: taking it from the very beginning since I used a test region

1. go to page=update_map, browse, select file and click on Update Map Version
2. go to page=create_map, select the map and click Create Map, it will show "Created a map!".

As I said, this only works once, then you have to update it.

GETTING STARTED

Start off by heading to your region. Then you will be able to see a Maps button that looks like the earth. Click it. Go to either Creating a map for the first time or Updating a map or Using someone else's map as a start in the documentation.

Creating a map for the first time:

NOT HERE YET

Go to "Update a Map" Screen in the documentation.

Updating a map

First, click on the map you would like to update.

At the bottom of the resulting screen, you should see a green link that says Update this Map. Click on it.

This will take you to the Update a Map screen where you will be able to change things.

Go to "Update a Map" Screen in the documentation.

Using someone else's map as a start

First, click on the map you would like to use as a start.

At the bottom of the resulting screen, you should see a green link that says Make your own Map Version. Click on it.

This will take you to the Update a Map screen where you will be able to change things.

Go to "Update a Map" Screen in the documentation.

"Update a Map" Screen

Uploading a new map:

You will see a large empty box when you get to the Update a Map screen. If you go to the bottom of this, you will see a button that says Browse.... Click on it.

This will open up a file explorer program on your computer to let you choose which file you would like to use.

Select the file you would like to use (to my knowledge, it has to be a picture (i.e. png, jpeg, gif) (yes, I used nested parentheses)).

Right under where you saw the Browse... button, there is a button that says Update Map Version. Click on it.

You will be taken to a strikingly similar page. Scroll down to the bottom of this new page, and hit the button that says Update this map to this version

Go to Adding Countries to the Map in the documentation.

Using an old map version:

Scroll to the bottom of the Update a Map screen. Once there, you should see a list of all previous versions of the map. Click the radial button directly to the left of one of them.

At the bottom of the screen, you will see a button that says Select Map Version. Click on it.

You will be taken to a strikingly similar page. Scroll down to the bottom of this new page, and hit the button that says Update this map to this version

Your map is now finished!

Adding Colors/Countries to the Map

This feature needs its own section, trust me.

When you arrive at the new screen, you are greeted by your new map.

Adding a country's color to the Map:

Click on one of the nations' color on your map. This will pull up a new box.

With the newly acquired box, type in the name of the nation corresponding to that color on the map (this will make all things of that same color this nation's territory!). The name is ONLY the name, not the fancy honorifics or such. For example, The Wholly Democratic States of Broken Edge, would be Broken Edge.

You will see a button in the box that says Save Color. Click on it.

You can now hover over the assigned color, and if you did this correctly, it will show the nation and its flag.

You have just assigned a color to a nation!

When you have assigned all nation colors and any sea/land colors, proceed to Finishing Up in the documentation.

Adding Sea/Land color to the Map:

Click on the sea or land color on your map. This will pull up a new box.

With the newly acquired box, click on either Sea Color or Land Color.

You will see a button in the box that says Save Color. Click on it.

You have just assigned a color to sea or land!

When you have assigned all nation colors and any sea/land colors, proceed to Finishing Up in the documentation.

Removing an assigned color:

Click on the assigned color you would like to remove. This will pull up a newer box.

Hover over the newly acquired box, and click the x button.

When you have assigned all nation colors and any sea/land colors, proceed to Finishing Up in the documentation.

Finishing Up!

When you are all done with editing the map and assigning colors, go to the bottom of the assigning colors page. You will see a button that says Update Map Version. Click on it.

This will take you to a familiar page.

Scroll down to the bottom of the page.

You will see a button at the bottom that says Update this map to this version. Click on it.

Wowie! You have made your own map! Only countries assigned colors on the map have the ability to endorse your map.

And Genes is fully prepared to restore royal authority in Boguila

All of this talk of monarchy and we’ve yet to see a monarcho-communist country.

Mediama wrote:All of this talk of monarchy and we’ve yet to see a monarcho-communist country.

There used to be one, Communist Espana, and it was a constant and ever present source of complete chaos and conflict

The Black Market for weaponry within Boguila has grown greatly following the declaration of martial law, despite General Daramy’s somewhat draconian laws in the push for law and order within the country.

So on a lighter note, how would you guys feel if I hosted a comicon-esque event in the summer, showcasing all kinds of pop culture and fan works: from novels to manga, from plays to Vtubers, alongside cosplay, fanfiction, and doujin?

Sounds lovely

Aukusans would love something like that. They are pop media epicenter of the empire

Here’s the million dollar question: are there Aukusanian Vtubers?

Mediama wrote:Here’s the million dollar question: are there Aukusan Vtubers?

I suppose probably.

The Celestial Empire shall remain neutral in the matter as of the moment, though its borders are open to those seeking asylum.

We’re so back folks!

I’m going to start with a question: What do you guys know about Phase Connect?
