Regarding the "Safe Passage and Asylum Act"
As of February 13th [year 2024] the "Safe Passage and Asylum Act" has passed between Johannes land and Night City. The "Safe Passage and Asylum Act" aims to protect and transport refugees escaping

The Act declares refugees will be given the opportunity for citizenship in Johannes Land or safe passage to Night City. This response aims to clarify the process for refugees entering Night City.
» Upon arriving at the Night City Border Checkpoint, refugees will be screened and questioned in order to ensure the safety of all of Night City's corporations and residents.
» A digital profile and fingerprint identification card will be created for each refugee passing through our borders.
» A physical examination and submission to any necessary vaccinations is required for refugees to be cleared for entry into Night City.
» Citizen status will not be given upon arrival to Night City.
» Refugees will be held in a waiting center until everything is in order for all civilians travelling together in a party.
» Refugees must stay in the checkpoint until they are cleared.
» Food and drink will be available for purchase in the waiting centers.
» Once all documents have been approved, refugees will be allowed to enter under refugee status.
While in Night City, refugees:
» are subject to the same laws and legislation as all citizens in the Free City of Night City.
» must obey all directions by corporate and police authority, if asked.
» are not entitled to any special benefits under refugees status: Night City is the "City of Dreams" and relies on hard work from citizens and corporations to prosper. Refugees must find jobs to maintain themselves or risk living unhoused.
For any questions or concerns, refugees may contact the Institution for the Protection and Assistance of Refugees (IPAR). Answers will be provided in three to four business days and any further assistance will be negotiated between the refugee and IPAR.
