Chilean Guard

Introduction

The Chilean Guard are the leading force behind both the military and the police of The Great Chili. They are highly elite soldiers fit for combat against any enemy due to the fact they all receive genetic augmentation, performance enhancing power armor, situationally aware AI implanted into their heads, as well as the best gear and training TGC has to offer all among many other things. That said they are also highly expensive. They mostly deal with international affairs however they can sometimes receive requests from Chancellors and/or Senators to deal with issues in their District/Region, requests that the Guard may or may not accept. All members of the Chilean Guard are clones, all bred and raised to be the perfect soldiers by gathering the genetic material of some of the best soldiers in Purira's history. The following is a picture of the generic Linkclone. They can however have notable variance among them, such as growing hair of a different style or color, so this is just the very basic template of a clone. Nearly everything that make up the guard is stolen in some way: Armor research stolen Wabacha, Synnadine and Czargonia. Genetic research stolen from Synnadine, Czargonia and Marabec. Power suit research stolen from Synnadine and Czargonia. Mech suit research stolen from Wabacha. Weaponry research stolen from all of the above. The Senate combined all of this and more to create their Chilean Guard which, while each Senate variation of the individual programs are inferior to the originals, all together and combined into one single super soldier makes for the most terrifying super soldiers imaginable.

Their armor is specially designed with powerful, kinetic barriers that virtually stops most projectile attacks especially those from small to mid caliber weaponry. Theses barriers can weaken and break with enough continuous pressure but they recharge in a few seconds, though physical attacks render the barriers useless which is when the armor comes in. The armor itself is designed to be able to withstand even a direct shot from a tank with no damage, so it can take a whole lot of punishment. Their guns are specially made, unique firearms that utilize incredibly advanced plasma based arms capable of "eating" it's way through most metals with a single round as well as quickly destroying shields rendering shields useless, though contact with another physical object instantly cools down the plasma so once it makes contact it doesn't go much farther. Since it superheats metal, essentially eating through it, every hit also weakens most armors making it easier for the following round to do more damage or for other means of attack to be much more effective. Knowing some enemies may be immune to plasma their weapons can also fire high velocity, heavy impact rounds designed to completely bypass shields and pierce armor. Similar ammunition is typically used in anti-tank firearms, though these rounds also harness some degree of electrical discharge, hence how it disrupts and even bypasses shields.

Clone Designations

Since they are clones they also do not have actual names, rather they are given designation letters and numbers relative to their clone number and either their specialization or unit assignment. CT stands for clone trooper which makes up the large majority of the Chilean Guard. Then there's CC which stands for clone commander who, as the name suggests, have the leadership of another group of clones large or small. There's also ET which stands for elite trooper, some of the best clone troopers there are. Then there's SG which stands for Senate Guard, the personal guards of the Senate. They are specially bred and are much more expensive than normal clones, hence why they aren't made in mass. There's also ARC which stands for Advanced Recon Commando, clones who specialize in recon and surveillance though they are also elites. Generals are given the designation CG which stands for clone general. Field Marshall's are given the designation letters FM while the commander in chief is CIC. There's also SC which stands for Senate Commando, who serve directly under the Senators doing their every bidding (still very different from SG). Another designation, CA, stands for clone assassin which are clones specially trained in assassination. The final designation that is used is DMS which stands for demolition specialist, clones who specialize in either both arming and disarming explosives or using heavy weapons and explosives themselves...generally both. After that they are given a random number to complete their designation. Older clones tend to have lower numbers, though as clones die their designation number becomes recycled and given to a new clone. No matter what however, a clones number consists of at least 4 digits even if three of them are zero, though they can have more than just four as well.

Armor

Most guard members are given a specialization in which they focus on such as sniping, agility, CQC, heavy weapons, etc. Depending on their specialization they will receive either light, medium, or heavy armor. These specializations will also determine which additional genetic augmentations they receive on top of the ones all soldiers already are given. Soldiers who specialize in sniping would receive light armor with augmentations that boost their eye sight, control over their bodies, and things like that while heavy weapons specialized soldiers would receive heavy armor with enhancements towards their size, strength, durability, etc. All three armor sets come in a stock, default version which is given to every soldier. From there soldiers typically customize and modify their armors to anything from different color schemes to even removing or altering pieces of armor to fit their given tastes and/or specialization. There are only a few palette options that are not allowed and a few that are forced. Customization is only allowed upon one reaching the rank "Specialist". Additionally all platoon leaders must have white armor with yellow accents, all company leaders must have white armor with red accents, all battalion leaders must have white armor with blue accents, and all regiment leaders must have silver armor with gold accents. Beyond that all soldiers ranking Brigadier or higher must have Gold Armor with their choice of accents outside of silver, which is reserved for Field Marshall's and the Commander-In-Chief only. Lights and visors are completely open to any color, with no colors being off limits. Other than that soldiers can pick from any color combination they like, even pink and yellow tie-dye if they feel like getting beaten to a pulp by their squad mates. The following is the default Chilean Guard armor in light, medium, and heavy from left to right. The palette for default armor is black with gold accents, blue visors and blue lights:

Ranking System

The ranking system of the Chilean Guard follows that of the real life United States Army, for the most part, with few differences. The chain of command and unit sizes are also the same. The Commander-In-Chief of the Chilean Guard controls the entire military and all law enforcement in The Great Chili with the only people having more power than them being the Senators, who generally prefer to stay out of such matters anyway. Privates and Specialists are only enlisted soldiers, thus they have next to no power in the chain of command. Upon promotion to Specialist is also when soldiers are allowed to begin customizing their armor which is not mandatory unless they are promoted to being in the position of leading platoons or larger groups, as listed before. All ranks from Corporal to Command Sergeant Major are Non-commissioned Officers. Such people are eligible to lead smaller groups of soldiers, such as fireteams and squads. They are typically out ranked however by Warrant Officers who end up taking leadership over such teams in most situations. Second Lieutenants, First Lieutenants, and Captains are all Commissioned Officers who take command over Platoons and, in the case of Captains, Companies as well. Majors, Lieutenant Colonels, and Colonels are Field Officers who are granted the ability to lead Battalions and Regiments though Majors are typically outranked in the latter two often instead leading companies.

Finally there are General Officers, which is every rank from Brigadier to General. These are the soldiers who must have gold armor, which signifies their rank and makes them stick out. There is only one color of accent these soldiers are not allowed to use. This color is silver, which all Field Marshall's and the Commander-In-Chief must use for their accents while gold is their primary. Field Marshall's are the acting leaders of the Chilean Guard while on the field, as the CIC typically does not engage in combat or even enter the battle. Only the CIC and Senators can veto their actions and decisions. Additionally soldiers do not have enigma's on their armor unless they so choose to customize it that way, only on their off duty uniforms come made with their enigma. Rather the chip implanted in every soldiers head serves many purposes. The first and main purpose is the AI which assists them in any way possible both in and out of combat. Other purposes however include a connection to a large server which automatically updates every second, uploading all ranking information to every soldiers head so they automatically know the rank of any soldier they encounter even if said soldier was just promoted. This chip also has a self destruct option which fries the soldiers brain and kills them should they disobey orders.
