Histarctica, formally the Holy Empire of Histarctica but also known as the Holy Empire, Star Empire or simply the Empire, is a human spacefaring military industrial theocratic-like monarchy located in the small
Cezza Star System with their homeworld on the planet Histarctica, the second planet in the system, with one orbiting moon named Minur.In addition to the planet Histarctica, the Cezza Star System consists of three other planets, the innermost and resource-rich lava planet Anruz, the third planet, the desert planet Lictarx, and the fourth and outermost gas giant, Enruz, which has 16 orbiting moons.
The Imperial Capital and largest city is Entioch, located on the Histarctican homeworld, which houses not only the Imperial Family's residence, the Autumn Palace, as well as the Imperial Commissariat but also the headquarters and senate of the United Confederation of Planets.
The vast majority of the Histarcticans are believers of the Church of Light, also known as the Sun God, which is closely associated with the imperial power.
Brief Historical Overview
The formation of the Holy Empire of Histarctica dates back to the end of the Seventh Era and beginning of the Eighth, today more commonly known as the Imperial Era, when the Great Noble House of Aertaris defeated their last rivals in the long bloody and destructive conflict for supremacy over the planet.
With the support of the dominant religion, the Church of Light, High Lord Vanor Aertaris crowned himself emperor of the newly established Holy Empire of a united planet. Through the rule of Emperor Vanor, now known as Vanor the Unifier, as well as later monarchs, society became highly industrialized and militarized, and the Church experienced great influence at the Imperial Court.
Space travel, planetary colonization and space exploration were already well established before the founding of the Empire, but with the new unified power structure, space technology and exploration became a core industry under imperial rule.
About two centuries later, the Empire made contact with the first space civilizations, which resulted in the founding of the United Confederation of Planets.
