How is your sleep schedule going??

So, we've set it up so that from 8:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., I am on call to feed, change and dote on Bruce, and from 1:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. my wife takes over. Bruce sleeps pretty well, and as long as, he has a full belly, he can sleep 4 to 5 hours at a time. While my wife recovers, I've taken over all cooking, cleaning, laundry and housework duties so she can maximize time spent with Bruce as well as time spent resting.

You're probably very tired of hearing this - but congratulations! It seems you have a good handle of things, and I wish you all the best.

I didn't get to be a father till I was 40. Best thing ever - nothing is more rewarding! Enjoy every moment. (Even when you're exhausted or frustrated. *chuckles*)

Next month is Parent Independence Day for me, as my daughter graduates high school. 18 years of daycare, pre-school, grade school, middle school, high school, teachers emails, teacher conferences, school lunches, councellor calls, nurses office, permissions slips, etc is over.

Graduation = Party time for Father and Daughter alike!

Your wife is lucky to have a man by her side.
You seem to be a really nice guy. God bless your family

I'll spare you all a block quote as long as my arm and just say, thank you for all the congratulations. Bruce is no longer a newborn and is now classified as an infant--this has little actual meaning to me beyond the fact that he's put on a few pounds of weight and generates more diapers than I thought were possible. Overall, he's a pretty easy baby compared to the other babies I've helped raise in my life. I was the middle child of six with and seventeen year spread between the youngest and older. The result was that I was old enough to help raise the youngest, but not old enough to be able to say "NO!" Bruce is pretty low maintenance and just adorable enough to where waking up at 3:00 a.m. each day feels worth it.

More importantly, congratulations on your emancipation, Westwind! You are one step closer to having grandchildren to dote upon!

My heart is melting from picturing Grandpa West in his rocking chair, telling stories.

Westwind's grandchildren should join NS and hear the tales of their grandfather's grand exploits!

Vesica wrote:Silence fills the empty grave, now that I am gone

"And when the Lamb opened the Seventh Seal, Silence covered the Sky." - from The Seventh Seal by Aphrodite's Child

And then they shook away the silence, and said, "Welcome back Vesica!"

Westwind's daughter says she wants one child of her own, one to adopt, and one to foster. But she better not take too long, Westwind is already old enough to be his daughter's grandfather. Cashier at the store said to my daughter some years ago: "And are you enjoying your time with your Grandfather?" We gave each other a side-long glance and a wink.

But watch out, Westwind's daughter is already a Discord Admin and Mod in a couple other games. And she wants to play evil. Does NS need a new 'bad guy'? Just think, she was still a rugrat crawling around the floor when Westwind joined NS.

Graduation Day is Friday, and Westwind is preparing the celebration. She says the Class of 2020 is a curse. Born a amidst 9/11 terrorism, graduating in a pandemic.

Its good to be back Westwind

As someone who has graduated this year amidst this pandemic, I completely agree with your daughter! This is not how I imagined my graduation to go at all!
