The Church of Light, or the Sun God, is the all-dominant and established, state-supported, church of Histarctica and its star dominions.
The supreme secular authority of the church is the reigning monarch while the ecclesiastical head is the Archbishop of Entioch.

Before Entioch was transformed into the Imperial Capital, the city was already a holy place for the followers of the Light. As far back as the beginning of the Fifth Era, Entioch has been referred to as a holy city and the object of pilgrimages. During the Sixth Era, the Bishop of Entioch was elevated to Archbishop and head of the Church, and during the current Imperial Era, the Church has confirmed Entioch as the ecclesiastical capital of the entire Church of Light with Saint Akard's Grand Cathedral as its main seat.
