Tiku Delegated!

Last October, the general election was held in Yggdrasil, in which there were three candidates: Tiku, Imperium germania, and Miriliarith who declared their intention on 8 October 2017 when Goddess Relief Office post the topic on Link the forum. The declaration period ended on 15 October 2017 as the election period started and lasted for one week. It was a competitive match between Tiku and Miriliarith (for Brad, or Imperium Germania, dissolved his campaign).

One week later, the citizens voted, media polled, and the council appointed your new Lord Chancellor, The Geniocracy of Tiku. Tiku defeated Miriliarith with the vote of 14 to 6. He will succeed Ramsea with the term for the next six month, becoming the thirtieth delegate of Yggdrasil. So congratulations!

Chancellor Tiku at the inauguration

“Denizens of Yggdrasil, the race to be Delegate is on and boy is it heating up already. Currently,

Tiku leads Miriliarith 4-3 , with Imperium Germania in last place with 0 votes.
Can the long time lurker Miriliarith win with his dank memes or will (relative) newcomer Tiku upstage him? Or will the Foreign Minister Imperium Germania sneak in an upset?” – South titania

“From Susannemariapulabaur (1st ever delegate) to Tiku (30th delegate thus counting), Yggdrasil has had delegates since 2003. Tiku, the eyes of the world set on you for an historic 30 delegate milestone. We stand behind you!” – Imperium germania

“WA nations in Yggdrasil, please begin to endorse Tiku, our new delegate (p/s: @Tiku, please start endorsing all WA nations as well, it helps because when people get endorsed, they usually endorse you back).

I'll like to take the opportunity to once again thank Ramsea, who did a great job as delegate this past 6 and half months and is now once again cute and tiny!! Ramsea I hope you will continue to stay active after this as we appreciate having you around very much.” – Goddess Relief Office

“Thank you ST and GRO! I would like to congratulate Ramsea for a prestigious tenure as Delegate. I would also like to thank Miriliarith and Imperium Germania being the opposition and for enriching the elections with diversity.

I would like to thank all the nations that voted for me and all those that voted for my competitors for making me the 30th delegate of Yggdrasil! I am honoured and sobered to accept the responsibility :)

Imperium Germania and everyone else who has congratulated me, I thank you sincerely” – Tiku

Special Editions

Hello! Dardona’s speaking. Okay, if you had kept a close eye on the election as well as the Observer, you will recognized that there were two special editions regarding the election, which was interviewing the three candidates as a third party nation. Since Brad had also joined the election, I think it might be a good idea for the Observer to be the interviewer and after this, Brad will continue his perfect series.

Dardona delivering the new editions to Ramsea's neighbourhood

I’m sure that most of you had already read them, but of you had not, here’s the links.

Special Edition | Issue 15.1| October 8 2017 | Newsletter Editor: Dardona |

Hello dear Yggdrasillian comrades! It's Dardona! Guess what? This month we're having special editions of the Observers especially for the election which is coming up! We are going to have several of them. Some of which are very interesting. Now, the first special edition has been published. What are you waiting for?

In the past days, I was thinking how the Observers’ corresponding social responsibility to the election should be. Then I came up with the ideas that the special editions should be published. Not only it seems to me that it is a good opportunity for the voters to get-to-know more about their future delegates, but also a platform for both candidates to manifest their policies. The next day, there was a conversation between Brad, Tiku and me on the Discord server about Brad's tea time series. Regarding the election, he stated that he has intention to interview Tiku and well, himself. Then we came up about the idea that for once, the interview should be held by a third nation. So that's how it started.

In this edition, it is an interview on general information about two possible candidates so you're going to know them better. More and more editions will come out eventually until the Election Day. So sit back, enjoy, and look forward to it. Stay Tuned for the 2nd part of the Observer for questions concerning the elections! Please look forward to it!

The Geniocracy of Tiku

The Free Land of Imperium Germania

Dardona - Greeting Tiku and Brad! Come have a cup of tea, have two cups of tea. Okay now first up, how long have you been in NS?

Tiku - Thank you Dardona! Yes don’t mind if I do! I’ll just put a cube of brown sugar in. Ah an excellent cup! I’ve been in NS for a little over a year. I joined NS in June last year I believe. Or May. Something like that.

Brad – As for me, I made my first nation on October 28th, 2014 at mid-day after I was recommended to make a nation by a nation called Izhmash. So, almost my three year anniversary

D – Man! I hope I was recommended like that too. Who recommended that?

B - Izhmash is a friend of mine that I met online sometime before being recommended by him.

D – How about you Tiku, what brought you to NS?

T - I don’t actually remember completely but I think I read a Did You Know Blog post about NationStates and I loved the idea.

D - That's interesting. Fortunes brought you. Lucky you found that blog.

T - Yes! Glad to be here. I really like this site. I’ll probably be here for 10-15 years

D - Hahaha, so do I. And how about the realm? What made you interested in joining the region?

T - Well I basically created a Polar Arctic Nation and I had a Viking theme. So I was looking for a Norse based region. So I was looking for set words such as Mjolnir, Norge, Yggdrasil, Aesir, etc. That’s how I think I stumbled upon Yggdrasil and chose to make it my home! I think perhaps at the time either Thembria or Skothafjordur was the delegate.

D - That seemed like you already have the ambition of finding a region of this kind.

T - Yes! I was looking for something like this! A stable neutral region mainly because I knew enough to know I didn’t know anything about NS and I wanted to play it safe

D - You're right! Yggdrasil is the best region anyway. And you? Brad?

B - Well, first I joined Valhalla because that is where Izhmash was from. I then later made a second nation in Yggdrasil as I noticed it was Valhalla's sister region. And after getting to know some of the people there I switched that nation to my primary one and the rest is history from there.

D - Oh and has Izhmas CTE already?

B - nation=izhmash
He is still playing once in a while. He participates in the Discord on rare occasion.

D - Okay, I see, and you have used Imperium Germania until now. Before you became FM, what were you doing in the realm and what inspired you to the position?

B - I became a Senator, I do believe for sometime. And before that I was getting to know a lot of the people, the customs, etc. I was very shy and nervous at first for what seemed to be no good reason. Once I just unwound myself and got out there it was a pretty great experience.

D - Yes, many people got nervous when they join a new region and you were once a Senator? I didn't know that! Now back to the current Senator, before you became the senator, what were you doing in Yggdrasil and what inspired you to the position.

T - I was always interested in leadership roles although I personally wasn’t sure if I would know enough or if I will be able to do the region justice. Even before I became Senator I genuinely I liked to reach out to nations and speak to them about their experiences and see I we could all grow together. Once I became Senator however I increased it multifold.

D - That's great! Wise words. Talking about your interests, would you mind to tell us about yourself?

T - Sure! I’m a Labour Economist by profession although I’ve now ventured into Institutionalised sales. I’m an Indian guy, originally from Kashmir in India (So I Look Middle Eastern for some reason). I moved to London some years ago to study at the LSE and then I lived and worked in Brighton, Sussex for the most part. Then a few months ago, I moved to Mumbai Office to handle National Sales. So I have dual loyalties one to the India where I grew up as a kid and one to England where I sort of became a fully functioning Adult. Otherwise I’m a pretty Vanilla normal dude. I’m an Atheist although my family is Hindu and I enjoy Doctor Who, Science Fiction and Socrates!

D - Interesting... You moved between countries for many times, I guess. People who move between countries usually have a wide range of experiences.

T - Hahaha yes. I’ve travelled way too many times. My father loved to travel and he had to travel for work. I’m trying to play catch up but he’s been to over a 120 countries and I’ve not even 20% of that Travelling gives me joy it’s my only true passion in life. I don’t play the Guitar, play any sport (except chess) and although I hit the gym I’m not a ‘fitness freak’. Although whenever I have an afternoon free or a weekend off, I’ll get on a train going to some town or village I’ve never been to! Or just stroll down a new part of town! Exploring New places, new pubs, and getting lost in new locations gives me joy!

D - True, not only travelling gives you joy but also experiences! Would you mind for tell us about yourself, Imperium Germania?

B - I am a college student with a knack for old hardware and technology, I love and still enjoy playing after 21 years the Nintendo 64 console, I also have a GameBoy Color I bring everywhere with me, playing Donkey Kong Country (an awesome platformer with a spectacular soundtrack). I collect old Operating Systems and Extend their kernels the best I can, currently I have Windows 95, 98, 2000, XP, XP x64 Edition, 7 Profesional and Ultimate (Using Ultimate right now), 10 Home, and 10 Professional. I have gotten Windows 98, running IE4, to work on bing.com so far! In short, I'm a super tech-retro individual and I still have a lot of expanding to do with my legacy collection.

D - Oh my god. I didn't expect that generation names. So I suppose your hobby is somewhat techno, right?

B - Yep!

D - Where do you live?

B - North-Central America, Northern Minnesota near Canada's Border with the US.

D - Really? Do you cross the border frequently?

B - No, not much North of me as that is one of the more undeveloped areas of Canada. I am also really bad at travelling.

D - Even within the states?

B – Yep!

D - What do you like about your city? I mean you seem to enjoy yourself there.

B - It's not that I like my city too much - I think just having been here for a long time has led me to not be used to change. That and I like my bed xD.

D - Everybody likes their beds. Do you remember that poll that Tiku started, "How clean is your personal bedroom?"

B - Haha, yes, it's fairly clean other than some clothes on the floor.

D – Yep! A sound mind in a sound bed. Back to Tiku. Regarding your nation, what does the name "Tiku" came from?

T - Well there I was really unimaginative! I just used me surname as my nation name! I’ve also used my first name to name of my primary puppets! If anyone finds both you’re welcome to find me on FB.

D - Hahaha, I'll try then. It takes me months to think of the name for a nation and take couples of months to get used to them. Good, now why did you choose the Albanian eagle?

T - Again a lot less thought went into the Albanian eagle than I would have liked now! I just thought that the Eagle looked imposing, regal and not something to be trifled with. I also didn’t want random strips of colours for my flag, Red signifies blood and the Eagle signifies the eagle that drew the blood

D - Cool! Many nations too have a lot of stripes and look weird. Eagle also a good symbol to represent a nation. That was well chosen I guess. So Brad, what is your nation's name, Imperium Germania derived from?

B - I guess from Latin. I wasn't too sure what to name it, the only name in recent time that I like is my secondary nation "Solariia" That one has been around for sometime now and I like where its story is going.

D - And generally, why did you choose that name?

B - It took me a while to come up with either, I had been thinking of good names for my nations for almost a year and a half. First impressions are important

D - Agreed. I assume that it has something to do with Germany, am I right?

B - Yes, Imperium is Latin for Governance, or control. Germania was I think the Roman name for Germany when it was a power. I typically make a nation name on what language I am studying the most - except, my latest, Solariia, stops following this trend to make it easily convertible. For Solariia, it's become "Solis Imperium of Solariia"

D – Haha, that makes sense. I sometimes use "The Dardonic Republic of........" for my puppet. So I guess, Sprechen Sie Deutsch?

B - Ich lerne Deutsch im Universität.

D - Oh that's good. Now it's understandable that your flag is black red and gold.

B - Schwarz, Rot und Gold, through darkness and blood, they found the light.

D - Alright! Thank you for joining the interview both of you. That's the end of part one. I hope you do enjoy this!

Special Edition | Issue 15.2| October 12 2017 | Newsletter Editor: Dardona |

A nice cup of tea is on the table and the autumn wind is blowing by the window. Good evening everyone! It’s your host Dardona coming with Brad, Tiku, and the newest candidates that declared his status unexpectedly and surprisingly, Miriliarith.

Four days ago, GRO posted on the RMB about the delegate declaration period that it had officially begun and it’s going to end on 15 October, 2017 and that’s when the Election Day starts!

The Observer strongly urges all Yggdrasil's member nations to take part in the election. The region’s democratic future depends on your votes since voting is one of the keystone principles of democracy.

As days go by, the Election Day is getting closer and it seems that both candidates are busy preparing their campaign. So in this edition, you can expect the general ideas on one’s policies. I’m sure you’ll enjoy this and don’t forget to stay tuned because the special editions can be published whenever and wherever. Please look forward to it!

Dardona – Greeting and salute my dear friends of Yggdrasil! Today, before we get into the policies of each candidate, let’s welcome our newest candidate here. Miriliarith, thank you for joining us!

Miriliarith – Thank you for inviting me.

D - Okay now first up, how long have you been in NS?

M - I have been in NS for roughly around two years.

D – Two years, that’s a year less than Brad and a year more than Tiku. And what brought you to the game?

M - What brought me to the game......was. Well interesting .....because I was searching for Panzer Fahren because it was interesting and I like GuP a lot. I came up on a wikia that told as it were a real sport, so i kinda believed it and looked who were participating. One nation led to another I came upon NationStates.

D - Well said. So since you have been playing NationStates, what made you join Yggdrasil?

M - As the little small nation I was very new, very big eyed getting the flood of telegrams yeh that was fun. Then from reading all of the tele's I got, it was GRO's telegram that for some reason made me feel fuzzy and warm in the inside. Because of that, I made my decision to join Yggdrasil.

D - So you joined at the very first sight?

M - Yep!

D - Cool! Those nations are hard to find. GRO will be very pleased to find out that his recruitment telegram works! Could you tell us about yourself?

M - Ok....a brief description of myself I am a 16 year old male who is currently in high school enjoying games like NS and Kancolle, and nice warm food that keeps me cozy, I also like to RP as well.

D - Really? What kind of RP

M - Well any sort (but not the type where it gets......touchy touchy ya know what I'm saying) wether it be a dungeon master to a small band of raiders or a nation's official keeping foreign relations as good as possible so that a nuclear war doesn't break out.

D - Yep, I understood and is that why you stood for that interregional Olympic committee member?

M - .......well yep

D - So what is your nation's name, both Miriliarith and Koroboshiv came from?

M - Miriliarith came out of nowhere actually, I was thinking hey I want a nation where it looks good and great but in truth was a complete lie, so the word liar got stuck in my head and eventually the name was formed. Everyone forgets the middle child.
Koroboshiv on the other hand came out from a meme my friends kept going on screaming KoroKoroKoroKoro then it popped up with a horrible Russian accent, I decided to make a nation out of that meme for lulz and the personality of Koro should always be loud, cute, and annoying
THOUGH IT DOESNT MEAN IM REALLY A LIAR

D - I knew it! Koro is a Russian.

M - Da.......memes

D - Okay, in term of candidacy, why do you think voters should vote you?

M - Because I am new! (This is a really horrible way of telling people to vote for me). Ok on a serious note well it's because I'm generally active, I want to try and encourage activeness across the region (with events and the similar liking with role play) or if not keep the people's peace and quiet (also I can flourish the region with dank memes and anime art).

D - Can you specify the events and role plays? What you're going to do?

M - Nation of the month! Was something I desired to see as an event something that would be meaningful for the census reports that no one really cared about, Who can make the best / worst pun.....small events that could be meaningful.......role play....*ya know what DnD sessions if anybody wants to go for it *

D - Cool, so the region will be active under your delegacy.

M - Well hopefully

D - Alrighty, how about foreign policy?

M - OPEN DOORS - oh wait in a sense that is bad. Foreign policy would be easily simplified to "be nice to those who are nice to you and always question those who are nice".

D - Simple yet meaningful.

D - So considering the position of delegate, why do you want to run up for candidate, Brad?

Brad - It was just a split-second decision I made. I haven't held the position of Chancellor of Yggdrasil yet, I was delegate of Valhalla though at one point. As a Senator I was intent on being one, as with running as delegate, I'd like to be one, but I'm thrusting myself out there, I'm not 100% on my plans as of yet.

D - You have gotten no plan in particular yet?

B - Not as of yet, it will be relayed much more clearly in that factbook. What I can tell you is that we need to review our current alliances.

D - In a way yes, I am more focused on agreements we made with regions we don't share embassies with, as well as regions that have embassies with regions we have embassies with, but don't have one with us. Basically, We're A, our ally is B, and another third party region is C. We need to review our alliances between A and B, as well as agreements between A and B, and B & C. A comprehensive look at first and third party agreements / alliances. I cannot disclose any comprehensive details in what I am looking for now however.

D - Interesting point, do you have any other general policies to share?

B - Not at this time as I believe our alliances will be vital, and not just for Yggdrasil but that of the Realm, including Valhalla.

D – Okay, it’ll all be in your factbook I suppose. So everybody, looks forward to it!. Now Tiku, I hope you can share our ideas with us. Is it the same thoughts when you ran up for senator?

Tiku - Well similar thoughts yes. See in my personal opinion Yggdrasil doesn’t have any ‘flaws’ so much as some ‘imperfections’. Or to put it another way, As far as regions go, Yggdrasil doesn’t need anything ‘fixed’. Only certain improvements. One of the points I will advocate as Delegate is a point brought up by some prominent nations that I spoke to. Over time we’ve had certain nations such as Nationhelper, New Fiera etc. come into the region with not the purest intentions. I am going to explore the possibility of perhaps setting up a Citizenship program or a minimum requirements policy, working with GRO and the other prominent nations working to create a fix that will be right for Yggdrasil. Other than this, I would also like to speak to nations throughout Yggdrasil and seek what other imperfections can be fixed. Yggdrasil as I’ve stated before needs to be ‘maintained’ and not exactly ‘fixed’. I would therefore in addition to the above, seek to maintain Yggdrasil’s excellent relations with other regions and nations and perhaps foster an even greater cross RMB communication with our allies. I will of course be on guard to fix any and all problems if they appear in the future.

D - True, that's a very good point. To improve not to fix and fix some point if necessary.

T - Yes. That is the goal. To Maintain and Improve

D - So that's the main goal of your delegacy and do you have the specific point to improve the region?

T - Yes to recommend and explore a citizenship program. In addition to increasing cross regional RMB communications with existing allies and to ensure our region gets out there on a global stage as we currently need the fresh meat (new recruits). I would prefer our nation count to be north of 350.

D - Yeah, our region really needs to be on the world stage and climb to a high number of members. And Miri, Are you looking forward to recruiting new members?

M - Lemme see the numbers.....277 peps well yes but not too much well I would like to see the region's average nations be around 300-350 nations.

D - Yes, Yggdrasil population peak was 500.

M - Woah 0.0

D – Now back to Tiku, How are you going to manage the foreign affairs to assure that goal?

T - Ah an interesting challenge really. I am of the opinion that Imperium Germania (Brad) has done a fantastic job as Foreign Minister. What I might do differently perhaps is on one hand to ensure a more aggressive recruitment drive through the feeders, while on the other hand increase our RMB participation within our allies. This of course is a broad outline and I will change and adapt my Foreign Policy as per the environment through my tenure, while maintaining at my core my intention to increase recruitment, improve communications and increase a level of friendliness within our allies.

D - Sounds good, being proactive on recruiting nations will surely bring us a prolific number of nations. Besides encouraging them to come here, you need to certify them that our region is worth their stay. And that means the Interior Affairs. What do you think your policy on this affair will be?

T - An excellent point. Our interior affairs I believe are in the top 1% of the NS world. We have a cultivated Forum, an active Discord meme exchange, Daily Comics and a somewhat active Roleplay. Here what we can improve perhaps are 2 key points: 1. An improved roleplay. Personally I’m not a fan of RP but I do place value on it. It’s certainly something a large region of NS are really interested in and so under my Delegacy I will seek to identify nations that are particularly interested in RP and work with them to see how we can encourage them to be more active. An active RP will help us retain and attract new nations. My other key point, would be to encourage political parties and political debates. Not IRL politics but NS politics. We currently have 2 political parties YggSP and TUP
Of which only the YggSP are ‘truly’ active. I would like to form my own Political Party after the elections and also encourage other nations to create parties of their own! We can certainly energise and encourage healthy political debate within our region.
While I don’t like to repeat points but the Citizenship program which will be a refining of rules, such as minimum stay, minimum number of RMB posts, etc. will help us sort travelers passing by to permanent residents of our regions. These requirements will be fine-tuned as I have stated and will form a core part of my internal policy agenda.

D – How about your policy on culture and communication, Miri?

M - Diversify! Cross regional communication! But to those who want it though....I wouldn't want to force people into trying communicating with other regions if they don't want to.

D - Hmm, are you thinking of cross regional forum?

M - In a sense. But we have that. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm. But Ye

D - Oki should you get more ambassador and promote cross regional events?

M - Well not more ambassadors but to consolidate and strengthen relations with already existing ties to other regions! Then promote cross regional events!

D - Okay cool.

M - Well as a start

D - Fascinating! So under your delegacy, a lot of activities and creative energies will advance. Tiku, How about cultural and communication topics? Do you have any plan for the polls or any spectacular events or awards?

T - Yes! I hope to be able to install quite a few changes in Internal Policy. With regard to cultural and communication topics, I’m glad you asked because I wanted to begin a Bi-Annual Yggdrasilian awards ceremony. Something on the lines of, “Best RMB comment”, “Best new flag”, “Most Kawaii banners”, Most annoying nation on the RMB”, and several other such positions. My idea was that these awards can be distributed based on popular votes, once every 6 months. It will require some fine tuning but I see great potential in the idea! These awards can be passive aggressive and therefore be a fun way to let out some steam. I am aware that Yggdrasil has had some of these awards such as cutest flag, etc. based on the RMB but I want to create a proper forum section and properly documented and revised set of awards. As for communication policy, to be perfectly honest with you, I haven’t given that any thought. I believe that between the 3 modes: RMB, Forum and Discord, we are perfectly equipped on that front. However, I will continue adding polls as I already do, as I believe they are an excellent way to learn more about our fellow Yggdrasilians.

D - Bold ideas! I think that many members here would love to have that sort of events too. Now let's move to this topic in which many nations are interested, the YDS. Any policies on our non-raiding defense force?

T - Ah the YDS! I’ve been an active member of the YDS since I joined Yggdrasil I believe! No as far as the YDS is concerned, I think it’s in the very adequate hands of our fearless commander Wordy. The YDS is a reactionary body and not a proactive one. In that regard, the less we are forced to assemble the YDS the better. So my policy on YDS will be to ensure it continues the way it is.

D - Yeah "Yggdrasil is Switzerland of NationStates", one of our unofficial motto. And you, Miri?

M - YDS is meant as a neutral unit that defends the region and those that are close to the region, not meant as an international defenders region nor raider. And I intend to keep it that way.

D - That's the very first intention of YDS, isn't it. And Wordy is doing a great job too. So, last but not least, do you have anything else to say to our dear member states?

M - To those who are excited to vote, vote for those who are deemed worthy by you.....i maybe new but I would like your support for me to be the delegate!! Happy hunting!

B - Despite what seems to be increasingly shrinking numbers in regional population, as well as a lack of updates from some of our allies, the regions safety is the utmost importance. And I believe that our alliances, following a comprehensive review, will lead to greater regional acknowledgement alongside our allies and those to-be.

T - Lastly I would like to encourage the nations of Yggdrasil to vote for me, because I embody The Future, the next step forward, taking our proud region into the future. I would like to bring in certain new changes, perhaps revive some old topics and eventually improvise and adapt for the future that we are all lovingly moving towards

D - Thank you very much Brad, Miriliarith, Tiku for joining this interview. Good Luck on the election!

B - Thank you for having me.

M - Thank you for this time Dardona.

T - Thank you Dardona! It was a pleasure being interviewed and before I go I would just like to say that I think you’re doing an excellent job with the Observer! I look forward to every new edition and I’m happy that the Observer is in safe hands

D - Thank you very much three of you! Everybody, I hope you enjoy it. Please look forward to the election!

Super Barry Brothers is the most popular video game in the nation, the government has an entire department dedicated to staring at microscopes and writing down letters, major internet servers have acquired citizenship, and human tissue is grown in vats as a delicacy as well as for transplants. Crime is totally unknown. Tiku's national animal is the Phoenix, which soars majestically through the nation's famously clear skies.

Imperium germania

The Free Land of Imperium Germania is a massive, safe nation, notable for its museums and concert halls, daily referendums, and keen interest in outer space. The hard-nosed, hard-working, democratic population of 1.078 billion Germans enjoy a sensible mix of personal and economic freedoms, while the political process is open and the people's right to vote held sacrosanct.

The relatively small, outspoken government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Education, and Healthcare. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Rohrfeld. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 15.0%.

The powerhouse German economy, worth 115 trillion Universal Standard Dollars a year, is broadly diversified and led by the Information Technology industry, with major contributions from Tourism, Arms Manufacturing, and Book Publishing. Average income is an impressive 107,554 Universal Standard Dollars, with the richest citizens earning 6.9 times as much as the poorest.

Foreigners with shady pasts are fleeing the country, anti-government web sites are springing up, counselors have to sign pledges supporting gay rights before they can speak to any patients, and the government is promoting multicultural values with the new 'Just Be Nice, OK?' initiative. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown. Imperium Germania's national animal is the Two-Headed Black Eagle, which is also the nation's favorite main course.

Miriliarith

The Imperial Rule of Miriliarith is a massive, cultured nation, ruled by Queen Agita Haltz with an even hand, and notable for its rum-swilling pirates, keen interest in outer space, and multi-spousal wedding ceremonies. The compassionate, hard-working, democratic population of 4.589 billion mirithians have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

The medium-sized government juggles the competing demands of Industry, Education, and Defense. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Savesta. The average income tax rate is 36.4%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The frighteningly efficient Miriliarithian economy, worth 659 trillion Liar Marks a year, is led by the Tourism industry, with significant contributions from Information Technology, Book Publishing, and Retail. Average income is an impressive 143,812 Liar Marks, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 2.4 times as much as the poorest.

Depression sinks in after each election when voters realize they are stuck with these people for years, government policy is dictated by The way of the Wolf, teenage TV characters are played by thirty-year-olds by the end of the second season, and scientists spend more time enduring government inspections than they do on actual science. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown. Miriliarith's national animal is the mammoth wolf, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its national religion is The way of the Wolf.

Slightly Invaded

On 27 October 2017, we'd gotten several nations that came into Yggdrasil. All of them were puppets, they were founded, most dismissed all issues and immediately jumped to Yggdrasil. We had 285. When Tiku took office on Sunday, there were around 250 nations. So there are at least 20-30 new nations.

The Chancellor had analyzed that it may be an invasion at the first sight, but after some discussions among defenders, he knew that they used us as a place to store puppets before they invade the final target. Who is the invader? Nobody knows.

Three hours after the suspicious rate of immigrated nation, Tiku decided to banject some of them whom he suspected to keep the true nations who wish to stay here stay. So the region was safe and sound once again.

Solariia

A few days after the election had started, Brad Conley, or Imperium Germania, had gotten zero vote. Consequently, he declared on the RMB that he wish to dismiss his campaign and join his force with Tiku, resulting in many nations became heartbroken. Thus, nobody voted for him although he was not excluded on the poll.

“As the election results show my position in the rankings, I have officially dissolved my campaign and will instead be forming an agreement with Tiku. I will go in-depth once we have reached a full agreement and understanding on what is to come. I congratulate the other contestants of this election so far.

Don't feel bad for me! I am perfectly fine with Tiku winning; I ultimately was a one-issue candidate while Tiku had a grand plan, so I figured we should incorporate each others issues into one :)” – Brad as Imperium Germania

Serjo helping Solariia to move his thingy to his new office

Later on, Brad announced that he is going to retire Imperium Germania and instead, use the nation Solariia and will continue his tenure as the foreign minister of Yggdrasil.

“Hey all! With this election season wrapping up, and I starting university, I am taking some time to clean up my footprint on NationStates. Imperium Germania is being retired and replaced by Solariia.” – Brad as Imperium Germania

New Councillors Appointed

As stated above, the current elected delegate, Tiku, was a Vanir Senator. According to the constitution, senatorial election should be held every four months. And now the seat is vacant until Tiku appointed Dardona to be the deputy senator until the second Tuesday of January 2018. He shall be the senator in charge of Yggdrasil as if he was an actual senator, according to the constitution.

Tiku further appointed the old but new nation to be the next Foreign Affair Minister, which is of course Solariia. Solariia will be acting as the minister from now on instead of now-retired Imperium Germania.

“I would like to announce that Brad Conley (Owner of the nation Imperium Germania) has won a second term as the Foreign Affairs Minister under my administration. Brad has not only served Yggdrasil well as an FA minster but he was also the Delegate of Valhalla. For the record, I only received one application for the position and therefore much deliberation wasn't required. Brad would like to use his Main Nation for the position, retiring Imperium Germania.

Therefore Yggdrasil, may I present to you, your Foreign Affairs Minister: The Solis Imperium of Solariia

Again, a position with only one candidate who applied. However, the candidate in question is a well-known, highly active and is a Nation well loved by the community. I speak of course of our fantastic Editor-In-Chief Dardona! Dardona will be assisting us in the duties of a Senator without acquiring a seat in the council. This position is only valid until the 2nd Tuesday of January, when Fresh elections shall be held for the position of the Senator of Vanir.

Presenting your new, Deputy. Senator of the Vanir: The Imperial State of Dardona” – Tiku on the regional telegram

New Embassy

Another successful diplomatic mission led by Solariia, Norden and Yggdrasil had agreed to construct a three month temporary embassies! Yay!

I wanted to make one last poll before I resign...

You have a free evening and you and your friend want to go get some food. Your friend won't eat anything, because he doesn't have a stomach anymore, but will give you company. Also, your friend is blind and his nose doesn't work so he can't judge you for what you choose to eat. However, today is St. Tiku day where its free food all day. Where do you go and what type of food do you eat?

Should I add Capital Cities to the map? - Anon Zytose
Version 1.1.0 is under development. This at least means thicker, textured national borders. I had also received a suggestion last month of adding cities. So, should I move forward with that idea?

"After seeing this, I looked up "no stomach" and found that gastroectomy is a real procedure that is done on patients with stomach cancer. The stomach is removed and the esophagus is linked directly to the small intestines. I've seen a few articles that say the body can adapt to a lack of stomach by having the small intestines take up the role of sufficiently digesting food. However, I have yet to figure out exactly how that happens.

In any case, I hope your friend is doing well. :o" - Anon Zytose

[b][u]Tiku Delegated![/u][/b]

Last October, the general election was held in [region]Yggdrasil[/region], in which there were three candidates: [nation]Tiku[/nation], [nation]Imperium Germania[/nation], and [nation]Miriliarith[/nation] who declared their intention on 8 October 2017 when [nation]Goddess Relief Office[/nation] post the topic on [url=http://www.half-hp.net/yggforums/] the forum[/url].

He will succeed [nation]Ramsea[/nation] with the term for the next six month, becoming the thirtieth delegate of Yggdrasil. So congratulations!

[center][img]https://i.imgur.com/PQNDieYl.jpg[/img]
[i]Chancellor Tiku at the inauguration[/i][/center]

“Denizens of Yggdrasil, the race to be Delegate is on and boy is it heating up already. Currently,

Tiku leads Miriliarith 4-3 , with Imperium Germania in last place with 0 votes.
Can the long time lurker Miriliarith win with his dank memes or will (relative) newcomer Tiku upstage him? Or will the Foreign Minister Imperium Germania sneak in an upset?” – [nation]South Titania[/nation]

“From [nation]Susannemariapulabaur[/nation] (1st ever delegate) to Tiku (30th delegate thus counting), Yggdrasil has had delegates since 2003. Tiku, the eyes of the world set on you for an historic 30 delegate milestone. We stand behind you!” – [nation]Imperium Germania[/nation]

Ramsea I hope you will continue to stay active after this as we appreciate having you around very much.” – [nation]Goddess Relief Office[/nation]

Imperium Germania and everyone else who has congratulated me, I thank you sincerely” – [nation]Tiku[/nation]

:o" - [nation]Anon Zytose[/nation]
