I think it's not a good idea. As much as we hear about how evil social media is, it can be used to connect people, and can help children find others with similar interests online. While there are some problems with social media, I don't think that's the answer.

Curious question: Anyone have any really good ways to study that they always wanted to share?

That’s never happened before to me.

Vurk wrote:Oh, now I just wonder how many people reposted that like me. I was just curious after seeing a post with that many like. What happend that date, like 300 people thought "We're gonna establish Europe!" or there was something more dramatic happend. You know, how were old days, old posts, old Europe...

I hope I didn't do something wrong. Otherwise, sorry folks.

the true first RMB post is lost to time, since RMB archives weren't a thing prior to that iirc

Europe has been around for far, far longer than the first post, and is so old that we technically don't have a founder. The founder you see on the WFE, EuroFounder, is Myrth, a former mod that chose to take the founder title for Europe after the fact.

You can see founderless regions (which means they were founded eons ago) like belgium and Canada

very interesting, however I dislike that his historical pick is the Normans of all people, I half-expected something like Venice for Macchiavelli which makes some sense, but no apparently. I also like being able to include non-leaders in the leader pool (fuels my copium for a Jose Rizal leader)

also I love the inclusion of Mexico, finally completes the Mesoamerican track, and it's a country that's very much worth the civ spotlight (also adds onto my cope for a Philippine civ), however I still don't find myself liking the historical evolution aspect of this installment of the franchise

I've been planning to do this poll for a long time and as my position as Commissioner is coming to an end, I would like to do it now.
I would like to know which house is the most popular and which is the least

please vote:

I definitely enjoyed your polls, Leblancroux!
So... Only commissioners can make polls?

Any office can, so long as the governor gives them the job

I'm breaking the silence. 🙋‍♂️

Which one of y'all has spent an audacious amount of time just to create a war flag? I know I have.

War flag, no. National flag, yes

With social media also comes unrestricted internet access, Children having access to social media as early as ages below 12 shouldn't be encouraged. While I agree that it shouldn't be banned, I also do not think young people should have social media access, maybe make it controlled by parents so it is still up to the parent whether they wanted to let their child use electronics or what not, parental restriction/controls exist for a reason.

Let's be honest, social media nowadays is filled with weirdos who don't respect personal space, "pick me" girls and scammers. You're better off calling through the landline than calling through Snapchat. That doesn't stop me, though...

I did vote but would like to state my hatred of JK Rowling and all it stands for.

Is there something I'm not caught up with?

The Western European Commonwealth wrote:Is there something I'm not caught up with?

J K Rowling is against transgender, specifically trans women

Calbout wrote:J K Rowling is against transgenderism

*trans people/rights, transgenderism isn't a thing.

Sorry, that's what I meant. I fixed the post. Also, transgenderism is indeed a thing. Look it up.

...What?

Why is every talented person bigoted/creepy in some way now?
Why can't we go with ONE person who isn't a bigot, a pedo, or a scummy corporation?

The Western European Commonwealth wrote:Is there something I'm not caught up with?

JK Rowling has turned out to be a pretty nasty piece of work, delving so deep into her incessant transphobia that she is now even attacking cis women, and accusing them of not being "feminine" enough.

She also claims to be a feminist despite not standing for all women and having a line of femininity she thinks women shouldn't cross, yet never said a word about Roe v Wade or abortion rights being discussed here in the UK.

This also led people to look more closely at her works which revealed even more transphobia, homophobia and racism even in stuff she was writing 20-30 years ago. Which also makes her male pen-name Robert Galbraith sussy since Robert Galbraith Heath was a conversion therapist who hurt many gay and trans people in the 50s and 60s.

Cristiano Ronaldo.

Calbout wrote:Sorry, that's what I meant. I fixed the post. Also, transgenderism is indeed a thing. Look it up.

"Transgenderism" is a derogatory term, it's not one anyone who cares about trans people would ever use. It's designed to paint the idea of trans rights in a negative light and to imply it's an ideology/agenda when in reality it's just people wanting equal rights.

That's what I meant by "it's not a thing". It would be like saying the BLM movement is fighting to push 'blackism'.
